We Googled this location and went to close our CIBC account after our mortgage was transferred to another bank. The staff initially suggested us to go to another branch. While we were sitting at the waiting area, searching for a better solution by ourselves, Flora approached us, and offered help. Instead of pushing us away, she sat down with us, spent plenty of time, patiently solved our issues one by one. “My family have been banking with the Ladner branch of the RBC for almost three years. I have come to know the majority of people in the branch and can say that they are some of the nicest, most helpful professionals I have met. I am not especially app savvy and whenever I would get stuck they would guide me through their computers, step-by-step there and then to resolve my issue. Whatever problems we had they would come to our rescue. I have developed a great rapport with them and have come to see them almost as friends. I particularly want to pick out five individuals.
Jibran is a great manager, he always stays calm, treats all customers with equal respect. When my laptop got hacked, he took the time to walk me through the process of securing my account and cards.
Katherine, Sharon and Carla are incredibly kindhearted. employees. Not only are they friendly, but they have been so reassuring whenever I lost a card or needed to get some documentation for either my taxes, university requirements, or my children's schools. I feel a great amount of trust in their ability and, just as importantly from my point of view, the empathy they show.
Deepak is really helpful for certain emergencies. When we couldn't get a credit card in time for an important payment, he showed us the ropes of getting a virtual debit card and literally solved our problem on the spot.
I have noticed some negative reviews for this branch, and all I can say is that these people are human beings not just employees. As customers we should also give them the respect and friendliness they deserve and not just treat them as resources. Me and my family are really grateful for all five of these folk for making us welcome here.”
