“This is the best shoe shopping experience I’ve had in years. They have great foot measuring equipment to fit your feet properly. Tim was extremely helpful. I was able to try them out at home as I have some foot issues. I came back to get a wider shoe. The return was quick, easy and Lilly and Laurie were great in helping me try a wider shoe. They seriously care about your comfort. Thank you!!”
“I've been all over the country and I still haven't found a run shop with a better selection of shoes, gear, and nutrition, plus they really know their stuff and have always been super helpful. I've discovered many a new shoe here.”
“I have been coming to this store for many years for the warm, friendly and very helpful service, as well as the consistently great shoe and clothing selections. I never walk out with empty hands.”
“A lovely boutique store with so much character. The goods are all extremely well curated and the Leolo goods specifically are so well made. The owner is very helpful and very kind. They even employ a Ukrainian refugee to help made some products. I'll be back to take one of their leather classes.”
“I made my first visit to Market Street Shoes yesterday, and I will absolutely be a repeat customer! I felt welcomed and attended to as soon as I walked in. I was surprised and excited to see that the shop also had a wonderfully curated clothing selection! I wear a US women’s 12-14; often, small shops like Market Street Shoes won’t have options for me. There ended up being plenty of colorful, fun garments for me to try on!When Kelsey saw I had my hands full of clothes, she was quick to start a dressing room while I kept browsing. After I’d been in the room for about 5-7 minutes, Danelle came over and asked how I was doing. I was trying on a dress that made me feel so beautiful. When I showed Danelle what I was trying on, she gave me a big smile and said, ‘I can tell you something looks great, but it really matters how you feel in it, and I can tell you feel really good. It looks made for you.’ When I was finished with clothes, a third shop attendant (who’s name I didn’t get, but she was wearing a wonderful 80s-inspired neon-punk jacket and awesome red triangle earrings) offered to keep the dress behind the counter while I kept shopping.Danelle continued to help me as I started to look at shoes. She was knowledgeable, kind, and gave me great options for the footwear needs I communicated with her! She also helped me figure out that, lo and behold, the reason I’ve been having foot pain is because I’ve been wearing the wrong shoe size! I have a wide toe box and have been compensating for that by sizing up at shoe stores. Danelle heat-widened a pair of adorable leather orange sandals for me. She was super quick when grabbing my size options from the back, and communicated with her team when the LAST pair of a shoe in my size was playing hard to get in the stockroom. It was great to see the team members supporting each other when the shop had a steady amount of traffic soon after opening!I ended up getting three new pairs of shoes. I started breaking in a pair yesterday, and my feet are already feeling so much happier! When checking out, Danelle made sure to get my basic info to start tracking by purchase history. She also let me know that after getting 12 full-price items, I get 25% off! After chatting with me at the counter while bagging my shoes and tissue-paper-wrapped dress, Danelle gave me a very warm farewell.I likely would’ve been a repeat customer because of the clothes and shoes, but I will DEFINITELY be returning because of the wonderful experience I had with Danelle and the rest of the Market Street Shoes staff. A big thank you to the whole team for the obvious care that is put in to every aspect of the shop. Cheers!”
“So welcoming !! Made me feel so seen and so interested in my style !! Highly recommend to come not only for high quality clothes but also an experience. Shout out to Mary!!”
“Absolutely fantastic customer service.
I bought a pair of boots online and Lauren went above and beyond to promptly provide me with lots of helpful info and advice, both by email and over the phone, often outside of normal business hours. She helped me with questions about everything from product to sizing to shipping, she took photos of stuff in the store, she followed up with UPS to help me navigate a change of delivery address, and when my package arrived it even came with a personalized thank you note. I'm not sure I've ever dealt with a shop that provided more attentive and detailed service. 11/10.”
“They were cool l and stayed late to go through a large sale of stuff I had, I was skeptical because I had a lot of my pieces of my wardrobe that I spent a lot on but I needed some cash on the spot . They made me such a good deal and we’re cool about it too no pressure, no awkwardness about things they didn’t want I felt super comfortable and like I was given a great deal for my stuff. They had some amazing pieces as well it was really hard to not walk outa there with some gear. I’m definitely gonna be adding them to my list of go to places for gear. Thanks guys????”
“Probably my favorite pair of shoes I’ve ever owned. The staff treated me and my partner like royalty. Now granted this was a few years ago, but now that I’m back in Seattle I’m looking forward to seeing what they have now.”

“I can count on Woolly Mammoth to have the kind of high quality and comfortable shoes that I look for. Even better that I can look through their current selection online and see if they have something that might work for my specific needs. Yesterday I went in hoping to find a certain model and size of Dansko shoe. The clerk was immediately helpful and found what I was looking for. She watched carefully when I tried on the pair of shoes (strap at heel) and demonstrated expertise and knowledge of the shoes by her observations of how they fit. There was no high pressure sales pitches, just careful attention and feedback. When I choose shoes there, I’m never disappointed. You pay for what you get and you can be confident their products are worth it. I highly recommend Woolly Mammoth as one of the best enduring Seattle shoe stores.”
“I made an online purchase which I had to return the item since I wasn't comfortable with the fit and got a full refund the same day they received the item. I sent several emails and the correspondence with Mr. Eames was very friendly and prompt. The customer service was outstanding and one of the best experiences I've had from any business!”
“I thought this place was pretty cool. They have a lot of boards along with clothes, shoes, and hats. It’s a very simple store. We didn’t stay long but staff was nice.”
“Knowledgeable, friendly, with a selection of custom-made styles, and with that unexcelled Alden quality to boot. If you actually want quality men's shoes, why would you go anywhere else?”
“What can you say about the feeling of coming home after 5 years! I purchased 2 Mephisto sandals here in 2017 and let’s just say that I wore them to their death! On this trip to Seattle for a cruise, I made sure there was time for another round of Mephisto sandals! Three sandals later I’m a happy lady! Michael is the perfect person representing Mephisto! He’s charismatic, personable, but most importantly knowledgeable in his trade. My sandals will be shipped home without any charges! That way my luggage weight is not compromised any more than it already is!! What a pleasure meeting Michael.”

“In the spring Erik helped us figure out sizing and made the whole process straightforward. Great to talk to, and made understanding the foreign sizing stuff easy”
“This review is to highlight the service David provided. He truly wanted us to be satisfied with our decision when we walked through the door. We tried at least 6 shoes. Thank you for your patience and knowledge! Brooks is lucky to have David on their team.”

“I was so tired of picking out shoes for my kid, and having him reject them after a couple wears—even when we tried them on in the big box stores! An employee at this shop was so helpful in walking my neurodivergent kid through all his options, and answered his questions and also pointed out what was on sale. We found a great pair and he loves them, even calls them his lucky sandals. 100% will shop here for my kids footwear from now on.”
“Taz took great care of us during our most recent visit. She expertly walked my wife through some “shoe secrets” to enhance her comfort (not to suggest Allbirds aren’t already exceedingly comfortable) and with that increased our “ring” at the till. My Tree Pipers are incredibly comfortable and stylish and my wife’s Tree Breezers are beautiful! All in all it is an excellent location with great sales staff. All of the products are represented and there is no “hard selling”. We have numerous pairs of shoes as well as hats, clothing & socks! Great products, great store, exceptional staff! And thanks Markis for the nice followup email thanking us for our business! Well done.”
“This is on my way to work, and I stopped by because recently, I had developed pain walking to work on concrete pavement. Mike was awesome on analyzing the impact on my current insole, looking at my current shoes and how I stood, to make a recommendation which I hope will deliver results for the long term. He gave me a 15% discount and offered to tweak the insole in a week if needed. Ah, mom-n-pop stores!”

“I first heard about this boutique a year ago because they had in stock a pair of StillHere jeans that were sold out online everywhere and randomly came across this store. I called in and made a purchase online (over the phone) and they had it shipped to me since I am from another state. The sales person was so kind over the phone and helped me figure out what size to get and it made it to my house extremely quickly.
Recently, I was in Seattle visiting and remembered this store so I decided to stop in, and was blown away by how great this little shop is. They had a huge selection of brands that I normally shop and love. The sales people were all so amazing asking me if I needed help with sizing and styling. I wasn’t planning on buying anything since my luggage was full but I ended up buying things anyway because of how great everyone was. I will definitely continue to buy and shop from here, I wish it was in my state!”
“What delightful women work here! They're very helpful, very kind, and very informative. This place is such a gem. An extremely sustainable business, and the kind of one where there are multiple sizes of the same piece of vintage or second hand clothing.”

“Not understanding the low Yelp score here. This boutique has cute shoes and gorgeous pieces of clothing from Europe. Of all the boutiques I checked out in Seattle this was far and away my favorite. The service was excellent and prices were fair. If you want non seattle clothing this is the place. If you want Patagonia or Columbia style outfits don't shop here.”

“I called the Danner store to check the availability of a style and size of boot and got an informative and polite response. They had the style I was lseeking and the salesman made me aware of a 10% discount I was eligible for . The boots look great and are as comfortable as I hoped they’d be. It was easy to make the decision to get them and be on my way thanks to their stock and smooth customer service.”
“This store was well stocked for the boots we came looking for plus many others that I wanted. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about how to fit, take care of, and what was needed for the proper wearing of our new boots. Looking forward to returning to buy more boots/ shoes from them.”
“Friendly and knowledgeable staff made my experience wonderful. The fitting process was quick and left me feeling confident in my purchase. Definitely recommend visiting. I live an hour away and will be returning for future purchases!”
