Point Defiance Park is a beautiful and amazing urban oasis, a gorgeous park with spectacular, well-manicured grounds and lots of natural beauty. It is a wonderful place for taking photos and enjoying pretty, green and mossy scenery. The park includes multiple, fairly long forest trails that are well-maintained and enjoyable for a long walk or a short one. The area also features gardens with blooming cherry blossoms and roses, historic buildings, a pagoda, a water well, little bridges, a pond, wildlife, and beaches by the saltwater. It is a fantastic and peaceful place to visit, combining this natural beauty with a feeling of safety. The park is clean, with friendly and eager staff. Visitors can rent razor scooters to cover a lot of ground. It is recommended to download a trail map, as it is easy to get lost and end up doing more trails and loops than expected. There are plenty of shaded spots for a respite on sunny days. Parking can be horrible on weekends, but the park itself is an overall great area to wander around.
