“I’ve been coming to the Vashon Athletic Club since the 90’s. And although I currently don’t live on Vashon, every time I come back for a visit there is something else that has been upgraded in the club. The facilities are very versatile and no matter what type of workout you’re looking for, the VAC probably has the space and equipment for you. The indoor pool area (with hot tub and cold plunge), surrounded by trees, is serene. Nick and Sarah are amazing owners and I’m grateful for everything they’ve done with the club!!”

“I dropped in while visiting the Seattle and had a great experience. From the moment I walked in, everyone was welcoming and friendly. Coach Tate did an excellent job explaining the workout and creating a fun environment.
If you're traveling and looking for a place to train, I highly recommend stopping by. I'll definitely drop in again if I'm back in the area!”
“I can't say enough good things about barre3 West Seattle. The staff and instructors are always friendly and kind. I am fairly new to barre3 and will probably wind up joining this studio.
The front desk staff is always nice, the instructors always greet me and check in with me after class, and it feels like a genuine community. The customer service is top notch. The classes can be tough, but I love them. My body is adapting well. I feel like I get a good workout, and the music is great.
I will add that as an LGBTQ+ individual, I feel very included here. I look around the studio and see a diverse array of women of all identities, and I love it. It is one of the things that keeps me coming back. I highly recommend barre3 West Seattle!”
“I was in Seattle for the summer and spent a month attending classes at CrossFit West Seattle. I had an excellent experience overall! The staff was knowledge and both they and the members were friendly and supportive. I loved the mix of intense workouts and a focus on technique and form. I would definitely recommend this gym!”

“Best community ever. Low barrier—accessibility, cost, all of it. This is gym is for people who love working out and for people like me, who do not love working out. I’m so much stronger, have more endurance, and feel healthier and more capable since beginning the boot camp program at 777. I like it so much I’ve repeated the 6-week series 8 times consecutively! The breaks in between boot camps are nice and help me sustain this ongoing practice of committing more to physical fitness. Love the coaches. Love showing up (and I’ve never said that about a gym before). Everyone is so kind and nonjudgmental. I feel so supported. Can’t recommend 777 enough.”

“The staff and community at LOFT Fitness has exceeded my wildest expectations- and then some. I have lived around the corner for years and only recently joined- I had no idea what a special place this is.
First, this is a place for EVERYBODY that wants to show up, move their body, get stronger physically and mentally, and be supported by others in ways I've never experienced at a gym before. There are all ages, all genders, all body types and sizes- it's inspiring and amazing.
Second, I feel the best I've felt in years. The variety in training, including alternatives if something doesn't feel right for my body, keep me interested and challenged in the best ways.
Lastly, the community vibe is real. Nearly ever class I've attended someone's gone out of their way to help me and encourage me.
Thank you Bethany, Ari, and Mallory for creating such an amazing place to come together, move, feel better, and be reminded how important community is in our lives. I'm so grateful to you and all your staff!”

“Loved my time at this gym! The coaches are great, and I loved the community that they build at this gym. I’ll definitely be back for a workout when I’m in the area again!”
“I’ve started and stopped my fitness journey more times than I can count. I would join a gym, feel motivated for a few weeks, then slowly fall off and feel discouraged all over again. That cycle went on for years.
FreeStar Fitness in Federal Way is the first place I’ve stayed consistent for over a year and a half!
The biggest difference is the structure and the environment. The classes are programmed for you, so you don’t walk in guessing what to do. The coaches are hands-on, they correct your form, track your progress, and genuinely care about your growth. The small group training gives you accountability without feeling overwhelming or intimidating.
Since being here, I’ve gotten noticeably stronger, built muscle, improved my endurance, and most importantly, built consistency. I feel more confident in my body and in the gym. What used to feel like a temporary phase now feels like a lifestyle I can actually maintain.
The community is supportive and motivating. Everyone is there to improve, and that energy keeps you coming back even on the days motivation is low. If you’ve struggled with consistency like I have and you’re searching for a gym in Federal Way that helps you stay committed long term, FreeStar Fitness truly makes a difference!!”

“206 South has continued to provide a safe workout space / community for me since 2019. If you’re looking for a gym that strives for inclusivity, strives to make a better YOU, and takes the time to get to know you on a personal level then a standard commercial gym that only checks on you for their own profit then this is the gym for you! The coaching staff at this gym are phenomenal people and show what it means to be the heart of White Center!! So don’t look any further sign up for a class now! :)”

“Pros: The curves workout is easy and done in 30 minutes. I really like how the weight machines are hydraulic and you customize the resistance. The coach staff are really friendly and supportive. Cons: The hours of operation are limited right now until they get new members and there is only one type of workout available. That said, it's great for those looking for low impact or beginners, or those that just want a straightforward all female gym and workout routine.”
“I occasionally stop in here when I’m in town for work. I really enjoy this anytime fitness. It has a variety of equipment that my normal Anytime fitness doesn’t have. But also, it has a lot of space as well. Lots of free weights and weight racks. I do like the studio for stretching. Definitely recommend!”
“Amazing old school gym with Harold around the whole time to develop a personalized routine, recommend changes that truly benefit your goals and encourage you! This is unlike any community gym I’ve been to and is very helpful for someone who has no idea what they’re doing (or total body building experts!) and wants to be challenged. Harold is extremely community oriented and always makes a point of introducing other members to you, from loyal members who have been with him for decades to those who maybe recently joined. I love that aging is viewed as an opportunity to stay strong or get stronger!”

“Loss of a star for terrible acoustics in the room that make it SO hard to hear the instructor. However I will put up with that to take Brett's classes. She is warm, inviting, and motivates the class in a manner that promotes autonomy and empowerment. She is relatable and irreverent. My individual needs are tracked and accommodated. Brett possesses a unique mix of technical knowhow, personality, and social awareness that keeps us coming back. No wonder she has such a following!”

“It's always nerve wracking to try out a new gym, new community, and new ways of moving. Am I actually going to get stronger? Will I know what's going on? Do they actually know what they're doing? Am I going to get injured? I visited better. gym from out of town and dang, I'm so sad I can't be part of this amazing community all the time. They've cultivated an incredible atmosphere, both welcoming and challenging. Susan cares so deeply about form, fun, and effort. You're gonna work and have an amazing time doing it. I can't recommend better. enough. Whatever your trepidations are, just show up, and know you'll be in experienced, knowledgeable, and motivating hands.”

“I came to Crossfit GH nearly 10 years ago as an athlete without direction. It was my first year competing in the professional ranks as a Downhill Mountain biker and I was training like a total amateur. I reached out to David explaining my goals as an athlete and the sport-specific training needs that came with the rigors of Mountain Biking. He accepted me into his gym with open arms and accelerated my training beyond anything I had experienced. Breaking the mold was hard, but I soon learned accountability through my attendance and was given the mental strength needed for the challenging hurdles of my sport.Soon my results started to speak for the training as I secured podium finishes and solidified sponsorships that have lasted year after year. Since then I have not only found my place as a professional athlete, but have been given the leadership tools to start my own team and give back to riders who are starting their professional careers. I now manage 3 elite level riders under what is now one of the top Downhill programs in the Country. Success that I truly believe stemmed from my first meeting with David a decade ago.David has been more than just a coach to me. He is one of my greatest mentors and a dear friend. The care that he puts into training all of his athletes is unquestioned. He is truly there to guide us not only in the gym but in life. If you are looking for a home to test yourself mentally and physically all while building lasting relationships with like minded athletes, look no further. Crossfit GH is one of a kind.- Matt Orlando”

“I LOVE Orangetheory! I’ve taken classes since 2019 in my hometown studio. When I moved to Seattle, I decided to join again up here. West Seattle studio is the best. The staff is incredible and I love the coaches. Coach Mori and Coach Jess are my usual coaches. They are the best! I love their classes! So if you live in West Seattle and are thinking of joining Orangetheory, do it! So worth it!”

“I’ve been going to this gym for years and it’s definitely my favorite yet. It’s small but it has everything I need. I like that it’s not just a square box and there’s different sections to work out in without a million people around. Also the staff and trainers are always friendly. They've done a lot to improve the look of the gym and always replace equipment before it gets crusty. More expensive than other gyms but worth it in my opinion! If I were to improve anything I would want to add a massage chair:p”
