I don't know exactly what these guys did to my car, but I took it in for a simple coolant leak, and it drives better now than it did when I bought it; the steering works better, the transmission doesn't stutter anymore, and the heater/AC panel functions now, where it didn't function at all when I got it. “I brought my GFs 04 S2000 in to fix a clearcoat issue from a previous bad job, body/paint work on the rear bumper and to replace my exhaust tip that got damaged. I called before showing up, as many autobody shops may not be able to give day of estimates. Kevin said to swing by and he'd take a look. He was able to give and commit to an estimate on the spot that was more than fair price.But here's why they get a 5 star rating... (Keep in mind I know nothing about body work) I inquired about touching up the hood rock chips. Rather than quote it and take my money, Kevin took the time to explain that unless I do the other fender the paint could potentially not match. This was the point that I was pretty sure I'd come to the right place. Other employees loved the car, and talked to me about it while I was there. Picked it up today and it looks brand new.Great work Kevin and the rest of the team! Thank you!”

“I'm from Chicago, but living in Washington for work. I knew my car needed an oil change and went in the morning not knowing what to expect. They helped me get to know it's a nice first come first serve for oil changes and got my car in. I am happy with the service and all. I wish I could have gotten their names but this one worker helped with me when I had to go back to ask a very dumb car question (now that I look back at it) but got it all figured out. Along with my water bottle I had totally forgotten about! Thanks so much for not making me feel like a total dummy but if I'm still in town will return!”

“Fantastic experience overall. Got oil change, 2 headlights replaced, wiper replaced and all done in less then 25 mins. Incredibly great low prices and the staff were more then friendly (which I hugely appreciate). RECOMMEND HIGHLYOnly minor issue is when the air filters were put back in, it caused a small whistling noise but nothing too bad.”

“We were headed on our way back home to Vancouver, Canada after a weekend in Seattle, when all of a sudden our car wouldn’t turn on at our hotel. After a jump start, we were finally able to get on the road, but our check engine lights were going off and to our surprise we also noticed our gas had been siphoned from our car, while it was parked at the hotel for the weekend. In complete shock and utter panic, we found Grease Monkey online which was the only mechanic shop open in the Seattle area on a Sunday. As two young females traveling from Canada, with zero knowledge about cars, we were very anxious about going to a mechanic shop in a city/country that we’d never been to. The second we got to the shop, we were met with such kindness, patience and felt beyond safe and comfortable throughout the entire experience. We simply cannot rave enough about this place - these guys were absolutely incredible! We recieved efficient and seamless service. Without these guys, we aren’t sure we would have made it back home and honestly don’t know what we would have done without them. This place is an absolute gem - thank you guys for fixing up our car and helping us get back home safe!”

“Nielson is one of those places that feels like a true small business that has a heart. My roommate's Kia lost its radiator when the water pump belt snapped on the freeway. I fixed the belt but didn't have time to do the radiator. To save money, we ordered the parts ourselves. When another mechanic fell through, we called around looking for a shop. Some places simply wouldn't give the time of day, others wouldn't install customer supplied parts, others just simply were too busy to get the vehicle serviced in a timely manner. Nielson got us in the next day, gave us the lowest quote of any place we called, and then bent over backwards to be accommodating when we picked up the vehicle. I will be bringing my personal vehicle in here and am grateful to have found a quality shop with good people on the east side!”

However, they sent me to the Woodinville outlet where they have an actual mechanic. I can't say enough nice things about Riley. He went through a thorough diagnostic process, explaining to me what he was doing. He diagnosed the problem, had the part the next morning and promptly fixed it.I know a bit about car repairs and his fund of knowledge is exceptional. He is very pleasant to work with.
