“I am giving this a 4 Star because, on a few occasions, there were vegetables that were not their best. On this day on 9/24/2023, I picked up red potatoes and I noticed a bad odor. I realized that it was the red potatoes. Because the cashier was busy, I put the potatoes at the next register. When I was waiting on the cashier named Zach showed his gratitude for what I did. What impressed me was that Zach was the first cashier who was kind, greeted me, and was very polite. I only come to this store when I really have to because of the food quality and the cashier's are not that friendly. So thank you Zach for giving me a different experience and being professional.”

“Decent store and always organized compared to the other dg’s in the area but they should check dates on food and candy. I just bought a bag of dark chocolate Reese peanut butter cups that expired 12/2021. It was only a dollar so not worth taking back.”

“My family's go to place for local, fresh produce. Great location, large selection of vegetable, milk (goat, cow), eggs (chicken, duck, quail), cheese (goat, cow). Bread, meat... even gifts! Can't find what you need? Let the staff know and they'll seriously look into getting it into their store. They take SNAP. All in a all, a wonderful resource for both local producers and consumers!”

“Love the wine selection in this market, the steamed shrimp are always a delicious treat! Highly recommend the fried chicken as well it's delicious and they never disappoint. I do recommend you order ahead if it's during busy times like football season.”

“Really great Martin's. I like the layout; everything is clean and well organized. The parking lot is not at all my favorite though, really is the only weak point of the place. I had no issues while there at all. If you keep to the sales you can save more money here than at other place down the road.”

“When I saw there were no reviews... I had to make one. This is a wonderful corner store whether it be popcorn, beer, sugar, peanut butter.... they never let me down when I have a craving or am missing an ingredient for a meal. The owner's daughter (assuming) is very personable and really is the heart of this wonderful operation. This is my morning/eve stop when I pull in the neighborhood and need to fill up my gas tank. I live in the development behind the store and I don't mind paying a few bucks more for the convenience and hospitality.”

“A little bit over priced but the rewards card is nice to build up points for gas, and if you order online points can be used for money off your order. Employees are more friendly than some other grocery stores in the area. The store is clean and the produce is fresh with lots of options and variety. They also have low salt Pringles, which Walmart does not.”

“overall, my experience at Walmart has been subpar. Until I ran into the cashier named Jose. He told me that he recently began work and clearly he deserves a raise -- his hospitalities of the level of Chick fil A, and it makes everyone else employed there look like a 2-star he is so compassionate. Before I realized he told me my bag was ripping. He assisted me when I double scanned. He told me insightful information about checkout. If everyone at Walmart could be like him, then I think the West Virginia, America, and maybe even the entire world would be a better place as a result”

“Had most of what we wanted. Clean store. Expanding again, so hopefully the selection will continue to get bigger. Check out process was quick and easy with the app. Walmart plus is great, especially in areas with in home service. Half off deal can't be added to your account though.”

“We stopped here on the way home from an afternoon at a nearby winery. The store was recommended by a friend of ours that had just spent the day with us. Sadly our first stop in the shopping plaza was closed. It is a bagel shop that was closed around 4 pm on Sunday. Can you believe it? We came to Walmart to get soda water & a sweet snack. Plus the kids wanted to look around the toy department. After all it will be Christmas sooner than you think! Near the front of the store was a seasonal favorite. They had peanut oil in very large containers for the deep fryers to cook your Thanksgiving turkey! There's also a Claire's store by the grocery entrance for all your earring needs. We finished our visit at the store here. There were clearance items on sale. The grocery department is a decent size. It goes from the front to the back along the right wall. My daughter was craving a bit of ice cream. We could not find any of the DC area specialty brands like Jeni's at Walmart but they had Ben & Jerry's for a good price. while my daughter was picking a flavor out I took my 2 grandchildren and their friends to the toy area. They had a really nice variety of Lego kits here. My grandson loves building them. My granddaughter loves to play with unicorns. She saw so many fun and cute ones here. My daughter walked over eating a pint of the Jimmy Fallon flavored Ben & Jerry's ice cream. We shared it until it was all gone! We were both making Christmas list notes as the kids looked around. “This food lion is a bit dated and has a very small produce section as well as some odd layout choices. Overall in Charles Town area I'd probably choose to shop at another grocery unless this was quicker. But the staff is friendly and helpful and the store is clean no complaints about the products the do have just a bit dated and smallish.”
