Elite Pets
CharlestonWe’re big fans of Melinda and Elite Pet. We started with one-off classes that are great for beginners. She teaches you how to interact with your dog and coach behaviors, which can be the most important part. Now we’re doing day academy and working through grade-level curriculum. She does a great job of working with your dog’s individual needs. Chewie always get excited about going even though he has to (stubbornly) work for treats.

Pet Grooming
Patty's Precious Poodles
736 Mile Fork Rd, CharlestonWe love going here!!!!! The owner Patty is a great friend, groomer, and knows how to take care animals ❤️ we have been taking our animals here for over 12 years. She was amazing, caring, and compassionate when our last dog passed away as she had been grooming him since he was a 12wk old pup. When you can relate with your groomer and you know that they are good at what they do, you tell others about it. I would 100% recommend PPPoodles to anyone looking for a groomer that knows what she is doing ?

Pet Care
Kanawha Boulevard Animal Hospital
2636 Kanawha Blvd E, CharlestonMy dog needed dental surgery. The vet here was non judgmental about what I was able to afford and made helpful suggestions. There was no guilt tripping "Don't you want the best for your dog?" type nonsense. She also worked to get my pup in quickly. I will return to this vet for my dog and cat needs for as long as I'm in the area.

Valley West Veterinary Hospital
301 Virginia St W, CharlestonI was highly recommended to Valley West Vet Hospital when I got my new 8wk old kitten. I loved that they gave me so much information on kittens. They were very loving towards my kitty Shiloh, thank you Valley West Staff. Dr. Keith was so helpful and compassionate with my Shiloh. Thank you girls today that shaved Shiloh from her kitty episode, you girls are awesome.

KITA MODERN JAPANESE
2815 Mountaineer Blvd, CharlestonVery clean, nice atmosphere. Staff was professional and well dressed. Ordered 2 types of sushi, and shrimp and steak hibachi. Overall good meal. It was hard to figure out what type of sushi to get, they have their own specific recipes that are different enough from typical recipes that it was hard to know what to get. The salad was okay, except for the water in the bottom of the bowl? It was odd and diluted the delicious ginger dressing. Overall though, the meal was good. Fried rice was delicious, hibachi was well prepared.

Other
Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association
1248 Greenbrier St, CharlestonTracey was so helpful and very kind. She helped us adopt a kitten and gave us so much advice. She listened to what we had to say and truly went above and beyond for us. I am very thankful for her working there and she is definitely the reason we will continue to make the drive to adopt from this animal shelter. Could not recommend this place or Tracey more!! Go see all their animals and ask to speak with Tracey!
