“I always love shopping at Weis stores. This was my first time in this particular one and I was very happy with my experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful.”
“We loved it here! It had a country/hippie cozy charm to it. Food was amazing. Small menu but each food choice seemed very well thought out and packed with flavor. We got the lamb meatball salad and shrimp and grits and my husband practically licked his plate clean. My dtr has celiac so we were going to get the shrimp linguine but they were out of Zucchini noodles. She was able to get a salad option instead. Will definitely dine here again. Our Server Tom went over and beyond!”
“It's like a Farmers Market/Orhanic Grocery Store! They have big bottles of kombucha here if you like Kombucha! They sell meats and fresh veggies! There's also a deli on the left inside didn't get to try. Lots of different hot sauces I never saw before. Also had Sea Moss drinks which I never came across before. Highly recommended checking them out because they carry a lot of different and unique products!”
“I am new in the area and have shopped at most of the main grocery stores. I went to this Fodd Lion store today and was pleased with what I experienced. Spacious, clean, tidy, good selection of products , competitive pricing and friendly staff. I most surely will be back.”
“I enjoy their products including a decent beer/wine selection. My grocery is far cheaper when I shop here. Mostly clean — self checkouts could use some regular cleaning but that’s everywhere.”
“This store has just about anything a country store would need. The only thing they don't do is cook food which the employee said they were getting their permits to do. They sell everything from bait, knives to propane and milk. They even sell flowers and wine for Valentine's day. The prices aren't crazy either. This is that great place when it's late, you don't want to drive into town but need those few items.”
“We had two vegan sandwiches Ciabatta BBQ Tempeh and Jaz's Sandwich. Both were tasty. The ciabatta bread was surprisingly soft and fresh. It's easy to find sides for your meal browsing around the grocery aisles. Many chips, crackers, vegan meats/cheeses, desserts like ice cream, candy and so on. There's a single small bench outside the front door that can only seat two.”
“Had lunch there today, awesome litte hole in the wall corner store. Great homemade sandwiches, the pastrami is delicious! Reminds me of a store in the Andy Griffith Show or something ?”
“A restaurant supplier who breaks things down so you don't have to buy monster sizes. Another perk, most suppliers I've visited you have to know exactly what you want as it isn't a grocery store where you can browse. While the store is not particularly big it does allow you to physically walk the store and shop. You won't be able to get all your weekly shopping done here but it does offer good/great prices and access to mostly restaurant quality foods with a focus on but not limited to steaks/seafood/soups/pies. Personally, I think it is a great suppliment for the average consumers grocery.”
“I live in Europe. This store offers a superb variety of spices, food from around the world. The melons, pasteks, corn on the cob were delicious!!
Everything at a reasonable price because I find that the big brands like Martins, Weiss, etc. have become too expensive... otherwise the food is overpriced in the USA ?”
“Nice organized little grocery store with most of what you need. The staff are kind and the deli/bakery has some good stuff to go check out. They even have an area for reduced priced items and almost always have some sort of sale going on. Great deals at this store location.”
“Visited this store while in town from the mid west. The store was mostly clean, had mostly all we needed, the only complaint is the doors were closed on one side of the store but no signs advising customers. We went inside and noticed there was a sign (inside) posted those doors were closed… about 50 feet from the doors.”

“Great little all-around store with fresh fruit and produce that we picked up while traveling. convenient location, not too far off the main road. Plenty of free parking”
“This is a small country store with different types of items. Small deli inside, freshly made as you order. I make it a point to stop in for inexpensive items and items I can't get in Leesburg.”
“Love the wine selection in this market, the steamed shrimp are always a delicious treat! Highly recommend the fried chicken as well it's delicious and they never disappoint. I do recommend you order ahead if it's during busy times like football season.”
“This store is defiantly less cluttered and cleaner than the bunker hill or north Queen stores. But it still has its days. Thus may be a corporate problem I don't think there are enough staffers it seems there always short handed and workers are stocking shelves between customers. Over all the Pikeside plaza Dollar General store is my favorite out of the ones in my area.”
“This is a great store over all, but if you need anything from behind the checkout counter, depending on the shift and who's working you could be waiting a good while. They strongly rely on self check out and often have to be found to come help up front.”
“When I saw there were no reviews... I had to make one. This is a wonderful corner store whether it be popcorn, beer, sugar, peanut butter.... they never let me down when I have a craving or am missing an ingredient for a meal. The owner's daughter (assuming) is very personable and really is the heart of this wonderful operation. This is my morning/eve stop when I pull in the neighborhood and need to fill up my gas tank. I live in the development behind the store and I don't mind paying a few bucks more for the convenience and hospitality.”
“I know the employees here don't get the recognition they should. But as often as my family and I visit this location there are a few employees tend to always be there working hard with a smile and a pleasant attitude. I would suggest management to truly recognize their efforts and award them so. Sammy and Shawn , thank you. We appreciate your efforts and hard work. Best Dollar General in the area. And there is like 8.”
“7/25: Walmart in Charles Town, WV supported The Bolivar Harpers Ferry Public Library's Summer Reading Program with a generous donation. Thank you for supporting reading in our community!”
“A little bit over priced but the rewards card is nice to build up points for gas, and if you order online points can be used for money off your order. Employees are more friendly than some other grocery stores in the area. The store is clean and the produce is fresh with lots of options and variety. They also have low salt Pringles, which Walmart does not.”
“It is a great store if you want to get something quick. It is understaffed, but they do their best to keep the store clean and safe. I personally find it easier to get into compared to other stores of similar sizes. It is far from most other stores which makes it great if you are just passing by and want a quick snack or need something specific.”
“I almost always have a good experience at the CT WM pharmacy. My Rx's are always in stock. The wait isn't usually too bad, though sometimes I feel like they could open up a third register during very busy times, and they're not always quick to come forward from the back area. I enjoy the quirky personalities of the techs and cashiers. A lot of them are humorous and kinda dry, which I appreciate. But they're always efficient and respectful with customers. I imagine they deal w/ a lot of pissy people on a daily basis, so, unlike other reviewers, I dont expect them to always be upbeat--I just expect them to be humanly polite. They've always gone out of their way to help me with issues and snags w/ insurance, etc. Ya get whatcha give.”
“Carlina was OUTSTANDING! Madison was quite the pleasant cashier and was very helpful in returning an item some of the other Dollar generals should follow her example”
“This is my go-to pharmacy and grocer. The pharmacy staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. If they’re out of a particular medicine, they can get it within a day or two. You can refill via phone and app, set up automatic refills, and receive text notifications when prescriptions are ready.”
