“Fresh Thyme is a great place to shop for specific things. Most of their selection is SUPER OVERPRICED! I'm vegan, so it can be really hard to find specific things I can actually eat. And they do have some staple items that I have a super hard time finding. Also, the items they do have don't have all the fillers that most companies put in their products. So, if you're looking for a great deal, shop elsewhere. But if you can't find something you've been looking all over for, chances are, Fresh Thyme has it. Also...you gotta love the name! “Excellent variety of product and often times has new products or flavors out. Prices are pretty comparable to shopping at Walmart, just with better product, nicer staff and cleaner store. The people who collect the carts are attentive and polite. Self check people pay attention and are friendly. Stockers know where the product is and seem to do a good job rotating the product/correctly stocking. But...the big carts are too bulky and tall to use comfortably. Some sections of the store have a brick like flooring that shakes and rattles everything in your cart and your arms and, the most annoying, self checks with the belt are constantly going down and the newest upgrade severely slows down my check out speed - regularly have to put an item back on the belt after it's been brought to the end! I get that there's a scale but if i set an item down and the belt moves, it shouldn't need to be weighed again. I might start to ignore the item limitations on the self checks, if they are empty, just so I don't have to spend more than twice the time of other registers to check out.”

The pharmacy is also the best I have found in the area, and as a chronically ill human, I can testify that they do exceptionally well compared to most. “I love the cash and carry out! Wen your in a pinch and need quality in quantity there’s no place better! Plus your getting the same product as what the restaurants and bars are serving so you know what your getting! I’m a plain fried chicken wing lover and it’s hard to find anywhere that even has them on there menu without some kind of sauce and it’s expensive but now I just go to badger and get a cpl boxes that last myself and 3 kids 3-4 months and are a quick easy meal which the kids love any day any time! I’ve got a few different brands from wing ding to the Tyson and they all are amazing! Can’t wait to get back there Tuesday for a cpl cases of tuna steaks! My new favorite meat!!! The customer service is top notch and very knowledgeable with what they have and how it compares to other products as well! So much quicker than the grocery store, in and out and they do the heavy lifting of the product to your vehicle ?”

“Menards is always a very solid choice if you need anything for the house or hardware related items. Think of it like a combination of Walmart and Home Depot. They always have very good 11% rebates available. You just have to do a little bit of work with the rebate process by grabbing coupons and receipt receipts and submitting them. The people and staff are very friendly and helpful with any questions you may have.”

The Cincinnati-based supermarket giant will open about 110 new stores in fast-growing markets by 2029 and introduce three updated store formats, executives told investors Oct. 20 at the company’s Investor Update in New York. Kroger already runs about 2,700 stores in 35 states. The formats come in three sizes, a bit like small, medium and large, matched to each market. Mary Ellen Adcock, Kroger’s executive vice president and chief merchant and marketing officer, walked through the lineup.
Walmart shoppers want a head start on the holidays, and money explains a lot of it. Some 44% of respondents call affording the holidays their top stressor, and 61% say holiday costs shape their shopping mood. Asked what would make the season easier, 70% picked lower prices and 57% picked more deals and promotions. Convenience ranks lower: 30% want one-stop shopping across categories, and 20% want faster delivery.
Walmart wants your groceries at the door before the ice cream softens. On May 29, the retailer said its 30-minute-or-less delivery had reached 33 U.S. markets, adding a wave of new cities across the Northeast. Shoppers in those areas can order from more than 100,000 items, everything from fresh produce and baby formula to pet food, electronics, cold medicine, and prescriptions. Behind the scenes, the service leans on Walmart's store network and an algorithm that factors in order size, available drivers, and distance from the store.
Trader Joe's keeps adding stores, and shoppers keep showing up. The California grocer has marked nine more locations as "opening soon," pushing its expansion into new corners of the country. The grocer also took first place in the American Customer Satisfaction Index's 2026 supermarket rankings. It has held a spot near the top of that list for years.
Target is rolling out its most ambitious store overhaul in more than ten years, with plans to remodel over 130 locations and open 30 new stores across the country this year. The retailer is also putting money into supply chain technology upgrades to keep pace with how shoppers buy today.
