“Dr. Thelen is amazing. I first met her when I brought my cat Phat Boy to see her. He was 16 years old and he was sick. I wanted to make sure I made the right choices for him to have the best quality of life possible for the time he had left. She was so informative and kind. “I have a beautiful little cat that has an allergy to dust mites. My thought is she’s allergic to herself. ? She needs medication twice daily, and I was going to be gone for 21 days in the Mediterranean. My vet at North Shore Animal Hospital recommended Brentwood. I could not be more pleased with the love and care she was given. They sent me an email with a concern that she was not eating. They resolved the problem, and again emailed me to let me know.
I picked her up, and I have this little furry coat attached to me since I got home!!

“The only thing bad about this place is some of the pricing. $2300 to clean my cats teeth and perform a few extractions on infected teeth and $35.00 for a nail trim on my dog.
The vet that I see is very nice, she doesn't push unnecessary vaccines. and is understanding of my holistic approach to caring for my pets even though she's not a holistic vet.
Apparently they were busy in clinic today. I dropped my cat off for bloodwork at 7:30am and didn't get him back until 4pm. When I called for an update I sat on hold for 20 minutes. Ridiculous hold time!”
“We had a wonderful experience at the Wauwatosa Vet Clinic. Everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable. I definitely feel like my cats are getting the best care possible. “I have to say this is one of the best veterinary clinic that I’ve ever seen or been to and I will say the vets are amazing. It is expensive. But anything worth something good is in these guys are good.. although they’re cat clipping nails used to be courtesy it now cost you $30 so if you cut your cats clause, don’t wait till your appointment and do them yourself and save yourself some money and it’s cheaper if you use cash or your debit card otherwise, you get charged a fee for using the credit card. These are the best vets I’ve ever known and my kitty just absolutely is not stressed. He did well and I love the clinic. It’s amazing Best clinic out there.”
“We took our terrified and sick dog to Crawford Animal Hospital. Despite his belligerent attitude, the whole staff remained calm and compassionate. They explained his problem clearly and were specific about follow-up meds and care. We have come to Crawford Animal Hospital for about five years. “I love West allis Animal Hospital because the staff there are all wonderful, very kind, accommodating and knowledgeable.
They take the time to answer all your questions thoroughly.
I have been going there for years.
The only thing I would suggest is that people get pet insurance because the costs add up quickly, especially if you have two dogs., And you never know what might come up.
But I understand they also have to keep up with inflation.”

“I recently took my dog, Ginger, for her second lymes disease vaccination. Due to the appointment being strictly with the vet tech, I only had to pay for the vaccine. The vet tech actually gave Ginger the injection in the waiting room because there were no other clients/patients there at the time. Ginger didn't even notice that she received the injection. The vet tech gave her treats for being a good girl. The tech asked for permission to give Ginger treats before she did.”
“Nicky and Dr. Bob are angels. Nicky went above and beyond to provide me and our sweet Remy the support we needed, I could never thank her enough. Dr. Bob is the sweetest soul and I was grateful for the peace he brought during one of the most difficult days of our lives. The thought of bringing our baby to a scary place on his last day breaks my heart, and I am forever grate for the invaluable service they provide. This was such an awful day, but I wouldn't have had it any other way. Nicky and Dr. Bob were so compassionate and walked us through the whole process. We were at home, in our safe place, full of love, kisses, and tears.Nicky and Dr. Bob, thank you is not enough. We are truly grateful for you.?”
“Been coming here for years. We have had cats for many years, mostly female. Our last cat passed away several years ago, and the staff were incredibly kind when we had to make difficult end of life decisions. Any decision like that is hard, and they always showed respect, compassion, and genuine care.
We recently adopted a new cat, Stu. He was a stray, about a year old. Someone found him and thought he would be a good fit for us, and they were absolutely right.
Stu needed a full checkup and to be neutered. This was our first male cat, so some of this was new to us. The staff did a great job walking us through the process and explaining our options. We felt informed and comfortable every step of the way.
We were very happy with the outcome, and Stu is recovering nicely at home.”
“Vet tech and Dr Olsen were very kind and thorough. Listened to concerns and provided cost of options, ok with lesser intervention, and waiting on X-rays if symptoms don’t improve.”
“Dr. Sherer is fantastic! I highly recommend them. Cat care in general is not cheap, so don’t go in expecting to spend $100 one time and never worry about your cat again. Dr. Sherer went above and beyond to inform me everything about my cat’s teeth extraction and cleaning. They called in advance for optional procedures and outlined every step of the process. I’m very grateful for their expertise and they are well worth the money.”
“My mother and i extend our sincerest gratitude for how wonderful and kind the staff were towards our Misty. Dr. Amy is absolutely brilliant and was a great comfort when our girl passed. Because of her, we felt much more confident that we were doing the right thing for Misty.
She’s home with us now, in a beautiful box with her sweet paw prints alongside the lovely card we were sent. When we are ready to bring a new pet into our lives, we are absolutely coming here again.
This team really cares, they remember you, and look forward to seeing you and your pet, they are very intelligent, respectful, and mindful. The first thing Dr. Amy said when she saw us was that she missed us, that was so sweet to hear especially on such a hard day. The staff were so lovely, offering water and letting us take our time, i really liked that we paid in the room instead of in the waiting room cause my mom and i were a MESS (understandably so.)
Misty felt really comfortable and safe here.

“Our dog in the past has always seen Dr. Wertz who has been incredible. I would highly recommend him to others. Our recent visits were with Dr. Emily Weaver and Jena, have not been up to the usual standards. We never received a follow up call as stated regarding the next steps of care. Per Bluemound Animal Hospital they are experiencing a major staffing shortage which is causing longer hold times on the phone and an average of 15-30 minute wait for appointments. Hopefully their team is able to find new staff members to improve the client experience.”
“I had a great first appt today with Dr LaVetter and Anthony VA! They were very helpful, took the time to explain and gave me all my options. Before the end of the appointment, they let me know all fees up front so their were no surprises. They were very kind to my kitty too! I will come back!”
“We awoke to our (extremely) food aggressive 3 year old cat not eating. It was a Sunday morning, so I called what Google said was WVRC, but got Westown Vet Clinic instead. It was 8:30am, & Westown was able to make give us a 10:30am appointment, so I took it.
I was impressed with the staff- they took us to a room quickly, & everything was immaculately clean & well lit. The vet was running a bit late due to another cat emergency, & they apologized profusely.
The vet examined & diagnosed our cat. We really appreciated that he was able to fix our feline with an injection & some take home meds. He said that he could do an X ray & bloodwork, but didn’t think it was necessary at this point. We’re grateful that he didn’t oversell us on expensive add-ons. Even my husband thought that the bill was reasonable.
I’ve also had great experiences at WVRC (esp on the weekends), & in the future for urgent (non-emergency) services, I’d make an appointment with Westown Vet Clinic, as they were able to offer me an appointment time, as opposed to just triaging every patient that arrived.”
“We switched our pets over to Layton Animal Hospital and will never turn back. We were quoted an outrageous price, with a wrong diagnosis at another vet for dental cleanings on our two dogs. At Layton they are honest and sweet and truly care about your pets.”

“I trust HCVC. I recently adopted a rescue who came from a shelter using a vet who cleared her for adoption while she had serious health issues that were evident with a cursory glance. Dr. Dzika and his assistant (Imani?) were so caring and thorough. Dr. Dzika explained what her needs would be and how I can best meet them for her. He cleaned out her ears for me (I had no idea they'd been so neglected, as well); and provided immediate relief for her while teaching me the proper way to keep them clear. He prepared me for what we'd be facing for her much needed dental treatment, patiently answered every question I had and assured me that we're welcome to come in, email or call anytime we needed to. Our girl has many health issues as a result of years of neglect and confinement (breeder). I'm glad we have him caring for our her and we are now more hopeful for her future. Our previous girl was with HCVC for all of her 13+ years and received exceptional, compassionate care, as well.”
