“Just an all around fabulous bookstore with a welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff that give awesome recommendations. Must stop if looking for advice on good books for kids for on their own or to be read to at bedtime. I just love the feeling of walking through the door. Feels like you're walking into a shop in the Harry Potter world. Very accessible with parking as well.”
“I always make a point to stop at Room of One's Own when I'm in the Madison area! I love the selection of books, the employees are all so kind and fun to talk to, and I love what an openly welcoming place this is for the queer community. Their bumper stickers are a must-shop as well--so funny and clever! Highly recommend making a trip to this wonderful bookstore, whether you're in the area or not; it's worth the drive!”

6682 Odana Rd, Madison“What a great store! They have a huge selection of books that are in great condition for so much cheaper than new. We walked in looking for a couple children's books and walked out with a dozen books including two hardback bestsellers that came out this year for $60. A great place for a browsing trip.”
“This place is magical! It has amazing energy, beautiful crystals and spiritual products .Lydia is the best! She is super knowledgeble and went above and beyond to help us!”

201 E Badger Rd, Madison“NEW books...$1.65-$5. This place is amazing! We've purchased books for baby showers, stocking stuffers, birthday party giveaways, 4K Valentine's day, and more! Books make the best gifts...and here, you dont have to spend a fortune.”

1421 S Park St, Madison“This place is upstairs in a dated building, be prepared to dig around other boxes of inventory. Cluttered and dusty and dates and I LOVE IT. great place to dig for old books and comics.”
10AM - 9PM
E Towne Way #1, Madison“Haven't been to this location for Barnes & Noble in a while, but I'll definitely be back soon. Had trouble finding a book, so I went to customer service desk where I was helped by a young gentleman named Tyler, he was super polite and friendly! We were able to find my book in record time! Not to mention but when I went to checkout a young lady named Eve was super sweet and told me all about their free rewards program! Lovely staff!”
“I love this, Barnes & Noble! Everyone on the staff at this location is always very helpful If you’re not quite sure of where to find a book or what gift to buy, they are very knowledgeable. There is a Starbucks in this location and I think Barnes & Noble’s has one of the best reward programs, so it’s worth the membership cost each year more than pay for itself. Handicap accessible.. Handicap parking in the front.”
9AM - 8PM
15 W Towne Mall Space C14, Madison“Little bookstore within the library that sells library surplus books and CDs at very low prices. The selection is odd, you never know what you will find here. Because of the low prices it's hard to walk out of here empty handed.”
6:30 AM - 6:00 PM
8413 Excelsior Dr #130-B, Madison“This is a very nice bookstore. I love visiting and checking out all the books, comics, and games. The store is clean, organized, and all of the staff is very friendly and helpful. We have sold a lot of books there and it is awesome, easy process. I am glad we found this bookstore to check out from time to time.”
10AM - 6PM
670 State St, Madison“Home away from home. Each of the employees talks, eats, and laughs like a big family. Eclectic collection of books and tomes, which takes a while to shift through the masses to find. Be prepared to spend 2 hours or more!”
“It's huge. I only went to the first floor, but I think there are four. It's also kinda icky, like sweaty, plus you have to touch a whole bunch of door handles. There's a coffee shop in the icky stairwell if you want to get the plague. The workers are nice and helpful. I hope they don't get the plague from the icky door handles. I'll attach a picture of my dog instead of the shop.”
“Incredible collection of antique books and items. Seemingly all of the books are 50% off at the moment, so we were able to get some fantastic deals. Owner seems to be very knowledgeable. You can find books here from many different languages, cultures, and of a variety of topics. I will absolutely be returning.”
“This store is clean and has a good selection, but some uw merchandise is only sold at their location on State St. It is much smaller in size so, it does have a smaller selection but they still sell many different types of high-quality uw apparel for all ages, art supplies, and gifts. The bookstore staff are helpful and patient.”
“Spectacular. I needed a Russian-English English-Russian dictionary of a small size to carry, but still legible. Found a perfect one, durable plastic waterproof cover, about $6. Clearly half-price too. I like that bookstore; often the books appear new, even the "used" volumes are never "abused".”
“The bookstore might be one of the best things about the campus. They have a lot of helpful supplies, and the bookstore oftentimes has rental programs that save you tons and tons of money per semester. They're great.”
“Shopping at this location is always something I enjoy because it's two stories of books! I will say engagement wise this location has had by far the most helpful staff. I had at least three different employees ask if I needed help and one checked in on me again to make sure I was doing okay and gave recommendations as well based on what I was looking at.”
“Bookstore, cocktails and caffeine that could very well be the coziest in Madison! Outdoor seating when the weather is nice. A mural is planned for the west end of the building soon. Fabiola's next door has your Italian food fix plus culinary items to take home.”
