“A wonderful selection, helpful staff, and unbeatable vibes. Prices are cheaper than most used book stores, although try not to go looking for anything specific. Ordering with staff is easy and cheaper than Amazon. I love love love this place and could spend hours wandering around enjoying the presence of so many beautiful books.”
“Nice but small. Most of the time it's full and the limited seating options combined with awkward standing space makes it not super comfortable but when it's not busy then its great. They need to expand!!”
“I’ve been going here since I came to Madison in 2018 - it’s changed a lot over the years, but always to improve and offer something new, beautiful, and helpful.
I wouldn’t get crystals anywhere else - I always feel confident knowing they ensure theirs are ethically sourced - and the jewelry, candles, decorations, and books are (mostly, if not all) from local, small creators. It’s just such a great place to be, I love it.”
“How do I begin to describe this bookstore. From the outside, it is very unassuming. Once you enter, however, you're transported to a space where, let's face it, people with actual minds can dance with authors on the shelves. I LOVED the Palestine resources when you walk in. We can't find such things in the South. I also liked that they had top tier condition used books on the shelf as an alternative to paying full price for some titles. Also, I didn't mind wearing a mask as I guessed that either a staff member or clients had an immunocompromised condition. As we say in life, just be nice and do the right thing. The poetry, essay, small press, and philosophy (theory, politics, abolition, etc.) were really good. The religion books they did have were tasteful and not claptrap (thank you). Also, the staff were really friendly. I will definitely be back next year.”
“Do you like books? If your answer is yes, come here! Books for all ages and genres, there is a book for everyone here! Also has a Starbucks for a refresher if needed!”
“Just a real books store. Yes, it's kind of a big box deal but they have an amazingly large sample of most any genre. They also have a real nice are for kids and lots of books for kids of all ages.
I always end up spending more time and money at B&N than I planned to. There is just so much!”
“I loved stopping in here. We lost our mass used bookstore in Knoxville (but it smelled like a smoker's living room anyway). So, I was glad to find a new place to source used books. The staff were really helpful in finding titles that I was hoping to find, AND they found one's they didn't have at the location across town (also friendly and fun). What a great place to stop in and find a new read.”
“Very good book store. Lots of variety and they will pay you for your used books, dvds, music, Legos, and more. Even with books being half priced they do have books that are reduced even more in price.”

“The place has all your Badger needs covered, but when they didn't have my size for a particular item, they had it delivered from one of their other locations! Thank you!!”
“Really incredible bookseller! They are the most knowledgeable in the business and have a unique collection. Customer service is outstanding and I would definitely purchase from them again and again.”

“Excellent place for affordable books. I’d heard about this in Madison local reviews and on the Little Free Library stewards page, so I had to check it out for myself. There were lots of reasonable prices books ($2.25 on up) with many contemporary titles. I purchased a few books for myself and my kiddos
(Picture books, early reader, and chapter books). The adult section is smaller as it primarily for kids, but they did have a small section. There were even books in Spanish (and Spanish /English) as well as board books for babies and stuffed animals. I will definitely be back! The one caveat is that they are only open Monday through Friday 8-4:30.”
“Parking was easy.
Great little antique book store. I was impressed and pleased with the art and fiber art books I found. Will be bringing my crafting friends here.
Prices are VERY good!!!”
“Very nice store. The store is really into the Badgers. You could find anything you need there. Excellent for all sports. The people working there go out of their way to help you find what you are looking for. So if you are really into sports, check them out. I give this store a 10!”

“Perfect Store for kids. Respectful Staff. Good discounts in Christmas. Loved it . Thanks to gentlemen who works in the register, informed us about military discount.”
“The bookstore might be one of the best things about the campus. They have a lot of helpful supplies, and the bookstore oftentimes has rental programs that save you tons and tons of money per semester. They're great.”
“My family loves mystery to me!! From baby story time to the best reads, I highly recommend! The owners are the absolute sweetest and they are incredibly knowledgeable.”
