“Our family stayed at this Hampton Inn while on a ski trip in Wisconsin. The staff does an excellent job. David at the front desk was very personable and helpful. There was a large youth sports group staying at the hotel, with many demands and he was professional and worked very hard to make the guests happy. Bryanna (sp?) was very helpful trying to help with my multiple room reservations and special requests.”

“This strange little gem was the highlight of our recent trip to Madison to see notorious garbage person Morgan Wallen in concert. It's a small, no-frills hotel (actually, the curtains are very frilly) with pretty basic amenities. It's clean and quiet, and there's a bar/restaurant onsite and free breakfast in the morning. Where Hotel Ruby Marie really stood out was with service. After returning to the hotel drenched from rain and disappointed by a truly awful concert, we were in desperate need of food and drinks. Apparently nothing in Madison is open after midnight on Sundays, so we were losing hope we'd find anything. As we walked into the bar after midnight, the bartender/innkeeper was closing up. We asked if we could have a quick drink to go- and he not only served us at the bar, he made us a frozen pizza and played the music we wanted to hear (not Morgan Wallen) on touchtunes. He could have easily said they were closed, but stuck around just for us. Excellent service and the highlight of our evening. Thank you, innkeeper! We'd definitely stay again.”

“This is the coolest place I’ve ever stayed in. I’m here for three weeks and I’m in the long-term stay where they have a kitchen stove, dishwasher coffee pot. And if you need a crockpot blender or any of that type of stuff, I lend it to you”
“We loved how clean the room was. Much more than we expected. Full fridge, stove dishwasher. If we knew ahead of time that was all there we might not have gone out to eat. Lol. Many nice restaurants and stores close by. I would give 5 stars, but the AC unit constantly made a loud horrible noise.”
“A clean, well-run hotel on the west side of Madison. Easy access off the Beltline Highway. Great breakfast in the morning. Rooms are clean, equipped in a modern fashion, and well maintained. Check-in staff are very pleasant and do whatever they can to make your stay comfortable and affordable. Room rates are reasonable and you certainly get your money's worth.”
“I’m a repeat customer at this Hampton Inn and it is perfect for a local base when visiting relatives. Beds are comfortable, pillows are great, location is convenient. But really it’s the staff that makes me keep choosing this hotel—special recognition for the very kind and capable Katherine at the front desk!”

“We knew that campus would be sleepy during the summer but the Union Hotel was pretty much closed during a July stay. The restaurants that were open at all and even the bowling alley / pool tables were closing at very early hours. It was a healthy walk to any shops or restaurants from here but would be great if you were in town for a football game. Room was very clean and had modern Madison decor. It was pricey in the off season so I can't imagine what the rates are during the typical school year. The summer official campus tours leave from here so well worth it for visiting families with potential students.”
“I've had to stay here on several occasions for work trips. I always get friendly service and the rooms are always well kept and feel fresh. There is a pool and a gym as well, along with ample parking all the way around the building. They do not serve breakfast, but there is a restaurant in the building that is a convenient option if you don't wish to go to any of the nearby dining choices. It is located right off the interstate, near the Madison airport as well as a few minutes from downtown Madison. It's a solid choice for a stay, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again in the future.”

“I guess supposed to be 50's themed. Room was clean. Close by restaurants. Middle of University of Wisconsin. Coffee shop in hotel could use some improvements with the drinks. Bar on 7th floor was better than I was expecting. Would I stay again, probably.”

“We stayed at the Staybridge and our suite came with a full kitchen, a couch, and a king bed in a separate bedroom. The setup was convenient overall, though the bedroom doors didn’t quite close properly, which was awkward, and the bathroom was located inside the bedroom—making it less practical in the morning if someone needed to get in without disturbing the person sleeping. It was our first time staying at this type of hotel, as we usually stay at Holiday Inn Express, but we decided to try this one since it’s also part of the IHG group. The breakfast was much more varied than what we’re used to at Holiday Inn, which was a highlight. Overall, I’d recommend this hotel, especially if you’re planning a longer stay, thanks to the kitchen and the breakfast variety.”
“Excellent service! I have stayed at this hotel for a total of 7 nights across 2 business trips to Epic. The family who operates this hotel is very kind, friendly, and hospitable, perfect for running a hotel. They're friendly, kind, and helpful from check-in, throughout the stay, and beyond check-out. They kindly pick you up and drop you off at both the Madison Airport and Epic, complimentary for hotel guests. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and quiet at a very reasonable nightly rate. Overall, I had two great experiences at this hotel and will gladly return again the next time I need to visit Epic.”
“I stayed here for one night a couple of weeks ago. I think it’s a quaint little hotel, and overall I had a pleasant experience.
Before booking, I saw the mixed reviews, so I went in cautiously—I brought my own towel, soap, shampoo, and conditioner just in case. It turned out that most of that wasn’t necessary: The bathroom had clean towels, soap, body wash, and shampoo (though no conditioner).
When I first arrived, there was a sign on the front door saying to call a phone number for check-in, which was a bit confusing at first—I later found out that only applies after hours when the door is locked. The staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful once I got inside.
It looked like the hotel was wrapping up some renovations. The pool was out of service, but that didn’t bother me since I hadn’t planned to swim. My room was clean and included a microwave and mini-fridge, which is always nice to have (I've been to far more expensive hotels that didn't even have those). I also appreciated the clearly-marked envelope for leaving a housekeeping tip—I wish more hotels did that.
The free breakfast was very minimal. There was even a sign in the breakfast area that said something along the lines of, “Be our guest, but don’t expect much,” which I found both amusing and a little unprofessional.
All in all, the Valued Stay Aloha is a modest but decent place to stay for a night or two, especially if you manage your expectations.”
“Stayed for a week while we awaited moving into a new home. The front desk staff are very friendly, generous and accommodating to my situation. Beds are comfortable, basically clean, quiet rooms. The bathroom towels are far too thin and small. The pool area and hot tub need a solid cleaning, and was messy with towels or pieces of dirt or trash. The breakfast is hot, yet seemed to have minimal variation and was inconsistent with items like eggs (important for vegetarian types like me). Location is a bit quirky so be sure to ask staff as the GPS is not yet updated with the under-construction roads and signs. The building is mid-renovation and changing to a new brand so I imagine it will be even better in the months to come.”

“Where do I begin!? This little motel seems like ordinary on the outside and you may assume another shoddy motel, but honestly it’s newly renovated, the staff is spectacular and I’ve never had an experience like this where I’ve felt like home at a place away! This is probably the best service I’ve ever had and will be the ONLY hotel/motel I’d recommend or prefer here in Madison area!”
“The only problem we had is our room, spelt like smoke not sure if people were smoking in there prior to our arrival but we will let the front desk. People know otherwise everything was amazing. We will be staying there again.”

All of the staff were very accommodating, pleasant, able to assist with our needs (and those dang cookies my partner loved, they were so so so good and John made us a special plate) . We will be staying here every 4 months or so. Loved it x1,000,000,00!!”
