“This is a solid grade A for accommodations. Less than a 15mins ride to/from the airport and shuttle is included. Wonderful perky front desk staff. Their courtyard landscape is very well done. Key card access is needed for elevator use (added security.) IHG brand points. Cute- hip decor throughout the hotel. Extra perk of frig, expresso maker, and microwave in the room.
I slept wonderfully! I would definitely return.”

“An absolutely amazing place to stay, I am out here on business and can't help but notice the friendliness provided by Phi and the kitchen crew! Very customer oriented, very professional with just the right amount of friendliness that I've seen nowhere else. Phi, you need to be promoted.”

“One of the best Hampton Inn locations I have visited.
Nearby activities: Close to campus, Camp Randall, and the waterfront trails and parks.
Walkability: Clubs, venues, comedy, food & drink of all sorts.
Food and drinks: Campus nightlife is close but so are many grown up options!”

“This strange little gem was the highlight of our recent trip to Madison to see notorious garbage person Morgan Wallen in concert. It's a small, no-frills hotel (actually, the curtains are very frilly) with pretty basic amenities. It's clean and quiet, and there's a bar/restaurant onsite and free breakfast in the morning. Where Hotel Ruby Marie really stood out was with service. After returning to the hotel drenched from rain and disappointed by a truly awful concert, we were in desperate need of food and drinks. Apparently nothing in Madison is open after midnight on Sundays, so we were losing hope we'd find anything. As we walked into the bar after midnight, the bartender/innkeeper was closing up. We asked if we could have a quick drink to go- and he not only served us at the bar, he made us a frozen pizza and played the music we wanted to hear (not Morgan Wallen) on touchtunes. He could have easily said they were closed, but stuck around just for us. Excellent service and the highlight of our evening. Thank you, innkeeper! We'd definitely stay again.”

“Came here because of the reviews, the pet policy, and Tammy! Tammy was SO helpful and patient answering all of my questions and making recommendations. Henry was great too!
The room was clean, the pool area was nice.
One of my favorite parts was the shower. Great water pressure and the way the bathroom laid out is very user friendly.
This seems like a reliable choice for a hotel if you are looking for something clean and comfortable.
Rooms: We had a single king bed - pretty cramped but the bathroom was spacious and functional. Everything was neat, climate control worked well.
Nearby activities: We went to Toby's Supper Club, it was a two minute drive and a ten minute walk. They had great deals on dinner, definitely check it out. Other than that everything was about a 15-25 minute drive. We walked around on State Street and checked out the free zoo.
Safety: For the most part this place is pretty isolated and quite. There are plenty of locks on the doors and the staff is very good about monitoring the front.
Walkability: Not much to walk to besides Toby's - but that's worth it.
Food and drinks: Breakfast was fun and delicious (Belgian waffles, fluffy eggs), but bring some fruits and veggies to snack on. Very high sugar/low nutritional value options due to processing. I know it's not a Whole Foods - just a tip if you're going to be depending on their breakfast as an essential part of your meal planning/budgeting (which we were).
Noteworthy details: Wifi worked great!
No housekeeping knocking on our door an hour before check out! Can't lie, this was pretty nice. The elevator is very speedy.
Their pet policy is $25 a night and you cannot leave your animal in the room unattended. This made a couple of things tricky, like enjoying the free breakfast, but it's a good price for what we needed.
We were on the top floor, and there was a weird vibration that went through the floor and the bed that would occur for extended periods of time. From the hotel, not from us. ? It woke us up a few times in the night. It wasn't bad enough to say something.”
“This is a convenient location to host medium to large meetings or conferences. It has its own parking ramp for guests only, which is a really great feature in downtown Madison. they delivered on all our agreed-upon logistics and kept things efficient.”

“Great location, rooms were as advertised
Front desk staff was more than accommodating
Fire pit non-functional as of 10/14/24 but they said they are get it removed”
“We spent 3 nights here. No complains. I liked my breakfast. Give me eggs in different ways and I'm happy. Coffee was excellent.
Good choice of breakfast food.
Rooms: Rooms are clean and neat. Housekeeping was good.”
“We loved how clean the room was. Much more than we expected. Full fridge, stove dishwasher. If we knew ahead of time that was all there we might not have gone out to eat. Lol. Many nice restaurants and stores close by. I would give 5 stars, but the AC unit constantly made a loud horrible noise.”
“A clean, well-run hotel on the west side of Madison. Easy access off the Beltline Highway. Great breakfast in the morning. Rooms are clean, equipped in a modern fashion, and well maintained. Check-in staff are very pleasant and do whatever they can to make your stay comfortable and affordable. Room rates are reasonable and you certainly get your money's worth.”
“The one word that comes to mind when reviewing this Madison hotel is....No!
No! This is not just your regular average hotel.
No! This not just your regular average customer service.
No! This is not just your regular average amenities.
I somehow unintentionally book the wrong dates for my stay thinking I booked in August but in actuality my booking was set for October. This was MY error NOT the hotels and I already pre paid for my room. Not only did the hotel manager issue me a full refund for October but he got me squared away right away. I paid and got checked in right away no hassle. Breakfast had many seating options so I didn't feel people were overlapping one another which was nice! The pool & spa also a relaxing touch! Freshly made cookies & coffee in the lobby for guest. Sitting area with fireplace etc. I could rant about this relaxing stay all day but I think everyone gets the point aha. Definitely a 5 star stay experience. Thanks!!”
“Everything was immaculate. From the employees, to the room being clean, and the view was amazing. They have all the soaps and things you might need if you don’t bring your own. Bed was comfortable and clean! Vallet was super convenient. Will definitely be back.”

“The focus of this review is service. Excellent staff.
I left my work backpack in the room a d checked out... After about 2hrs, I realized the backpack was still in the room.
I called the hotel, they located the laptop and I asked them to keep it at the front desk as I would get it the next day. They agreed
I arrived the next day to find my backpack on the desk, not on the floor or in some corner. There was a printed notice to the staff that I would be getting it. Simply awesome. I got it back and everything was in place.
The rooms and overall amenities in this hotel was very good. There is a Starbucks coffee in the lobby.
I would definitely stay there again.”

“Love staying here! The rooms are always spotless and welcoming with small University of Wisconsin touches throughout. Front staff is always great, making check-in and out a breeze. The location within the UW Union South is hard to beat, especially on game day as Camp Randall is right across the street. Within the union itself, there a a few places to get something to eat or drink as well a great little store for Badger swag. Town is still an easy walk making all that downtown madison has to offer easily accessible.”
“I've had to stay here on several occasions for work trips. I always get friendly service and the rooms are always well kept and feel fresh. There is a pool and a gym as well, along with ample parking all the way around the building. They do not serve breakfast, but there is a restaurant in the building that is a convenient option if you don't wish to go to any of the nearby dining choices. It is located right off the interstate, near the Madison airport as well as a few minutes from downtown Madison. It's a solid choice for a stay, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again in the future.”

“Quick in-and-out one-night stay here. No perks for Diamond members. Room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed, although the AC unit was terribly loud (had to turn it off to sleep). Gym was functional. Tiny pool, but the hot tub was nice. Late dinner in the hotel restaurant was surprisingly decent.”

“Beautiful Historic Hotel with nice rooms. Very pleasant staff and a big Thank You to Judy. She went out of her way to make sure my friends and I have everything we needed...even some tools to work on a motorcycle. Breakfast was delicious and our server was excellent. They truly deserve more than 5 stars. Can't wait to come back in the fall.”

“I guess supposed to be 50's themed. Room was clean. Close by restaurants. Middle of University of Wisconsin. Coffee shop in hotel could use some improvements with the drinks. Bar on 7th floor was better than I was expecting. Would I stay again, probably.”
“The Marquette Hotel is amazing! The check in process, lovely atmosphere and reasonable rates are extraordinary. The cafe and staff are fabulous as well. Our go to place to stay in Madison!”
“This hotel maybe in a ruff area but the staff and the hotel its self is quite amazing Avis ,Nate ,Dan and Joe make this hotel worth coming back to every time. They are always helpful and I think that each of them should get a raise for all the efforts they put into their customers thank you motel 6 for being my go to place”
“I really enjoyed my stay. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and my room was comfortable and well-cared for. The pool is above and beyond other hotel pools ; )”
“I liked this hotel. The room was quite large for the price and the cleanliness was acceptable. Though I did notice some drain flies appearing in the bathroom and under the cushions on the chair and couch should be vacuumed more frequently. The hotel seemed to have good facilities like a pool and gym though I didn't use them during my stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. The drinking fountains near the pool were hit or miss. One fountain shoots water on the wall behind it while the other barely trickles out. Location is the biggest downside as it's not really near anything. But overall I think this hotel is a solid choice if you're on the road and need somewhere to stay.
Rooms: The room was spacious and everything you'd expect to be clean was clean. However I'd say the room I had was a little overdue for a deep clean as evidenced by the appearance of drain flies and the amount of debris under the cushions.”
“Its a very minimalist hotel, but that was a very appealing factor as it was mostly for rest after a long day on the convention floor. My flight got in late, but the front desk made sure that I had everything I needed to get into the room without any hassle. They use a code entry( LOVE THIS!!!!) And the room was well maintained with plenty of towels and replacements for anything in the room. Highly recommend!!!”

“We stayed at the Staybridge and our suite came with a full kitchen, a couch, and a king bed in a separate bedroom. The setup was convenient overall, though the bedroom doors didn’t quite close properly, which was awkward, and the bathroom was located inside the bedroom—making it less practical in the morning if someone needed to get in without disturbing the person sleeping. It was our first time staying at this type of hotel, as we usually stay at Holiday Inn Express, but we decided to try this one since it’s also part of the IHG group. The breakfast was much more varied than what we’re used to at Holiday Inn, which was a highlight. Overall, I’d recommend this hotel, especially if you’re planning a longer stay, thanks to the kitchen and the breakfast variety.”
“I find myself passing through the Madison area often and glad I found this affordable gem of a hotel, have probably stayed here a dozen times in the last year or so . Staff has always been friendly, rooms are clean (although slightly dated), every stay has been quiet there, building seems well maintained, and they are pet friendly for the times I am traveling with my dog.”
“Stayed for a week while we awaited moving into a new home. The front desk staff are very friendly, generous and accommodating to my situation. Beds are comfortable, basically clean, quiet rooms. The bathroom towels are far too thin and small. The pool area and hot tub need a solid cleaning, and was messy with towels or pieces of dirt or trash. The breakfast is hot, yet seemed to have minimal variation and was inconsistent with items like eggs (important for vegetarian types like me). Location is a bit quirky so be sure to ask staff as the GPS is not yet updated with the under-construction roads and signs. The building is mid-renovation and changing to a new brand so I imagine it will be even better in the months to come.”

“I enjoyed my stay. The room was clean and shower hot. The best thing was that it was very close to a Bcycle kiosk which meant I could ride to my meetings downtown each day. It was a lovely ride along Winga Creek bike path.”
“I've been on the road a long time and unfortunately I have to stay at buget hotels because of cost. This hotel was the best one I've stayed at in a long time. Clean pool and hot tub, and rooms were really nice. Breakfast was always served at least 30 minutes before it was posted to start so that was really nice for early risers. Friendly staff! I wish all my hotels over that last couple of months were like this. Well worth the price!!”
“If you are a lucky traveler, occasionally you will find special place that is SO special that you don’t want to tell anyone else about it. Mansion Hill Inn is one of those rare places.
The employees were nice and helpful. The building is just amazing - Romanesque architecture at its finest. Our room was very special with ample room. Our huge bathroom was filled with fine French toiletries and even had a heated floor. The bed and sheets were the NICEST we have ever slept in - bar none. You won’t want to get out of the bed! Seriously! The breakfast goodies were locally made baked goods and were exceptionally delicious.
We are absolutely coming back here and would like to make it a yearly tradition. Only two hours from home, but felt like a European vacation getaway!
Well done!!!”
