“Living on the southeastern end of Milwaukee County and being a longtime Froedtert patient, I've gone out of my way to patronize Froedtert Moorland Reserve pharmacy in New Berlin for close to a decade. (I've also had many experiences at the pharmacy at Froedtert Tosa Health Center--formerly Plank Road Clinic--and they're just as good as Moorland Reserve). Both pharms and techs are consistently courteous and polite, they understand what true customer service means and they put it into action every time I call, drop off, or pick up--authentic care and patience in answering questions about insurance or new medications is one of their many strong points. Excellent teamwork led by strong management.
At Moorland Reserve, I feel I never have to worry about my vital medications--thyroid and blood pressure--being filled late. I've had several issues with late fills in the past before switching to Froedtert pharmacies. Late prescription fills is what led me to switch pharmacies to begin with.
Story time:
Once, I ordered my newly-prescribed thyroid med (four or five months prior) as usual from a very popular chain pharmacy. The day before I ran out, I called to confirm i could pick it up the next day, as I'd be out, and they said 'yep, no problem, come on in tomorrow'. When i stopped in the next evening after work to pick it up, they told me that they 'just didn't see' that I had ordered my thyroid med, they had 'ran out' of it, but they could have it for me the next day. Ok, fine, we all make mistakes, and I'd be okay ONE NIGHT without it (yes, I take my levo at night, right before bed). Got there the NEXT evening after work--I take partial blame for this as I didn't call during the day to see if it was ready--and not only were they still out of the thyroid med, but the woman i was speaking with now had zero idea about my conversation the prior evening with the tech there; this was the first she heard of it. So...I just left. After work, I got there about 20 minutes prior to the pharm closing, and they were the only one of these large chain pharmacies that I was using at the time around that were open until 9pm.
I knew that my parents had been using Moorland Reserve pharmacy since it opened--it's close to home for them, and I had never heard anything but compliments from them regarding the pharmacists and techs and their efficiency and honest care for patients there. The next morning, now TWO nights without thyroid meds, I drove out to Froedtert Moorland Reserve pharmacy, explained the situation, and they got my thyroid med transferred and filled with no problems--it was as easy as that.
Not once have I had an experience at Froedtert Moorland Reserve pharmacy that has been anything less than excellent. Way to go, Moorland Reserve--and thank you!”
