“This is a small town, family run hardware store. They can't possibly carry everything in that building, but they come as close as possible. I can't remember ever leaving empty handed when I went in there for something. I've had screens repaired, gotten screws and bolts for things, paint, keys, batteries, lightbulbs, toilet flusher arms, shipped packages, etc. They've even special ordered thing they didn't normally carry. Great people, great store.”

“If you've been in the south with Lowe's and Home Depot. With prices almost identical with no rebates. Be thankful for the pricing but the lumber quality is still questionable. My family has been buying from John when there was but one store. I was a small boy playing in the junk trucks in the side yard as my uncle fill his orders to build pole barns. L.W. Sullivan Co. In River Falls Wisconsin. In 1974 we built a 30x60 pole barn that was moved down the road a half mile, and still stands Today. Quality back then made John who he is today. He had problems in the early years, but look at him now. John; just don't look for big Needles and small Camels in the end.”
