She explained my options and had everything organized for my arrival. The veterinarian and the technician were sympathetic and had genuine empathy. 100% recommend for your fur babies.
Update: The paw print they made is beautiful. They even sent me a card and planted a tree in her name. I’m not crying, okay maybe a little.

Door County Veterinary Hospital
3915 Old Hwy Rd, Sturgeon BayDoor county vet hospital, has been the best thing that happened to my husband and I when we rescued our fur baby. We got him when he had a major infection from being neutered and had follow up shots he needed as well. Everyone at this clinic was so welcoming and helpful! They took our dog gave him the best dog and then explained everything thoroughly to us about what is wrong and what we need to do. When he had a skin infection they got us in right away and again explained everything we needed to know. Our fur baby is happy and healthy and now living his best life!
When we had to put down our first fur baby we were heart broken but we made the call to door county vet hospital and the the doctor was off that day but made a special trip back in for us so that we could peacefully send our fur baby over the rainbow bridge. He went peacefully and the doctor and Hailey gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye!
This clinic is by far the best in door county and the people working at this clinic are true animal lovers. If you want the best for your fur baby bring them here you won’t be disappointed!

232 N 5th Ave, Sturgeon BayThe coolest cafe I’ve ever been to. So unique and artsy, while also actually having delicious food and coffee. I could drink the iced cinnamon roll latte every day. My husband finished his hot pistachio latte in just a couple minutes. Seriously so good!! We also each got a breakfast burrito when we definitely could have shared. We want to explore the other cafes in town, but 5th and Jefferson has set a high standard!!

Door Peninsula Winery
5806 WI-42, Sturgeon BayOverall, Door Peninsula Winery was a good stop, but it wasn't quite the winery we were looking for.
There is almost no end to the variety of wines you can get here; they have many styles and flavors of wines, ciders, and even meads! They offer a free tasting which is great as most wineries charge a small fee.
The storefront is pretty big with a bunch of other things available. The wines are also very accessible and most are priced between $12-20 a bottle.
My only real complaint is that I was hoping for more wines made with grapes grown from their own vineyard. Still, this is a good stop if you're visiting Door County.

Wisconsin Humane Society Door County Campus
3475 Park Dr, Sturgeon BayI just adopted my new best friend and hiking partner. The people at the Humane society in Door County were so nice. They helped me with meeting the dog I came to see from their website and filled me in on her temperament and what ever else they new about her history they even sent me home with enough if the food that they've been feeding her for about 2 weeks so I could slowly switch her food or have time to buy more of the same.
