“Outstanding support and product knowledge! We needed to rent a mortar mixer to mix about 5 cuft of dry pack to lift a basement bathroom floor. It was discovered by the yard crew that the gas powered Toro, which had previously been transported to Waukesha from the Madison store, required significant repairs. Instead of sending us on our way with a deficient mixer, which would have ruined our job schedule and a bunch of material, the crew suggested trying the on site 120V option even though no one knew its capabilities with respect to mixing heavy dry pack. The mixer worked beautifully as long as we respected its torque limitations. Once you hear the motor begin bogging down after an initial mix, stop adding more material and begin adding your final water amount. The electric option was actually preferred for the ease of starting and stopping the motor to verify correct material/water ratio which is absolutely crucial for dry pack.”

Whether you’re tackling a major renovation or a small home project, it’s hard not to find what you need somewhere in the store. What I appreciate about this location is that help is available when you need it. The staff doesn’t hover, but there always seems to be someone nearby if you have a question or need help locating a product. The store is well-stocked, organized, and easy enough to navigate once you’ve accepted that you’ll probably spend more time browsing than originally planned. Let’s be honest: nobody leaves Menards with only the items on their list. That’s just part of the experience. “I had ceiling tiles delivered and saw by the UPS notification that they had arrived. I spoke to Heidi about needing them to be updated as delivered in Home Depot's computer so I could pick them up ASAP, since I had a worker here ready to install them. Heidi was super helpful making it happen; called me back shortly to say I could pick them up. When I got to the service desk it was super busy with customers. When it was my turn, Barbara was very helpful and very polite with a crabby customer waiting behind me. Barbara and Heidi helped my carry out my order and provided excellent customer service.
