Shamrock Acres Kennels
5227 Co Hwy M, WaunakeeI have had Willow for almost a year now. Wish I bought more from her litter as these dogs are super smart and amazing hunters. And she makes a great couch/lap dog when she's not chasing something outside. Looking forward to getting another puppy from Shamrock Acres.

Zen Dogs Center
1050 Lillian St #100, WaunakeePart I Standard Administrative Items: Everything is very clear on what is needed to get enrolled for the three trial days before my dog Griffin was officially setup in a group & day that matched his play style. Communication is always extremely prompt whenever I reach out with questions and during pick up/drop off there’s at minimum always feedback about how the day went. I also really appreciate that if there is anything to work on they let you know and also let you know what their gameplan is moving forward or what homework you also need to be doing. i.e. when you have a puppy who doesn’t know how to remove themselves from play when they get tired, and so the team just sees that behavior and know to give your doggo more breaks/naps throughout their stay before they get overstimulated. Which is an example I can provide that really highlights how Zen really caters to your dog’s specific needs and are extremely helpful to help you traverse through everything as well. (Which I really appreciate since Griffin is my first dog as an adult.)
In short, I really have enjoyed the whole experience so far and really appreciate the professionalism and thoughtfulness that they have provided. Even the small things like for the first day drop off being given the trip to show up just a bit later than 7am to allow for a less chaotic handoff and a bit extra time for the handoff. It’s a small thing but idk a head’s up like that just makes everyone’s life easier. Also, really appreciate that they work with the dogs to encourage good behavior, there are things that I have worked on with Griffin at home (like “sit,” “leave it,” “wait”) that I have noticed after a day at Zen are dramatically improved on.
Part II The Cheese: I am eternally grateful that I have found a place that provides the services that they do (socialization, activities, training, kindness, etc) and are realistically priced. My wish for Griffin is to live a life filled with love and fulfillment. From the moment I met him I knew he just wants to make friends with everyone and so again, I’m grateful a place as warm and inviting as Zen Dogs exists so that they all can help me with my wish for him. (haha sorry I’m a cheeseball but it’s true )
Everyone I have met and spoken to at Zen Dogs has been amazing and really passionate about the community that they have built there. Griffin has had daycare at Zen for a couple months now and I look forward to keeping this incorporated throughout his life.
Thank you!

Drumlin Ridge Winery
6000 River Rd, WaunakeeHad always seen the sign from the Interstate during our travels, finally decided to check it out. Cozy seating by the fireplace, perfect for a wine tasting and charcuterie. So grateful they use actual wine glasses for the tastings instead of little plastic cups like some places. Will definitely come again in the warmer months to check out the patio and vineyard side.
