“I visited Monkee’s about a 2 weeks ago in search of a Mother’ Day gift. I live in the neighborhood and took the “path of least resistance” to find a store and pick something for my Mother. I was immediately helped by Madeline, who guided me to the eye glasses section and recommended a stylish pair that would suit my Mom’s style; after giving a brief description of what she typically likes, color schemes, look, etc.
Well, my gift was a hit. And now my Mom visits this store bi-weekly to browse their inventory and talk with the staff.
Excellent service and a seamless visit for even a 43 year old man. 5 Stars!”

After a few hours of research in the campus library, most references and first hand accounts did indeed report that the establishment has shoes. Deeper study found several cases confirming that said shoes were available for purchase.

So yeah, I did it. I got my happy little butt in my car and went on down there and now I can say without a doubt that the rumors are not just mere speculation:

“My husband desperately needs a new pair of work boots. We went to 6 or 7 stores in the Huntsville/Madison area. We went into JR's Western World. I was immediately shocked about the massive amounts of......"stuff"......stuff everywhere. There is way too much....clothes, belts, purses, boots, etc. scattered all over the store. This has to be dangerous. If the elderly man who works there, were to fall, God only knows how much he would be buried under before someone found him. Definite fire hazard. But they did have some cute clothes and nice boots.”

“I came in after a poor experience with the MGK Shoe cleaning stand just down the mall and Betty was super awesome and super helpful! She sympathized with me without bad mouthing anybody and she was super helpful when it came to correcting the wrongs of the other store. She provided me with everything and all the information I needed, she didn’t try to force an upsell on me and just told me what I needed. She was great! Thank you Betty!”

“I came here to exchange some shoes that I ordered online for my daughter and Payton Helped me. He had to bring a manager over to enter a password so they both helped me but Payton was super helpful and super sweet. During that time, I also watched him check out another person and went out of his way to help with the language barrier in order to get them signed up for 10% off and to get their Discount for working at target. Seems like somebody you would really want to hang onto. “Last minute, I needed a pair of cowboy boots and western wear for a fundraiser with a “Cowboy Luau” theme and was running short on time. The staff and customer service were outstanding. They helped me pick out boots, jeans, a shirt, and a belt, and had me completely outfitted in less than an hour.

“My daughter and I went to Foot Locker in Huntsville on 7/29/25 to look for some school shoes. The customer service that we received was great! Despite them being busy when we first walked in, we were still greeted by the staff. The young man that assisted my daughter in bringing out the sizes was also really good and attentive. For him to have had quite a few customers, our wait time for him to get the shoes from the back wasn’t bad either. We only had to wait roughly 5 minutes. The girls at the cash register were also nice and courteous. I highly recommend this location and will be shopping with them more often! Thank you guys for the great shopping experience!”
