“I know this place as Hubs. It's one of my favorite stores in the area. When going fishing, we ALWAYS stop here for crickets, and whatever else we need for the trip. Everybody that works there is also friendly.”
“Clean, well stocked store with a good selection. Convenient location. Owners and staff are friendly and helpful. I always feel safe at this location. Good lighting and a nice parking lot. Clean restroom. I deducted one star because their prices are a bit higher than other stores within 5 miles.”
“I usually don’t leave reviews . BUT I JUST HAD TO FOR THEM ❤️❤️❤️ 10/10 I went for my first time they are not stingy with they’re food and i just know it’s somebody grandma cooking in that kitchennn this is a real soul food place I highly recommend baby you gone be eating your plate for three dayssss everything was 10/10”
“The cashier was very friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to select beautiful mums for me! The young gentleman who loaded and carried the flowers to my car was respectful and polite. Very pleasant shopping experience!”
“Always clean and staff is friendly MOST of the time! I always have a kid or 2 with me and they let me pull my buggy around so I don’t have to unload and reload them into a new one. Wish they had self checkout as it’s so much easier for us moms. I understand we live in a high theft area so I doubt we will get them.”
“Publix usually earn a 5 starfrom me, but this one has problems with their produce. Too often I find produce that is severely bruised or moldy. And I've had several cut fruit bowls have a significant portion of the fruit that is not yet fully ripe. I really like Publix and I'll continue to shop at this one... just not so much for my produce.”
“WOW! MY O MY! 🤗. first time visit today and was just in awe of the nostalgia, reasonable prices, stock, atmosphere etc. Had a friendly chat wit owner who made sure I was welcomed ,helped and appreciated 🤗🤗🤗. This store rocks!!!!!!”
“I need to visit this place more often. A LOT has changed since my grandparents brought me here when I was young. I feel the nostalgia! I expected to see more African American vendors like in my young years. I was surprised to see more Hispanics and everything appears to be shipped or packaged from somewhere else. I definitely will be back because I need to learn what has changed AND I want to learn more about where the produce is grown”
“The store is always nice and tidy. The staff is friendly and helpful. Pricing is like any other grocery store these days, hardly affordable. But that's with any grocery store I would recommend shopping at the pig”
“It was ok. What I did like was that it didn't smell funky like a lot of meat markets do. The meat looks good and fresh no blood leaking out the packs. I don't have any complaints”
“Foodland Highlander Grocery is one of the best all-around grocery stores. Independent and Friendly. They usually carry items you can't locate anywhere else. One of my favorites... Yellow Label Syrup... originally made in Birmingham, Alabama, but now produced in Montgomery, Alabama. They, like Golden Flake Potato Chips and Barber Dairy, should have stayed in Birmingham. *****”
“I'm a professional delivery person, with over 5000 good people who read my unbiased reviews on all these stores and restaurants locally, the employees here have always treated me well. As far as the owner, they have never offered me a dime, discount, go to hell, nothing. It took years for me to gain the trust of thousands of people who enjoy and trust my reviews and I plan to keep it that way with or without monetization which is only fair!! It takes time and effort to produce these experiences. Thank you to my readers.”
“They always are clean and stocked with what u need lil prise but all groceries are right now much higher idk I am definitely growing a garden I uselly do a small one this year I am going all in if I can afford seeds I bet garden seeds be at there highest, bc if I am thinking like this also we will know in spring”
“I just had to take a moment to recognize two amazing deli workers at — Pam and Judie. Their customer service is truly top-notch! From the moment I walked up, they greeted me with warm smiles and such positive energy. Pam and Judie were incredibly patient and made sure my orders was prepared exactly how I wanted them, paying attention to every detail. They went above and beyond to keep everything moving smoothly while still making customers feel seen and appreciated. It’s rare to come across service that feels this genuine. They made my entire experience enjoyable and reminded me why I keep coming back. Publix is lucky to have such dedicated and hardworking employees representing their brand. Thank you, Pam and Judie, for your kindness, professionalism, and excellent service — you both made my day!”
“This is an exceptional Piggly Wiggly. There are always workers stocking shelves when I go and the store is clean. The Latino section is very well stocked and has a nice selection. The management and staff take pride in their store and it shows.”

“My mother and I always loved going to PW after having medical checkups from the nearby Cahaba clinic. The customers were intelligent, the cashier and clerks were professionally trained well. So they will be more likely seeing is at the Pig many times.”
“Very clean. I went today and had to put back merchandise. I went to my car and the cashier Naomi Ruth came running out and said God told her I needed it. She was great and a keeper.”
“It is always a pleasure shopping at Publix. The store is clean, well stocked and has helpful, associates in each department. You might find lower prices on some things at other stores along with zero customer service, dirty stores and long check out lines. The saying is true" You get what you pay for."”

Walmart wants your groceries at the door before the ice cream softens. On May 29, the retailer said its 30-minute-or-less delivery had reached 33 U.S. markets, adding a wave of new cities across the Northeast. Shoppers in those areas can order from more than 100,000 items, everything from fresh produce and baby formula to pet food, electronics, cold medicine, and prescriptions. Behind the scenes, the service leans on Walmart's store network and an algorithm that factors in order size, available drivers, and distance from the store.
Trader Joe's keeps adding stores, and shoppers keep showing up. The California grocer has marked nine more locations as "opening soon," pushing its expansion into new corners of the country. The grocer also took first place in the American Customer Satisfaction Index's 2026 supermarket rankings. It has held a spot near the top of that list for years.
Target is rolling out its most ambitious store overhaul in more than ten years, with plans to remodel over 130 locations and open 30 new stores across the country this year. The retailer is also putting money into supply chain technology upgrades to keep pace with how shoppers buy today.
Kroger is spending $112 million to build two new stores and renovate 15 existing locations across central and northwest Ohio. The company calls it a "record-breaking" commitment to the region. The two new Kroger Marketplace stores will rise in Canal Winchester and Delaware, Ohio, each costing roughly $30 million to build. Kroger broke ground on the Canal Winchester location on March 19 at the southeast corner of Diley Road and Greengate Boulevard. The 118,000-square-foot store is expected to open in late fall 2026 and will create around 250 jobs.
Loblaw Companies Limited is putting serious money into its retail network this year. Canada's largest food and pharmacy retailer announced it will spend $2.4 billion in 2026 to open new stores, renovate existing locations and strengthen its supply chain. The company plans to open 70 new stores in 2026. That includes 34 Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix pharmacies and care clinics, along with 31 hard-discount No Frills and Maxi grocery stores. On top of the new openings, Loblaw will renovate another 191 stores and continue construction on a roughly 1.2 million-square-foot automated distribution center in Caledon, Ontario.
