“Jack was beyond amazing & ensured we were taken care of when time was of the essence.I, unfortunately, had made a reservation a month prior at another Penske Rental place on Raintree in Scottsdale for a cargo van (this establishment is completely useless, unhelpful and LAZY). They gave us the wrong truck on the day of our ‘out of town’ move & did nothing to help us. Told us there was no availability of what we had reserved a month ago so we either had to size up or get nothing.I called the customer service line and asked to speak with a supervisor or director who could help me since Raintree would not.I was put in contact with Jack.He immediately did a search of the area & found the van we had reserved at another Penske in Glendale and called to secure that van. He took care of the reservation so by the time we arrived all we had to do was swap out vehicles and away we went.Jack understands what good customer service is and understands that moving in itself is stressful & when things go awry it makes the situation worse. He did everything to help us and we could not be more grateful.”

“Local Pick up and drop offs should not have to brought back to original locations. And addition charges that can break you should be a sin. I wanted to drop off at a location that was near where I was moving I had to back track to original site that was over 30 miles which means I put extra mileage on and I had to pay for that as well but if I would’ve left it at a site near me, it would’ve cost me even more money that’s not an convenience for customers moving locally. I’m pretty sure you guys can shuffle around units as needed. You already have a long day from moving and I would welcome some relief of the extra stress. Not only that the unit I received was on E! to start so I had to immediately fuel up.”

“There have been some hiccups in my reservation using a U-Box. Even though Ernie doesn’t specialize in U-Boxes, he bent over backwards to try and rectify the issues. He spent a lot of time on the phone both times I stopped in talking to people so that the reservation would suit my needs. I would use this location again because you can tell Ernie really cares!”

“I recently rented a truck from U-Haul for an off-road adventure, and while the overall service was commendable, I couldn't help but wish they offered lifted trucks. The standard truck struggled a bit on some corners during my off-road excursion, highlighting the need for vehicles better suited to rough terrains. U-Haul's customer service and rental process were smooth, but an option for more rugged vehicles would greatly enhance the off-road experience for adventurous renters like myself.”

“I have recently moved to Phoenix and this was the U-Haul I decided to drop off the trailer and U-Haul to, as well storing my items here. Very friendly staff and they were all very kind as well. The facility was nice and neat, and I felt the process was straight forward and they got me everything I needed in a timely manner. “The diesel shop treated us really well. Made sure we were well informed on repairs needed, approximate eta, and was very professional and courteous. They say the drivers lounge has AC but we couldn't tell. It wasn't much cooler than outside but the staff did their best to make sure our rig was DOT safe and legal to drive. Extra shoutout to Talbott, Rodney, and Louise for going the extra mile to make sure everything was good for us to roll”

“I just want to say a BIG thanks and good looking out to James Piasecki at the location on Central in phoenix. On 6/29/23 i was looking to buy some DEF for our trucks and when I looked online the website said that you were open till 10pm. When I got there at 8:20pm the door was locked and the person the was behind the counter ignored my knocking on the door. I then went to the service department and spoke with James who was more then willing to help me out. He let me know that they actually closed at 8pm but lead me into the parts department so see if the person there would be willing to help me out. Before James could even ask, this person very quickly stated "I already clocked out!" so he asked if he could at least give him the part number for the DEF. James also looked up the website on his phone and a different search engine showed that they were open till 9pm. After a little work James was able to get me invoiced for the 4 boxes of DEF that it needed so I could be on my way. Thanks James for going above and beyond to help me out when you parts person would not.”

“We walked in to schedule a u-haul truck and trailer in advance and Jordan was EXTREMELY helpful. He was very friendly and patient while we figured out the most affordable option. We made changes multiple times but he never made us feel rushed and ensured he did whatever was best for us. I have never experienced such great customer service at a u-haul before.The excellent customer service continued even when we came back the day of our reservation! Serena greeted us and helped us out immediately. She walked us out to the truck and helped us hook up the trailer. She seemed to enjoy her job and was eager/happy to help.Overall, I’m very impressed by this location’s staff. These 2 really stood out and are great examples of what customer service should be.
