“Is there a 6th star? Wildlings is such a special place! A few years ago when my spouse and I were deciding on which part of town to live in, we landed on north central…one of the reasons on the pro list was the local toy shop! Since then, we have loved picking up special and unique gifts for our daughter and her friends. We love watching her light up with joy as she explores the various stuffies and picks up a gift for a friend’s party. The staff are thoughtful and kind and take time to get to know the children. Many of my daughter’s favorite toys were specifically curated for her in her Easter basket. I can’t say enough nice things about Jenn and the team. Shop away!”

“Shoutout to the absolute hero at Lakeshore Learning who saved Christmas. I walked in staring at my phone with a very specific list my wife sent me, clearly looking lost. An associate immediately asked if I needed help, glanced at the list, and then executed with precision. They grabbed every single item on the list while I followed along like a grateful sidekick. In and out in under 5 minutes.

“Binding issue with my Arrma Futy after a replacement esc/receiver was provided under warranty. Joe and team took me in and helped me out right away. Joe spent time and gave full attention to me and the issue and after about minutes trying and verifying, was able to identify the issue and solution. Thank you!! 5 stars. “Andrea & Lucy were outstanding! This was our first time at Build A Bear and as soon as we walked in we were greeted with a warm welcome asking if we were celebrating a special occasion and we sure were! We have a kindergarten graduate and his little brother we couldn’t leave out. The staff answered all our questions and help guide us seamlessly through the entire process. We left with smiles and tangible memories to last a lifetime. We appreciate the extra attention to detail from the ladies working here. Keep up the excellent customer service and please recognize how wonderful these gals are creating a culture of warm and fuzzies!”
“We stopped in here with my almost 4-year-old little boy to look for trucks and we found a couple. But we found a warm and inviting space as well. They have a lot of wooden toys, lot of things that align well with Montessori as well as Waldorf. Lots of different things to help a child's imagination, some books, some collectibles. I was able to talk to the owner of the store and she is just the sweetest individual. I would strongly suggest anyone stopping into this location that has or is associated with children and really consider picking up something nice. These are quality items that are going to last a long time.”
“I brought my head cover insince the elastic had worn out and was constantly falling off my driver. They replaced the elastic in 15 minutes (probably just got lucky on that turnaround). Now it is good as new. THANKS!”
“I usually have a problem leaving my bag up front in places. For some reason, I don't have a problem with it at five below. I think it's because the play seems to be tailored to children. As such , I can see why they would be concerned about shoplifting. Whatever the case , I usually just go in there for peanut chews and sour airheads. They are the only place that I know that carries the varieties of candy that I look for. I get in and I get out, no drama.”

“What an awesome store! We came on a craft Saturday where my kids each got to do a free craft and then stayed for another 30 minutes to try out some of the toy stations! Such a smart thing so I know what kinds of toys to watch for gifts!

“I’ve been coming to Over the Rainbow multiple times, both as a buyer and someone who has sold items here, and my experience has consistently been positive.
The staff has always been friendly, helpful, and respectful. Every time I walk in, I’m greeted, even when they’re clearly busy sorting, organizing, or working through inventory. People don’t always realize how much work goes into running a resale store — from inspecting items to washing and preparing them — and they do put in that effort here.
As far as cleanliness, all clothing is washed before being put out, even if it’s brought in clean. With a store like this — where items are constantly being handled by customers, including kids — it’s unrealistic to expect absolute perfection at all times. That said, if I’ve ever noticed a minor issue, they’ve always been reasonable and willing to adjust pricing.
Pricing is actually one of the best parts. Compared to places like Goodwill (especially without a coupon), their prices are fair and accessible. And as someone who has sold to them, yes — they buy at lower prices, but that’s exactly what allows them to keep items affordable for the community.
I’ve seen some of the negative reviews, and honestly, they don’t match my experience. Policies like asking for documentation for discounts are standard in retail — that’s not unreasonable, it’s just how businesses operate. One difficult interaction doesn’t reflect the overall environment of the store.
Overall, this is a hardworking, community-focused shop with fair pricing and kind staff. I’ll continue to support them.”

“I brought in something to exchange for a different size but couldn't find the size I wanted so decided to just keep it. The manager, Lois, gave me a discount on another item I was buying just because they weren't able to help me out with the right size. It was so incredibly nice of her! What a great manager!”
