The aisles are stacked aesthetically, and while there is a lot of choice, I never felt overwhelmed. With no line up on a Sunday afternoon, picking up my groceries for the week was a dream and the cashiers were very friendly and told me they enjoyed working for the owners. “Even if it doesn't have as big of a selection as bigger chain grocery stores, I find myself coming here much more often. It's close to home and the staff is friendly. The quality of the meat is really good, and their produce section usually has a good selection. They have all the basics that I regularly need.One time I came in looking for dried chives, the manager or owner (I assume) came over and offered to help me look. When he realized that they did not stock chives, he ordered some on the spot. And now they should be stocking chives! It is nice to have that kind of local connection you wouldn't find at bigger stores.”

I honestly never expected to find such an amazing bakery experience at Safeway, but Safeway Sunshine Hills completely surprised me today.
I went in to buy birthday cakes for my kids, and the bakery staff—Manveer and Raman—were absolutely wonderful. Manveer, in particular, did an incredible job decorating the cake. You could truly see that it was done from the heart, with so much care and attention to detail. I’m so grateful to her.
I walked out with a big smile on my face, and my kids were super excited when they saw their cake. The prices were very reasonable as well, which made the experience even better.
