However, there are so many items that are nearing or past their expiration date that I would like them to take better care of it. I understand that it is unavoidable to supply products at low prices, but I wish they would sell products that are close to or past their expiration date in moderation.”

“Marine Food Market is a great store in the neighborhood, I envy the neighborhood. There were a snow yesterday and -14C and all people from Marine Drive walk going to 22nd street. If weren't for the store I will not be able to warm up myself and get some water to continue walking. The owner is really nice too and she provided directions as my phone is dead.You'll never go wrong if you wanted to have a snack in the evening because they have plenty of things at the store.Thank you to the owner.”

“Thought it time for an update to this fine, small store in the neighbourhood. I have continued to enjoy shopping there, and over the past while, have tried a few more offerings I thought should be highlighted.Since my last review - I have purchased / tried more of the 'Sher Brand' products they retail. For me, it's been the 'Atta', and '100% brown whole wheat' flours -- and more recently, the basmati rice.For smaller amount convenience, I really like how the store has pre-packaged each of these flours into smaller 4 lb bags. For the rice, with no alternative size available, it was the 10 lb bag that came home with me (no problem, and easy storage).We have used the flours often, and most-recently in several bakings, with very fine results. And the basmati rice has truly been 'on the mark' with package advertising.Along with various spices, tomato sauces, couscous, and such, the store has continued to be an interesting, very productive, and fun place to shop.”

“I usually don't go here but today I did and was very happy. I will return here for all my Indian spices/foods. I was very impressed with the friendly service. It was very busy but that means people want to shop here!! The cashiers were very busy but still friendly and polite enough to answer questions. I was thrilled to find certain foods from the tropics that I had not seen in Canada before and the fruits and vegetables were fresh. I was also impressed with one of the workers who took the time to explain what certain fruits were and checked the names to make sure it was the same item I was asking for (some fruits/veg have different names according to where in the world you come from). I loved the variety in this store. Will definitely be going back here from now on. I also like the location. You can find parking in front or on the side street.”

“Had a great order from them on Uber eats for pick up. Service was kind and they had a good array of authentic Mexican snacks which were fun to try. Highly recommend the ripe plantain chips which were sweet and crunchy. The store was super well stocked with all sorts of snacks and foods and I would totally go back to try other exotic snacks. There is available parking at the front of the store.”

“We love going to the Safeway for our groceries. It is a clean and well laid out store with nice staff. It can get busy,in the parking lot so just be forewarned as it is in a popular complex. We always look for any sales that we can find because it can be a bit pricey shopping at Safeway but sometimes we just find the quality can be better for certain items. There is a Lotto centre and a Starbucks inside as well. I believe this location also has a coin exchange machine, but please do not put me on that as I haven't used it in a while.”

“Hello, Store manager. Would you kindly advise your sandwich deli team not to use the same cutting board for all kinds of deli meat and pre-made sandwich to cut? I have ordered twice and the lady used the same board to cut my sandwich without a paper. A paper on the board and using different knife to cut a bread and meat would avoid contamination from the meat at least. Using different cutting board for breads would be the best. Please make sure it is happening next time. Thank you.----------------------Thank you for the prompt response, I like your store made sandwiches including those on the refrigerator section. It would be nice to see all deli sandwiches to be cut clean and professionally in front of customer's eyes as the quality and the prices are good.(about $10 for all kinds at the deli counter) Pleas e no more same cutting board or at least putting a paper below each sandwich before cutting on that board and use new paper to wrap. “The Save On is located at the boarder of Coquitlam and Burnaby. Inside is quite clean. Isles are wide. I like the fact that they do price match so that I don't have to make a trip to Thirty's Food, Safeway etc. One thing I have noticed is how many on sales items they have. They have on sale tag everywhere.”
