We recently brought our cat Luca in for neutering, and the procedure was done with such skill and care. The incision site is barely visible clean, minimal, and healing beautifully. Luca came home with a huge appetite, full of energy, and clearly comfortable. We’re incredibly grateful for Dr. Lepitre’s expertise and the compassion shown throughout. Highly recommend!

Mountainside 24/7 Animal Emergency
2580 Capilano Rd, North VancouverTook my senior dog (Lola) in over the weekend as she was showing distress with her breathing. The level of care she received was not only professional, but thoughtful. Wait time was minimal, granted it was at 1-2AM, but the process of being checked in and seen was quick.
Receptionist and vet nurse were very patient and friendly, and Dr. Kartolo, who working the overnight shift was kind and knowledgeable. We requested a follow up whenever the results came back even if it meant calling into the wee mornings (4AM). She provided necessary updates and mentioned the team would call again once the Director was on shift for another update.
Dr. Harry Cozens called first thing in the morning and his detailed and thoughtful report was so very appreciated. He was so patient with answering our questions and never once did we feel rushed with any decision making or suggestions. He was honest and truly an animal lover who understands the impact a fur-member of the family can have. Dr. Cozens really helped with our new reality of our dog's diagnosis and I can't thank him and the Mountainside Team enough. He was so good I wish he practiced as a family vet so we could continue with him.
In regards to the price of treatment, it's completely understandable that some may feel they are on the higher end for level of care...but for the peace of mind and medical help at 2AM on a rainy and cold night, Mountainside provided relief for not only my dog, but us as parents. The stress of it all, I never once felt the team overwhelmed us with the cost. In fact, I feel they were very conscious when asking if this was something we were willing to do or comfortable moving forward with.
I am very happy with our experience at Mountainside Animal Hospital and feel confident in their team. Thank you, Dr. Kartolo and Dr. Cozens!

Between the pick up, group walk, and group rides home, our dog is often out for 3 hours and comes back super happy and then almost immediately after they leave, exhausted!

The coffee and food are always amazing. I am very particular with my coffee and ask for different adjustments each time, and they always make sure it is exactly how I like it. You can truly feel the care they put into everything. Such a special place that I always look forward to coming back to.

How awesome it is that they cater to vegans and vegetarians. Just wish that there’s a washroom right inside the restaurant and not out in the park. Wouldn’t mind heading out of the diner to use the washroom when the weather’s warm and dry, not so much when it’s cold and wet.

123A 1st St E, North VancouverHands down my favourite brewery in North Vancouver! You will need to trek up Lonsdale Ave from Esplanade (and I strongly suggest you do) if you are doing the Lolo rounds. Note: There are two entrances, the north entrance on E 1st and the south entrance on Lolo Ln.
The interior is kind of tiny but super cozy with more seats than you think (if there is space on a long table you can cozy up to a local if you must). However, there are more seats on the patio looking onto Lolo Ln which has heaters and is covered.
The staff are always friendly and you're really not going to face a long line. The mainstay beers are always delicious and the rotating are always interesting.
I give Streetcar a 15 out of 10.

720 Copping St, North VancouverHidden gem and so worth it. Their smash burgers are excellent. Fantastic beer selection. The fries were okay. The only issue is it was winter and it's quite chilly and drafty in there. So we ended up moving three times and surprisingly enough just inside the front door but it had a low ceiling was the warmest but we kept our jackets on. We'll definitely go back cuz those burgers were so good. Staff and service was super friendly and helpful.
