“What a gem of a store!?
Not only do you find all the products you can think of, there’s also a wide array of handmade souvenirs and artisanal items. They even have fresh meals and snacks available to buy with an area to sit and eat comfortably!
The staff were so friendly and approachable and didn’t hesitate to help me with understanding the products.
Local stores like this one keep the community alive and thriving - I’ll definitely be a returning customer! ?

“We really like this store. They have a good selection of European products to choose from, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The location isn’t ideal in my opinion—we usually spend at least an hour getting there—but it’s still worth the trip.”

“I don't get here very often as I live in Vancouver but what a great place. If only these guys were in Vancouver! Excellent selection and superb quality. If you're looking for authentic Greek products and aome Italian products, too (like pasta, pasta sauces and treats), in particular, it's worth the drive. And the aervice is wonderful. Great owners and lovely staff. As well, their prices are very reasonable. Trust me. Two thumbs way up!”

A Super Friendly and Helpful staff to assist you in your shopping experience makes your trip to Sungiven a Very pleasant experience. Worth a drive, but thank goodness I live 2 minutes away! ?

“We have been supporting this family-run business for almost 10 years that has been passed down to the next generation. They are dedicated to delivering excellent service and quality to them is job one.
They specialize in selling a variety of flours, nuts, seeds, grains, oats, spices and dried fruits with their own brand, Kismet. These items originate primarily Africa, the Middle East and other parts of the world.
Their location is convenient and central and there is ample parking at the back of their store.

“My wife and I went for the first time the other day.. and entirely on a whim as we were just driving by and saw the Portuguese flag on the window. We were greeted with a friendly smile as we entered and we offered assistance if needed. We bought the chorizo and some chicken. I will say, the chorizo tasted pretty authentic to me! They had some decent variety of dry goods as well. We will be going back for sure when in the area.”
“They had very good deals. I went first time few months back for my favorite fruit that was on deal. The customer service was good then too, and I just called to check if its still there, the phone was answered quick and the reply was that the season was over. But the way he spoke was so polite, humble and caring, and he apologized for it as the season was over. That's the customer service when you are not even in person. So many other places they sound so rude, unwelcoming, or irritating to answer over phone.”

One thing I appreciate is that they carry ready-to-eat and packaged items that actually taste homemade, not mass-produced. It’s clear they prioritize quality over cheap options, which is rare.
The store is always clean and well-organized, and the staff are friendly and helpful without being pushy.
If you’re serious about authentic Latin food and not just looking for the lowest price, this is the place to go. Highly recommended.”

“My family regularly comes here. Even though we don't speak tagalog, we always feel very welcome. We are often greeted each time we go through the door. The stock changes, so we aren't always sure what will and won't be available, but that's pretty normal. I especially love the desserts they have at the cash register. I always like to take a peek to see if my favourites are available!”
