“This is probably the nicest Safeway ive ever been to. They have such a big selection of everything including ready made food. The sushi is surprisingly pretty good for Safeway sushi. The spicy crunchy tempura roll is my goto. I also didnt realize they had chinese food. I finally gave it a try this past week because my coworker mentioned it to me. If im being honest, I definitely prefer their chinese food over the chinese restaurant in the plaza. I got the the chow mein, mandarin chicken and broccoli beef. They were all pretty good. The cooks are also very nice.”

“Stopped in for some fresh produce and left with over $150 of fresh groceries. This is a family owned market that has everything you’d want and then some. Locally sourced produce, fresh, and clean. A bit overpriced but comes with the location. I hope this place can avoid the disasters that often come with opening a new business in Oakland. Protect this place!”

“I needed some snacks to take on the road, to avoid the temptation of buying junk food when I get hungry. Trader Joe's was open and available when I was on the way, while I was on the hunt for a gas station. It wasn't busy, as it was still kinda of early on the morning. It's one of the bigger sizes Trader Joe's with a nice sized refrigerates section. I grabbed some simple snacks for later: 1 banana (charged per item, never by weight!!), 2 chomps jerky sticks: 1 jalapeno, 1 turkey. The cashier was nice and I was able to pay for my snacks without a wait and I was out in less than 15 minutes. Yay!”

“I love this place, from the deli/meats, hot foods, fruits & vegetables, and all other grocery options of unique and common items. I love walking through the store, a smaller store, but it feels great walking the aisles and window shopping. Cashiers are always friendly, and usually pleasant to converse with.The only issue for me is sometimes the price of common items may be more than a chain market, but I select smartly.”

“Had driven from Hayward to San Ramon to pick up a special RX for my cat, from Custom Care Compounding, which is a compound pharmacy. On the way back I figured I better use a restroom before making the long drive home in high traffic. I pulled into a gas station but then saw this place next door so decided to walk into it. First thing I noticed was how clean this place was. Walked to the back and saw a man in the meat department (which was again super clean looking) and he pointed to the restroom. After I had conducted my business in the rest room I decided to look around and see if I could buy something small, so that I wouldn't feel bad about just using their restroom. I bought tea bags ( Ahmed Tea London, Cardomom) and a box of Indian cookies, Nan Khatai. On the drive back I wondered how it would be to buy fresh chicken and goat from that extra clean looking meat department! Came home and made myself a cup of that tea(absolutely delightful) and had one of those cookies. (Check video). I feel San Ramon is lucky to have a nice little market like this one. I hope to go back one day soon!”

“I can remember coming to this store, when I was about 5 yrs old with my O bachan " grandma, Reiko Sugimoto. Every other weekend on a Saturday. We would buy food, go back to her place and make all kinda of Japanese cuisine. I love this place, it reminds me so much of Japan. So authentic and original, so different than the .99€ ranch. So many products to choose from, and I like that, they sell sushi on Saturday. The authentic version like my grandma makes. So yummy and fresh, I like that I am 1/4 Japanese, along with a couple more nationalities. Every time I come into the store reminds me of going back to my roots. I have children of my now, all grown up. Now I bring my children with me, almost every time I shop here, keep the tradition of my grandma. I love this place, so cute and small store. Reminds me of when I was a young girl about five years old, and it brings me down memory lane. I love that it stays so original and authentic. They stock up on their products, fast customer service, and I like that there's so many options to choose from. I will be coming to this store, forever however long it remains. Five stars !!!! Bon appétit !”

“The Arbat Russian Grocery Store is a very helpful and most satisfying tiny grocery shop in Concord without a doubt!They’ve got decent selection of fresh Eastern European products of great quality. “Haven't been here since a kid with Grandma. I was pleasantly surprised to how neat, organized and clean it was inside. The produce was fresh and bright, grabbed greens for 1.99 a pound and turkey wings. Prices on some things weren't displayed but prices were fair especially on the meat. There's a DMV, check cashing, Western Union, candy area,other small business inside. Really conveniently located . The staff was friendly and helpful. Everyone had a positive vibe and was knowledgeable about items in the store. Honestly this is one of the best grocery store I've been to. I was apprehensive as we drove to it because neighboring streets appear shady although it was very clean inside and out of the store, no weird smells, or people hanging around. I would definitely shop here they also have boudin, gumbo, and other southern treats and spices. Try it and hit like if you enjoy you won't be disappointed.”

“I have only been here twice. Purchased once. I remember when they first opened I came to check it out. It was pretty well stocked then. I went there last week and it was stocked well with a lot of beers consisting of a good variety! I did not have time to look at the mixers for the hard liquor but they seem like they had a good variety of hard liquor as well. They have a pretty good selection of microbrews I've never heard of before. The owners are very nice! I would definitely come back again! And their prices are very reasonable. I would recommend this place! I do need to dive a little deeper into looking at their inventory. But so far I like what they're doing!”
