1930 Airdrome Entry, City of AtwaterGrand opening today - at the Tarmac at Castle. A huge crowd enjoyed the dozen or so craft beers, playing games (bean toss), the food trucks and the live music. It was inside and outside (with portable heaters) and loads of fun.

1930 Airdrome Entry, City of AtwaterIf you're anywhere near The Tarmac, do yourself a favor and stop in. On a scorching hot day, I grabbed an El Tri, and it was exactly what I was hoping for crisp, refreshing, and not heavy at all. Perfect beer for beating the heat. My wife went with the Concert in the Park Cider, and she loved the tangy, tart flavor. If you're a cider fan, that's an easy recommendation.
Now let's talk about the hidden gem inside the building: El Salchichon Hot Dogs. These guys absolutely do NOT believe in skimping on toppings. We ordered the Street Style Bacon Dog, Grilled Corn Bacon Dog, Shrimp Fajita Bacon Dog, and a massive order of Loaded Crinkle Fries. Every bite was packed with flavor and loaded with ingredients. You definitely get your money's worth.
To top it all off, the two guys working behind the counter were awesome and surprised us with a Street Style Cheeseburger. Talk about hospitality! Great food, great service, and great people. It's the kind of place that makes you want to come back just to see what's next on the menu.
Cold drinks, killer hot dogs, loaded fries, and genuinely friendly people. The Tarmac and El Salchichon Hot Dogs are a combination that's hard to beat. Highly recommend! 🌭🍺🍟
