Veterinary care is pricey everywhere, but here they have a coupon for a free first exam, and wellness plans that are 20 bucks a month that help too. I especially appreciated the practical, hands-on approach —including experiencing the equipment from the dog’s perspective and learning how tools like the electronic collar, beep, and whistle can be used for communication and redirection rather than deterrent.
The biggest takeaway for me was that good training is really about building a cooperative relationship through communication, repetition, motivation, and trust. Even the simple idea of “try again” creates a positive learning experience for both the dog and the person training them. Highly recommend Nelson Kennels at Volta farms for anyone interested in understanding the *why* behind dog training, not just the commands.
