after living at 300 Railway Apartments for a year and a half, I have nothing but great things to say. This place truly feels like home—clean, organized, and incredibly safe. The location is unbeatable, close to downtown, and the neighbors create such a welcoming atmosphere.

Brenda, the leasing office manager, is a real gem. She’s not just professional but also incredibly kind and treats residents like family. Any maintenance requests I've had have been fixed faster than I could expect. The pool area is always clean, and there’s a fresh, pleasant smell throughout the building.

In the year and a half I’ve lived here, I’ve never had a single complaint. Everything has been smooth, from the apartment itself to the management. I can confidently say that 300 Railway is one of the best places to live, and Brenda plays a huge part in that.

“I have been living at the Eaves at Mountain View on Middlefied for about 4 years. I have never lived in any shared housing facility where the apartment workforce, in this case Mae, Alexa, the maintenance supervisor and maintenance persons assigned to my building, treat you like family. Whenever I have a complex situation, the staff addresses the concern with comprehensive problem-solving, utilizing all of the appropriate resources to find efficient and effective solutions to my concerns. I work in a profession where exemplary customer service is paramount to the profession's mission. I can say that customer services at the Eaves in Mountain View on Middlefield is top-notch. I want to thank the staff for providing me with a domicile that is safe, comfortable, peaceful, and so convenient.”

“Robert and Rojelio are the best! I feel we have the best maintenance team around! When there is an issue, they respond so quickly! The netting in my sliding door came off as my daughter ran into it. I saw them outside and they promptly took out the door and fixed it, no questions asked! They are the best!!!!!”

“Emily was an absolute pleasure to work with during our tour of Mission Pointe by Windsor. From the moment we arrived, her energy and enthusiasm were contagious. She clearly knows the property inside and out and made the entire experience feel personal rather than just a sales walkthrough.

She was attentive, answered every question we had, and followed up promptly afterward, which really stood out. Ultimately, we decided the unit sizes and storage options weren't quite the right fit for our needs, but that had nothing to do with Emily's effort ; she went above and beyond at every step.

If you're considering Mission Pointe, ask for Emily. Even if the property isn't your final choice, you'll leave feeling well-informed and genuinely taken care of.”

“Overall i had good experience. Rules are not enforced so you can do anything. There is no leasing or management on site. Every month or two you will get email reminding about rules but again not enforced mostly scare tactic. Maintenance was very good, Mr. Kevin helped with many issues, was very timely and friendly. They just do fresh paint on outside so apartments look very good. If u cannot handle loud noise from neighbor then maybe not for u but im originally from india and this was normal for me.”

“I have had a wonderful experience living in this apartment. The environment is beautiful, clean, and well-maintained, creating a very comfortable place to live. The price is also quite reasonable, especially considering the quality of the facilities and services provided.

The staff here are incredibly friendly and always willing to help. (Huge thanks to Molly!!!) They are professional, approachable, and make every effort to ensure residents feel welcome and supported.

The maintenance team is also very efficient and responsive. Any requests or issues are addressed quickly and effectively, giving me great peace of mind.

“I had a fantastic experience staying here for a year. The apartment complex is well-maintained, and the amenities are top-notch. The pools are beautiful and always clean—perfect for a relaxing swim. I also enjoyed using the sauna, and the tennis courts were a great addition for some outdoor activity. The management team is responsive and friendly, making living here a pleasure. Recent experience:
Some resident here are very arrogant.. I was loading few thing in my car and left it on street for 10mins(was constantly visiting) an arrogant resident came by and asked to turn off the blinker and stating passing racist comments. When confronted, she started accusing me for stealing her stuff from her car. I was completely shocked. May be is because I caught her peeping into my car.”

“In the past I would have given this place 3 stars but the new management has really stepped up and made improvements. They are very responsive and helpful with any questions or issues I've had.”

“An oasis of peace in San Jose. Its so blissful to live here. There are giant redwoods, blooming flowers, immaculately clean pool, jacuzzi and a fitness center. They could have easily added more floors and made the property more crowded but they rather preferred preserving the "resort-like" ambience. While the maintenance team is passionate about their job, Luu is the star of the show. Theresa-the property manager is so courteous and always willing to help with a smile. I lived here for 2 years and was bummed to move out due to change of job to another city. I'd definitely live here again if I am back to San Jose.”

“It’s great to see the property modernizing the facilities. The new gate access through the app is convenient and works well, and they’ve also recently reflattened the patio pavement. The staff is really attentive and responsive, which I genuinely appreciate. The main downside has been neighbors smoking, which has impacted the day-to-day living experience (and I’ve seen other reviewers mention the same issue).”

“Lived here for a little over two years and absolutely loved it. Being next to Eagle Park was perfect for our dog, who also liked to people watch from the balcony. The proximity to downtown Mountain View is also great.

Another bonus is that the front desk staff is super friendly and helpful. Really went above and beyond to make sure our experience there was nice.

“We've lived here comfortably and pretty safely for 3 years.

As others have pointed out, Ray on the maintenance team keeps this place running smooth! He's always prompt, professional, kind and friendly. He will fix whatever problem has presented itself AND take the time to say hi to your dog. Things malfunction, it's a normal part of a home. But Ray gets things back to working order quickly- even if it's a weekend. I can't imagine this place without him here!

Despite others' complaints, the rent here seems on par for the area. It was sort of mid-range when we moved in. Spacious storage wise and parking wise. Our unit was renovated before we moved in and it has held up relatively well. We had a small number of ants once. The complex has pest control here weekly anyway and they came by and took care of it the next day. Haven't seen an ant since.

The noise of renovations around the complex can be loud especially if you're near one of the large dumpsters they fill and empty almost daily. There's also debris around these dumpsters constantly (broken glass etc) But it is something we were warned about before moving in. They tried to start tossing things into the dumpster around 7am one weekend but all it took was me standing in my doorway, telling them it was too early and they left.

Our catalytic converter was stolen from our spot in the parking lot over night once but I know that's a common thing. If packages are left outside the mailbox they will be stolen. The mailboxes themselves have been broken into a couple times too. But Justin at the leasing office holds packages for us now! He'll also come pick up a package from your door and hold onto it for you if you're away. Super friendly guy. Always around to answer questions and help out. We did install home security cameras etc for peace of mind but I dunno, I think that's just par for being in the bay. We've felt generally pretty safe here. I think it might have something to do with our unit being further away from El Camino and more nestled into the subdivision, but who knows.

The neighbours & staff are friendly, there's a nice park nearby, the place is very dog friendly (except no pets allowed in the common area which kind of sucks...) but it's close to work and the climbing gym.. if we've gotta be in the bay this place is good enough for us.”

“I have lived here for the last two years and am leaving due to other reasons. However, this place is absolutely the best. Everyone working there is so kind, so welcoming, and really works hard to make this place feel like your home. This is largely due to the incredible staff that works at this property, including everyone in maintenance, and everyone working in the leasing office. The units are beautiful, parking is flexible and it is straightforward to acquire additional slots for a reasonable additional charge (which is extremely difficult at other apartments) which worked great for 3 professionals living in an apartment with separate jobs and each having our own cars. This apartment is secure, it is beautiful, and it was an absolute pleasure spending the last two years here. If you are thinking about living here, you won't regret it.”

“Been here for 2 years and what makes the difference for me is how the management goes above and beyond to take care of the tenants and the building. The ladies at the leasing office have been above and beyond helpful when it comes to things like delivery, packages and inquiries. The property has also got a beautiful lounge by the pool area which I often take advantage of for WFH.”

“5 days ago, I moved into a nice studio apartment. The grounds were clean and secure. The staff members, Daysy, Dan. Betina, and TJ were all very friendly helpful ,and knowledgeable. I'm looking forward to lounging by the pool and grilling some great meals on the large gas grills in the pool area. Im very glad my dog likes it here too.”

“Very beautiful community. Everyone here is nice people don’t leave their dog feces on the floor. It’s a very clean place. Maintenance is always on site. It’s a safe area to raise your family, it’s a secured gated place it’s near the 49er stadium, which is also pretty cool. There’s a lot of great food near this location. If I can give it 100 stars I would oh and by the way the Office team is extremely nice and catering to your needs. I went across the street to go be nosy and their apartment is way small. This was a great fit for my family. The gym is 24 hours and its kept clean. The rent is extremely reasonable for the high-end area We are in.”

Specially Manager Anu has been friendly, very helpful, nice person and she is very prompt in getting any maintenance issues fixed in time. Cesar from maintenance team is also very quick and helpful. Common areas are regularly cleaned. Lot of parking spaces and very close to market.”

“Best apartment among 4 I lived in the bay area.

The staff Julie and Maria are the best I have ever met.
They are puncture, friendly, and most importantly help to solve the problems(so professional, especially responde to emails quickly to solve problems).

Fore sure the buildings are not new or fancy, but the quietness, location and the nearby part worth much more than the price.
I have to move out for personal reasons, and maybe come back in the future.”

“Hilltop Manor is a lovely place to be. The staff care about the tenants & the welfare of the building & surroundings. The view is a million dollar view. However, the rent is based on income. You would be blessed to get into this living situation.”

They’re also wonderful about explaining what they’re doing and answering any questions you may have. The location is a short walk to excellent restaurants and a short car ride to all the major highways. There are parks and good shopping close by. The neighbors seem very friendly as well.”
