“Love this place!!! Great location for surrounding areas... Beach right there and fire pits on the beach in the evenings... Clean. Nice staff. BBQ on your back porch. Best of all, NO sales/pitch office.... It is NOT dog friendly for WorldMark however the Sanctuary resort is. Same check in location. Watch out for Poop...”

“My girlfriend and I stayed here for a night on the way by to sanfranciso. Absolutely loved it. The view was amazing, and so was the room. The theme matches the location. Took a walk down to the beach in the morning, and it was beautiful, lots of great shells. Will definitely be back next time we are in town.”

“Great customer service. Informative with loads of suggestions on where to visit around the area. Room was decent. Comfortable beds for the two days we stayed. Bathroom was small but ok for what it's needed for. Shower is small. I had to cleanse the shower floor because I found d hair on the side wall. Put a towel on the floor to step on in the shower. The only thing that troubled me was the air conditioning. It was not loud. However, it was very dusty. Luckily the room had a balcony, I dusted off the filter as best as I could. Which once I put it back on the air conditioner, more dust was flowing in the air. Gas station/ mart, right in the same section of the INN. So that was good. Best gas price in town for that matter. Other than that, there is lots of good food around the area. Highly recommend Keiki's hawaiian food! 2.5 blocks down.”

“Older hotel. Needs some detailing, What it lacks due to age it makes up for in service. We were warmly welcomed and the staff met our every need with a professional attitude not seen in some hotels in this chain. Will definitely be staying here on our next trip.”

“Nice rooms, free breakfast. Location was good for what we were there for but it was in an industrial area/farm area. Sidewalks only extended to the corner of the street then the cross street had none and not enough room to walk and be safe with all the traffic.”

“The only reason I give 4 stars is because we got 1 washcloth and had a king size bed (2 adults, no kids, no pets). But I always bring a few extra washcloths from home when I travel. Room was clean, cost is better than the franchise hotels. I like being able to park right outside my room, and have free parking and also no "resort fee"!!! We have stayed here in years past and hope the place is still in business when we come back to the area in a few years.”

“Not bad for a Ramada.Rooms: Clean, cookie cutter layoutNearby activities: Beach, everyday shopping,Food & drinks: 711 across the street, Keoni's, New Tokyo, papa Chevos, QQNoodle, Ho Wahs....”

“Very clean newly refurbished room. Comfy bed and pillows. No grungy carpet on floors. Location is tricky—long driveway around behind Dennys. Less than a mile from Marina State Beach. Only shortcoming was all lighting in room was very bright overhead spotlights. Need a lamp on desk or put a dimmer on the overhead light switch.Nearby activities: Dennys in front of motel. Beach less than a mile away. Marina has Stater Bros nearby, good food at Lees Chinese restaurant across street from Staters.”

“There are so many things I love about this hotel. With my son at Cal State MB, we visit the area more than a few times a year and now we only stay here. All the hotel staff are great. I recently had a personal situation come up that I needed assistance with and Carmen at the front desk saved the day going above and beyond with more than exceptional customer service. And as with each stay, every staff member from maintenance to management was pleasant, helpful, friendly and professional. The hotel is conveniently located near a Walmart, 7-11, Dennys, a park with a bmx track and a freeway exit, yet at the same time it's quietly nestled away in the beach dunes away from the commotion, and only a short walk to the beach. The rooms have always been very clean and staff is available to help if you need something extra. There is handicapped accessible parking conveniently located which we happened to need during our recent three-night stay and there is plenty of regular parking in close proximity to whatever room you are in. I don't worry about personal safety or vehicle security on the premises. The breakfast has always been great. The breakfast staff keeps everything stocked, replenished, and fresh for the full three hours between 6 and 9. If you arrive for breakfast at 8:45, all your options will still be there! I've even needed something after hours and the front desk staff was so accommodating and helped me out.Thank you Carmen and all the great staff who always make sure our stay is great!”

“We had a great time at this hotel. The room was great. It was very clean and spacious. The beds were super comfortable, not too soft, not too hard. Our 12 year old love, love, loved the pool and hot tub. The breakfasts were well done. We all particularly liked the little cheese omelettes and the staff was very helpful and kind. Overall, it was a great experience.”

“They did some nice updates here. We've stayed here a few times since we have family in Watsonville, and they have definitely improved. Front office staff was so nice and friendly. The breakfast was actually really good and they had so many options. It's nothing fancy but a good place at a good price.”

“Nice little place. The rooms were clean. Bed comfortable. Good shower. Staff friendly. It was actually a pretty quiet place being right next to the highway and a truck stop. Also, it's pretty secure. One way in and out. My only complaint was the TV. Only 3 channels had volume. For some reason, the other channels audio was muted. Not a deal breaker. Too tired to care.”

“I am currently staying at the Residence Inn, Salinas and want to acknowledge the professional greeting and service I received from Yolanda at the front desk and Eli, the housekeeping supervisor. They were very friendly and obliging. We got a very nice room. I wish more front desk and housekeeping staff were as welcoming as them.”

“We spent two nights here. Price is better than anything in Monterey where we attended a wedding. The room looked pretty good, my only critics is about the lack of a fridge. The water had a bad taste but thankfully there was a vending machine to buy water.”

“Great hotel for a one-night stopover! I stayed here after our visit to San Francisco. The rooms are very clean, and there’s a sauna that’s also well-maintained. The staff is very friendly, and the breakfast is excellent. I highly recommend this hotel.”

“1st time staying at a Best Western. Overall front desk staff was friendly and courteous. "Jessica" was super helpful with extended our stay for another day. Room was clean and good enough. Level of expectation should be managed, it's not a 4-Seasons. But free breakfast was a convenient perk. Overall it was a good place to stay for a quick stop.”

Thank you for such great service and a great place to stay! Will definitely be back!Nearby activities: Loved that the beach was in walking distance!”

“The rooms are being brought back from the COVID decor. Having the carpet back was a big plus! Two issues:1. The chair at the desk/table should be an adjustable height rolling desk chair.2. The TV requires two remotes to operate. The Roku turns the TV on and adjusts the volume (buttons are on the side). The Direct TV changes the channels. There were no written instructions posted in the room. The first night in the room,. I could not change the volume on the Direct TV remote. On my way out the next morning, I advised the front desk the volume control on the DT remote was not working. When I returned that evening there was no indication anything had been done. The next morning, because there was no one at the front desk, I left the remote with a note. Later that morning I received a phone call from an employee advising me how to use the two remotes. I was advised the remote I left at the desk had been returned to my room. When I returned that night the remote was not to be found. I went to the front desk . The employee on duty assured me he had personally put the remote on the nightstand. I returned to my room, took pictures of the night stands, dresser, and table all showing no remote, and then returned to the front desk to prove the remote was not in the room. The employee found a different remote and gave it to me. I was finally able to use the TV.”

“On the lower end of OK for a Holiday Inn Express. Rooms were good but cleanliness left something to be desired, dusty in some places, drawers weren't clean, some crumbs in the couch, that kind of thing. It is a good deal compared to staying in Monterey and is a short drive, so if you're looking to save a few dollars and stay near Monterey I would recommend this hotel. But the hotel should up their cleaning standards.”

“I come to Salinas once a week on business and I love staying here. Great customer service from the 2 young ladies at the front desk, room is always clean and the continental breakfast is a plus. I strongly recommend this place to everyone visiting this beautiful city.”

“Horrible place. Wheelchair user here. Elevator was shut down at 930pm and turned back on the next morning at 630am. I asked what about in case of an emergency? front desk had no answer. Lights inside the room were not working. Called front desk and was offer a discount but was charge full amount.”

“The family that manages this place is incredible. The rooms are all remodeled. They clean more days than we agreed to on a 3 month stay. The manager almost pre screens you to keep the property safe. 5+ stars. My wife and I work all over the country and this is 1 of the nicest places we have stayed at a great value.”
