“Today’s visit to the Chatsworth Trader Joe’s started off kind of scary. You see I am disabled. I use a cane/walker to get around and am pretty slow doing it. The Trader Joe’s doors shut on me because I was standing there to pick up the wheelchair shopping cart. I was startled and called out to the staff to help me! They told me that it’s closing because I’m standing there. Ok, thanks for the information but an offer of assistance would have been nice too. As I standing there with a cane in my hand and the doors are hitting me. If I moved too fast I would’ve ended up on the floor. Anyway, I finally got on after being battered by the door a couple of times and finished my shopping. If I was an able bodied person I would have left to shop elsewhere but I needed my items so I went on with it. I got my things, went to the register, paid and was told that someone would follow me out to return the seated shopping cart. It was a load off because then I did not have to worry about getting it back inside the store.

Here’s comes the good part! A manager named Stacy followed me out to return the cart. She asked me where I want my groceries and if my car was open! I was shocked and so pleased. She was kind enough to put the heavy stuff on the floor of my backseat. I thank her and told her how much I appreciate her acts of service. It’s really difficult to be disabled in this world. Stacy was just supposed to get the cart back but her act of service made my day! Thank you, Stacy! I hope Trader Joe’s has more empathetic employees like you!!”

“This store has some good deals. But a couple of times I caught the price on my receipt was more than what it said on the shelf. After verifying their mistake, rather than tell me tough luck, they had the integrity to give me a quick refund. Also, any time I have had a question, the staff never seem bothered and are very helpful :)”

“This is a trru d n accurate retail of todays events. At around 7 20 pm today or so my girlfriend n i went to shop at smart in final on mason n devonshire after our trip to vons. We were wslking. W e ll whrn i got to close to the exit with our paid groceries n my woman was pYing at yhe counter as ll employees rushed towards me dropping their hidding spot n cashiers postion to stop me shouting " stop those r ours!" First off i already paid for these n they will not register in ur system. No listening just visious aggressive hand grabbing n snatching. Then louder screaming n shouting of they are ours , paid for n y r u robbing ud assulting us n vandleising our food. Our produce n watermelon. I mean i lnow its from vons but damn . Like that? They just snatched the grocceries to the point of tug n war, ripped bags and food spread out all over the floor. Then they continue to group up n come from all poations to glare, judg r and taunt like " c' mon u wanna sreal from us".
What r they a gang trippen on makets produce?. Or employees clearly disgruntled looking for a fight with their innocent customers . That were paying. Im literlly waiting on the cops for a response right now. Keep u posted
Keep in minderve never stole ftom them, have pir hased hundreds of dollars their before n been harrassed by the same ol' hispanic lady who lied to her employees who were younger that we were stealing n take our stuff. . She was prejudice . N the rest followed by profiling n accepting prejudgement.”

“Love this place. Its such a good vibe. My friend and I stopped in and bought a bunch of snacks. The cashier/maybe owner was so kind and welcoming. One of my favorite places in Chatsworth. Old Time feel.”

I read some of the negative reviews and it is true that the store runs out of regular items from time to time, but I think people should give the store a break. The 1 star reviewers I can read between the lines, that they are always negative. Great bar, great produce and meat section. Great wine section. All around a great store”

“This is the single greatest grocery store in the valley, if not all of Los Angeles. There are just great vibes here, the store is always clean and well stocked. The store manager is awesome, and Brittany, Valerie and Veronica are amazing. The only complaint is for the person who orders the frozen pizza who absolutely refuses to stock the Tombstone pepperoni and sausage pizza, even though the one time they did order it they all flew off the shelves in two days. Puzzling? Indeed!”

“The employees at City Market are always friendly and helpful. Most prices are reasonable. The experience of going into this store is nostalgic. It really is one of the few places left in the San Fernando Valley, that still maintains an old school 1970's-1980's vibe. I really L OVE ❤ City Market! Great place! ?”
