“Over 400 reviews and 5 stars - this is not an accident. They work hard to earn that.
• Price - as listed on the manufacturer's website.
• selection - great selection of quality bikes.
• staff - relaxed, professional.

I was debating between getting electric bike from this shop or from Costco. They told me that the other brand from Costco has constant issues and they keep fixing those for other costumers and there are problems with getting the parts.
They took time to answer all my questions, I tried multiple bikes, they were patient when I had some hiccups with the payment - all while serving other costumers (this shop is busy even during morning on regular day).
They offer some other equipment which I agree on some but they were not pushing.”

“Been coming to this shop for over 9 years, for various things over the years (brand new build for a crit bike, bike servicing and installs, wheel repairs, etc) and for me, this is the best shop service around. Just had a pro tuneup done on my canyon aeroad and everything is perfect.”

“Great customer service and super friendly. The reps there were really helpful and knowledgeable and they made the process of getting my bike repaired painless. I would definitely be going back here again in the future.”

“We bought our Ramblers in 2018 and Laid Back has maintained them for us so they still run like new. It was the best purchase we ever made. Eight years later and we still ride them with Triker's Grin on our faces. Lots of fun. Living near long country roads is very helpful.”

“Not once did I feel pressured to buy a bike and yet i still received all out service. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get into bike riding as they answered all my questions, helped me pick the right size bike, made useful recommendations, and even suggested further research if i wasn't ready to purchase.”

“I used to be an avid mountain biker, but working nights and other time constraints has kept me off two wheels for a while. When I took my mountain bike back out after a few months of it collecting dust I realized my front fork was having some issues so I took it into Mike’s bikes of Roseville. While I was there I was met with a warm welcome and immediate acknowledgment by staff. Andy was so kind and took a lot of time to help me out by answering questions and setting me up with some test rides on road bikes as I expressed that I was interested in getting out on the road when I can’t make it out to the trails. He made the process of purchasing a Cervélo Soloist seamless and I never felt pressured or swayed to make any purchases. I fell in love with the bike and Andy made sure I was able to test out all of my options along with setting me up with the proper fit. I’ve since put lots of miles on my new bike and have been all smiles all the way. I cannot recommend this business enough and thanks again to Andy and the staff! I will be back for all of my cycling needs moving forward!”

“Incredible service and the prices are extremely fair. My bike got on the stand as a walk-in right before closing. Adamen was nice enough to evaluate my issue (emergency break down mid ride) and got me back on the bike with a new cassette, chain, spring, bearing adjustment, and a quick tune within 45 minutes. All while giving me tidbits of info that will help me take care of my bike better in the future. Having a local
Bike shop like this is invaluable and makes me want to support these guys as much as I can. They’ll soon be offering beer/coffee. This place is a gem!”

“I had an awesome experience. We went there just to check out bikes, and the young worker there John did great. He dint try to take us to the most expensive bike, he was very honest and told me what and what not to get. And we went there three times. The first time like I said very honest, second time got the bike I wanted and the one that John directed to us, the third time it was after something in the bike wheel and I called 30 minutes before closing and he told me come in and he fixed in less than ten minutes. Great service”

“I stopped by Bob's Cycle Center to get some pricing options for a tune-up on my bike
the manager went ahead and showed me some of his bikes that were similar that he was doing a sale on he was nice enough to let me take a test drive around the parking lot no questions asked I ended up not purchasing this time however if you're in the market for a new bicycle stop by Bob's cycle center on Fair oaks let them know that Jeremy sent you”

“I went in looking to test out some mountain bikes as I was researching which bike I would like to purchase. Lorin was super helpful and informative. Dude knows his stuff! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to talk to. I would recommend this shop to anyone in need of service or looking to buy a new bike!”

“I've purchased two Trek bikes from Neighborhood Bike Shop and highly recommend them for their customer service and expertise! I had an old road bike that could no longer be modified and was causing issues with my back (I have a fusion at L5 and S1). Trevor, in particular, spent a lot of time helping me select the right bike and the right frame size. Trevor and the owner, Jesse, went above and beyond by taking measurements and watching me ride various bikes to see my posture. They explained the geometry of the new endurance Trek bike and how it could be modified to accommodate me as I ride over time and give them feedback. I am happy to say I bought the bike, and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Knowing I can continue to ride and that I have the Neighborhood Bike Shop staff to assist and educate me has given me renewed confidence. Do not hesitate to pop by this store with any questions or bike-related needs. They are knowledgeable, kind, and attentive.”

“Have not been to the shop but I spoke to John over the phone needing help with a battery problem and he was unbelievably helpful. If this is any indication of their level of customer service then this is a top notch business!”

“I have been going rafting down the Sacramento River for years. River Rat raft rentals is awesome to rent rafts but it also the best place to get into the water to raft even if you don’t rent a raft from them. Its in Rancho Cordova, We now bring our own rafts and park in the back parking lot behind the raft rental store. Theres a parking lot right next to the river so we blow up rafts there and get in. You pay a nominal fee at the kiosk to park. You raft and then Uber back to your car. When you rent rafts from them, you have to raft all the way to their pick up location which is sometimes a long day, or it can be too short of a day depending on whether you like to pull over to the side of river a lot & hangout, party and jump off the small rock/cliffs. If you don’t watch the time, you could miss the shuttle bus that takes you back to the rental place where your car is at. They require you to be out of the river at a certain time. (If you rented a raft from them)
We rented rafts for many years and it was a blast. As the kids got older and wanted to go with their friends, we decided to buy our own rafts to save money as well as when you bring your own rafts, you can get out of the river whenever your ready at the many parks along side the river and then you Uber back to your car. Make sure you drain and fold up your raft neatly before the uber comes and then they wont mind you putting it in their trunk. Bring a towel inside a dry bag on the raft to sit on in the Uber so you don't get their seat wet. It has always been no problem for us.
Over all, its always an amazing easy, relaxing day on the river!
A couple tips:
Its best to go when its 100 plus out or very hot because the water is extremely cold. You will not be hot while rafting even if its 110*. Bring sun block, hats, sunglasses, food and drinks.
Try not to bring bottles so glass doesn’t get broken and pop your raft or cut someones foot.
They say no alcohol but everyone does, just be respectful, keep it in your ice chest until you start down the river and when you see a sheriff, keep it down inside your raft or put it in your ice chest. Lastly, DO NOT LITTER EVER!! Keep you empties in the ice chest and toss when you get out of the water.
ALWAYS CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF. Be safe and have a blast?”
