We were so impressed with how much they knew in calculating the amount needed, the grout etc. Daniel helped us as well as Cynthia. “If you've spent a couple decades without a local lumberyard, what a breath of fresh air this crew is. I was looking uncertainly at plywood when a guy finished with another customer, asked what I was looking for, and then *said they could cut the wood for me*. I almost cried with relief. As is common with vendors that thrive on commercial customers, none of the wood has prices on it. I paid maybe a bit less than a box store, but for beautiful 1/2" sanded plywood: not only did they have it right there, but I didn't even have to go through the stack to find something that wasn't terrible. I'm more than happy to drive the extra 10 miles to shop here.”

“Went to The Newark Home Depot in search of blinds for the window in my house. I stumbled upon this young fellow and not knowing how things work, he showed me to the blinds section where I was taken back by the various options shown to me. He was quick and speedy ask what it was I needed done which such charm. He made the process so easy and painless, he even called a fellow worker to assist me in cutting my blinds to the exact measurement. He even boxed up my product for me. I will be searching for him next time when I need assistance. He really cared about the depot where doers get things done. And I count myself as a doers, he really showed me how to get it done. If I were his manager, I would applaud his efforts. Thank for Jovani for your help and service to the Newark Home Depot, you now have yourself a valued customer! ;D <3”

“Easy to find what you need but first open the app on your phone and type in what you need for easy information in which aisle it is , it saves time . After Covid prize are bit high with all the materials and tools like everywhere but you can still have them.”

“We had our second floor house addition done . As we were shopping around we discovered contractor warehouse HD supply . While we visited Santa Clara , the closest to our house was Hayward. The price was right and we had to order door, windows , bath tub , toilets , shower door. If any one has done a large home addition you would know how challenging it could be to place large orders. We placed 22 windows, with 22 door and a lot more. It wasn't easy until Shirley stepped in to help us and sort our order. She spent hrs ensuring our order was correct and placed on time. She went above and beyond her line of duty to ensure we were satisfied. She did not stop there she also gave us her direct contact and email if we had any further questions. If there were open it she followed through email or phone call. Having Shirly at contractor warehouse was like have someone backing you in your construction project and she took away most of our headache . Even when we received our order and we had issues with couple of window , she again stepped in sort it out for us. We never had to follow up, she alway took the initiative to follow through . We come to rely on Shirley to the level I could send my son to pick stuff from contractor warehouse knowing Shirley will get him the right size/ style/ color/ design . Had it not been for here I probably wouldn't have purchased all this from Contractor warehouse. Thanks Shirley!”

“I want to give a massive thanks to Andrew in the plumbing department for stepping forward and helping me out with cutting some pipe I had bought at this location. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable.Other than Andrew, my experience with this location was very poor. I called ahead of time to ask if there was someone working today who knew how to operate the pipe cutter. The employee had the worst attitude and knew nothing about the store or what products were available. He sounded incredibly bored and gave me more dramatic sighs than actual answers.When I arrived and was asking around for help, the employees were extremely unprofessional and dismissive. There were a couple huddled around making jokes about their genitals and acted as if I was interrupting when I asked for help. Nobody even knew the location had a pipe cutter. Fortunately Andrew walked by right at that moment to help another customer and I was able to ask him for help.”

“Most times ok, but their Customer Service when it comes to Special Orders is horrible. I had to call each time after the date that was given for my item to arrive to follow up. Just to find out it got there and not gotten a call 3 days later. They have improved”

“This rating is for one employee at this Home Depot's Customer Service Center. Ariel was handling my issue regarding an important lost item. He contacted the Lost and Found Department by phone and had to wait for a response. Almost 15 min later, no one from L & F called. He called again and waited maybe 5 min, when he decided to check on the issue himself. I told him I would be in the the garden seed packet section of the store for a bit and then come back. Another 10 or 15 min later, he rushed up to me (apparently he had been looking for me) to let me know that L & F did not have my missing item - but he assured me that EVERY section of 'The Vault' was searched, and that he was very sorry. My strong impression of Ariel was that he was kind, understanding, and caring. I have not had that kind of service at Home Depot in a long time, but it was good to know there ARE good people there, despite the greedy upper mucky-mucks controlling how the business is managed.”

“I was here for a scavenger for my youth group and the staff was very understanding and allowed it so that was nice. Other than that it is Home Depot and it has everything you would need and expect from a Hone Depot.”

“I just moved from San Francisco to San Mateo so I was used to shopping at Lowe's in SF. One of the problems I always had was finding anyone that works there to help me find what I needed. I never have that problem at the Home Depot in San Mateo.”
