“One of few places open 24/7. Everyone is always courteous. Used to shop in the wee hours when kids were small. Now youngest is in his 20's. Time flies and glad they're still here.”
“This place is awesome!! We're from out of state and was looking for some fresh fruit stands and came across Sun Strawberry. Their strawberries are amazing and their cherries and blackberries were awesome too!! Took the wife and kids out and they had a blast picking all the berries. It's 3 bucks per person to go pick and I think we spent 30 bucks for a bucket full of strawberries and a basket of cherries and blackberries, so 40 bucks total for a bunch of amazing fruit and a fun family outing, you just can't beat that sometimes?”

“Been going to this one as my main grocery store for years now. Prices aren’t the best but the staff is great. James at checkout is always there in the morning and my fav dude there, he’s half the reason I go lol. I know it’s gonna be easy and he’s a nice guy.
Only had one issue in a decade, they sold steaks that were expired. I called in and the manager was super sorry and refunded it and has checked in a few times over the years to make sure I’m happy, I thought that was cool. Good little store. Still has neighborhood vibes not all hermetic and corporate like Wally World.”

“Prices are definitely cheaper here than most grocers. That said, be careful of what you buy, some products are more expensive than Nugget. I see why Amazon struggled. The place is messy, but the discounts more than make up for it!”

“I have been shopping at Safeway for years but recently I have been taking advantage of $5 Fridays which pare the bomb! We are able to save considerably by taking advantage of the posted specials. Also, the chicken strips and the Mac n cheese are a definite hit in this house! Move over KFC.”
“We’re from SF but were vacationing in Napa Valley so we decided to drive to Elk Grove for some Taco Nadas and it was well worth the drive! I’m 7 months pregnant and was desperately craving these from my childhood school lunches, so my husband and I decided we’d just go get some. The staff was super nice and even gave us two Pizza Nadas warmed up for us to try! We bought 2 dozen Taco Nadas for only $40.”
“Aimie who works at this store is so considerate and nice, very helpful! I’m recovering from a recent knee injury and so I placed a mobile order through the Safeway app. The rep who was shopping for my order at first was not responding back to the chat for substitutions (ie. I have a peanut allergy and they got peanut butter ice cream) and so I called the store and got ahold of aimie and she took over mid shopping to get my order corrected and even found the items that were marked as substituted even though they were in stock! She is amazing. The other people there could take some training and advice from her on how to do your job properly. Amazing!’”

“Public parking for wheelchairs and walkers. Food is great. Customer service improved. I am very selective with my meat. The meat is great. Not to expensive, children friendly and safe. Plenty of baskets and scooters. If you go to customer service you will definitely see more over there or ask a clerk. Restroom abayand pharmacy as well. Natuayand organics available. Makeup aisle as well”
“Descent amount of necessary food items along with fresh produce and a generous frozen section. This is a curated Walmart from the larger Walmart in the same parking lot. It has a pharmacy inside too. That sets itself apart from the larger store. There are so many people visiting Planet Fitness next door, people waiting to make Walmart deliveries and several restaurants nearby, parking is a real issue now.”
“You don't know what you're talking about, do you? This place is exactly what you should expect of a liquor store. You walk in and out without getting shot, the Food and Liquor are not expired and safe for consumption and they carry other stuff common of a liquor store. Don't keep your expectations any higher than that. You're not going to get white glove service at the liquor mart”
“The Walmarts grocery is in a separate building. It is called the Walmart Neighborhood market. We shopped for dinner, and we were quick here, purchasing our items with self check out ar 5:40 pm. The majority of shoppers have been to Walmart due to their competitive prices. But this Walmart has a lot of vehicular traffic due to their parking and location near other businesses. Hence be alert while driving here. Also, I noticed that Walmart needs more cleanliness. The floor needs detailed cleaning, especially under the food displays, as grime is seen. Also, a good buffing as wheel cart skid marks are seen. Lastly, it needs better cleaning during business time as trash, and debris are in the walk area.”

“Got a BYO (build your own) sandwich from the deli counter this evening from Monique, and she was was so amazing. She actually took the time with me to create the perfect sandwich: turkey and Provolone on Whole Wheat with yellow mustard, avocado, cucumbers, a mix of some mixed spring lettuce and some spinach, pickles, some small pieces of red onions, and some Tzatziki sauce. She even let me eat a slice of cucumber that was way too big to fit on the sandwich. Monique has the best customer service in the meat/deli region of the East Elk Grove Riley’s/BelAir grocery store. The two cashiers were also very solid on customer service and they took turns in assisting me with bagging the groceries. As a grocery store cashier from another grocery store in Elk Grove, I appreciated everyone who helped out with my mother and I this evening. It helped make my mother’s evening tremendously easier, and helped me with certain tasks that I would have been overwhelmed with. Keep it up Monique. People like you deserve a raise in pay for the awesome customer service that you provide to your customers.”
“So many varieties and options for your Desi kitchen supply ranging from kulfi, halal cheetos to juices and sodas from Pakistan. I love the customer service from the owners and their family as well as the meat butchers. Everyone is friendly. If they weren't friendly maybe it has to do little with their service and has to do with your interactions with them. Never had a problem with customer service. Would come here again.”
