“This is the best place to buy freshly cut flowers....they last a very long long time and inexpensive compared to Safeway (no bueno) or Whole Foods (about $5 more and usually all open). I love lilies and they last over 10 days to 2 weeks! Enjoy!”

“I like the guy behind the counter he was always nice to my daughter when we'd go together. Always a nice greeting. This place has lots of beer and wine, some food groceries and ice cream.”

“Great convenience store/supermarket. Prices for some goods are a little higher than places like Safeway (economy of scale) but you're paying for the quick convenience and the fantastic employees. Really a great place to pick up little things on your way to work and quick meal items. Good fresh meat and beer selections. Highly recommend!

Also, I don't understand why it even matters, but it's on the Emeryville/Oakland border (Oakland side) and has the Emeryville area code which also covers part of Oakland. That's why it says it's in Emeryville, it's how Google and even USPS/UPS/FedEx handle addresses. The address gives you proper directions via Google Maps.”

“This pharmacy is the most helpful and competent in the area. I was sick and needing antibiotics, and had to switch to this place after experiencing the worst customer service at the Temescal Walgreens. First, I called in to check whether I would be able to reach a human, and not only did they answer within a few rings, the pharmacist was kind, helpful in letting me know how to order from their app, and the status of my prescription, and THEN when I went to pick up my prescription, the same gentleman remembered me from my call, and kindly informed me he had automatically added a coupon since I was paying out of pocket. I was treated with dignity during a time when I was feeling my absolute worst, and honestly it made me want to cry with gratitude. I am very grateful to this pharmacy and its technicians. You all deserve raises ? Customer for life. Also, to the people complaining that this place is ‘ghetto’ etc, it is not the store/employees’ fault that the area has challenges with theft. That is the entire bay area right now, and you should know better. Let’s support the businesses that are actually serving their customers despite these circumstances.”

“This Safeway is better than my local store because it is huge and carries many more items than the smaller Safeway stores, like in N. Berkeley. But it does not have that many specialty items nonetheless.

This store has the same problem as the one in N. Berkeley, it just doesn't have enough cashiers staffed during busy times. This morning, only the express lane and the self-checkouts were open. So if you had to do a large cart of shopping today, you would have to check yourself out. The downside is that customers are much slower checkers than the cashiers who do this job on a daily basis.

If you go here on a weekday morning, it is pretty quiet and you can get in and out fast. Otherwise, not so much.”

“Corporate office needs to investigate the Redmond and prineville Oregon stores before they cost you money in a lawsuit. Refuse customers with service animals and getting in their faces when we try to explain how it works and telling people to get out because they have an ego. It’s enough for people to take them to court because it’s illegal in Oregon to refuse a trained service animal. Fix it corporate because those stores are declining rapidly”
