“This is my first time renting a storage unit and Manuela made it so easy for me to move in! I filled out everything online so it made the process so much easier. They also have moving carts to help load everything into your unit which is super convenient. The building is really secure and has a lot of different measures to make sure the right person has access to their unit. Manuela is awesome because she showed me how to navigate the halls and showed me how the locks work (she's also super friendly and great to talk to!) I would definitely get a cylinder lock from the office if you have the money to spare. Also, more importantly (to me) most of the units are inside a building rather than just out in the open.”

It was a day like any other, except my car was basically ice skating on bald tires, a situation begging for a mix of comedy and tragedy. Enter Shaffer's Tire, the hero in this rubber saga.First off, let's talk ambiance. Walking into Shaffer's Tire is like entering the halls of Valhalla, if Valhalla was full of tires and smelled like fresh rubber and coffee. The walls are lined with tires so pristine, I half expected them to roll out the red carpet for me.Now, the staff. Oh, the staff! Imagine a group of tire wizards, armed with air wrenches instead of wands. They're not just selling tires; they're curators of the circular rubber art form. The lead wizard, let's call him Dave, approached me with a smile so bright, I thought he swallowed the high beams.I explained my plight - my car was more slip 'n slide than automobile. Dave nodded sagely, as if he’d heard the tire tales of a thousand souls. He then recommended the perfect set of tires - the kind that promised to grip the road like a toddler holding a cookie.Watching them work was like witnessing a well-choreographed ballet, but with more grunting and less leotards. The precision, the care, it was like they were tucking each tire into bed.And the tires, oh, the tires! They were like four round, rubbery superheroes, each ready to battle the treacherous roads. When they were finally installed, I swear I heard a chorus of angels sing, or it might've been the radio on in the background.Driving away, I felt the difference immediately. My car stopped gliding around like a hockey puck and hugged the road as if it was reuniting with a long-lost friend. It was a transformation akin to a caterpillar turning into a butterfly, if the caterpillar was a car and the butterfly was made of top-grade rubber.In conclusion, Shaffer's Tire didn’t just give me new tires; they gave me a newfound confidence on the road. A confidence that whispers, "Yes, you can drive in the rain without recreating a scene from an action movie."Would I recommend Shaffer's Tire? Absolutely. If you want tires that make your car feel like it's wearing four little black-tie outfits, Shaffer's is your place. Ten out of ten, would let them tire-ify my car again!”

“Auto Vino is a fantastic place to take a group for lunch! Phil and Inga are so welcoming, friendly and fun. They made great wine suggestions, and the food is phenomenal (woodfired pizza and salmon salad were the most popular in our group), and even offered to snap a group photo of us posed with one of the cars. Lunch and wine outside on a sunny day in San Carlos can't be beat. Plus the inside is a real treat for car lovers. We will definitely be back!”

“Have been down to Auto Vino a couple of time for their Cars & Cabernet events and there’s always a great selection of cars on show. A particular highlight today was the Ferrari SF90 ? The great thing is that it never gets too crowded and the outdoor restaurant serves up some great pizza if you want to grab a bite. Just make sure you get there early because some of the owners don’t hang around with their cars for the whole day.”

“I’ve used JJ’s on and off for years for temporary garage storage and found Michael, the manager, to be very helpful, low-key, and competent. The garages are well-kept; people in other units seem friendly, and the place secure. Nothing fancy but all good, and usually a bit cheaper. As such, getting a unit may be difficult, but worth the try/wait.”
