“This place was right on the beach. Beautiful views. Friendly staff, huge rooms. Pretty much forced to valet your vehicle, heads up on that. Tons of light comes in from door that you can't block and you can hear your neighbor's. Otherwise was in love and can't wait to go back.”

“Upon check in, the staff were great. Quick, efficient and hospitable. Questions were answered quickly about our AC unit. The housekeeper in the hallway really nice. The bald gentleman the next morning who was helping at the breakfast bar, was very nice and approachable. Jesus was very attentive maintaining and stocking the breakfast bar as quickly as he could. Shout out to him because I thought he was very cute =] And all great experience! Plenty of restaurants on the same block and walking distance from the hotel.”

“This hotel was nothing but great! Check in was seamless and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I forgot a charger and they provided one for me. The room is clean and modern. I only stayed one night as a spontaneous solo travel and this is exactly what I was looking for. It also helped that I got a really good rate. I highly recommend this hotel if you are under 21 and looking for a place that will allow you to check in!”

“Accessible if you have military base access. Whenever I have to work at North Island, this is my first choice for lodging. The rooms comfortable, amenities nice, and you can't beat the view! It looks like they revamped their breakfast menu with hot offerings that change daily. The staff are all courteous and friendly, there are also a couple computers and printer if needed.”

“I’ve stayed at the Coronado Beach Resort on several occasions. The staff are consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They are always happy to assist with anything you need, from answering questions about the resort to recommending throughout the San Diego. The location can’t be beat. Steps away from the Hotel Del, multiple restaurants, shops, and the beach. I’ve stayed in one of the resort’s studio units and was pleasantly surprised by how spacious and comfortable it is. The kitchenette is the same size as the one found in the one-bedroom units, making it easy to prepare meals during your stay. The studio also includes a dining area and a comfortable seating space, so it never feels cramped. If you’re considering purchasing a week, I highly recommend asking whether a studio unit is available. They’re truly hidden gems that aren’t advertised. Best of all, they’re often available for about half the price of a one-bedroom unit, making them an exceptional value, especially during the summer months. I’m already looking forward to returning to the Coronado Beach Resort next year!”

“The room is charming. Air conditioning was great. Service was fast and well done. Its a few blocks away from the main shops, but the walk wasnt bad and bikes were offered. The bistro was very good, but no snacks or beverages were available in the evening. Regardless of those, if we come back, we will try to stay here again.”

“We have been coming here since the old Chula Vista Rv resort closed. We Love the amenities and Jorge. Jorge is so personal and had such an amazing connection with everyone. We look forward to our vacations and seeing old friends that we have made over the years! Chula Vista is a hidden diamond. The location, staff, and amenities are amazing. If I could alter one thing it would be the use of E-Bikes. You better be on a swivel. These kids are farrell. No parent supervision and no helmets. I pray every time there isn't an incident. I look forward to our annual visit to spend some time at one of our favorite places.”

“Went to the Ayres for a work conference and the staff were always very attentive, friendly, and professional. Don't have a review of the rooms since I am local and didn't need to stay there. The lobby was clean, had many places to sit and a vending machine. Bathrooms were kept very clean. I saw a sign they do taco Tuesdays, I believe they catered one of the days for my conference and the food was great! I'm planning on stopping by for their Taco Tuesday special one day. Even though I didn't stay in the rooms, I'd recommend this hotel for any family visiting. It's close to shops and restaurants, a great location.”

“My son and I stayed here for two days beginning July 15th. We came to San Diego to visit friends. This place was perfect for us. There were other families there so he had someone to play with in the pool. We ate at the hotel restaurant twice one time for dinner and on our last morning we had breakfast at the pool. The staff was very helpful and the service was fantastic.”

“Stayed here for a week, what a gem! I was really excited for the arcade games and pool but we didn’t have time to use either. They looked really cool though. The location was perfect for what we wanted to do. We felt safe walking to and from the trolley. Staff were all friendly and helpful! Cute rooms, comfy beds. The grab n go breakfast was a bit disappointing but was fine for a quick snack. It was a bit of a bummer not having a fridge or coffee maker but we made out fine without. Would definitely stay here again!”

“We've stayed at this hotel 3 years in a row and our experience has been consistent. It's right in the heart of downtown S.D. so the location is great for doing the things one would like to do while visiting there. It's right across from Petco park. You can hop other green line train to go north or south. Then you can take that train to the Amtrak to travel further in Old Town. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance as well. The hotel itself always feels safe and clean. However there is a significant presence of unhoused people that seems to grow every year. But that hasn't been an issue for me I just stay aware. We did have a few small issues during our most recent stay. However the hotel dealt with everything swiftly and with kindness. Even the bellboy who helped us with our bags was helpful from the moment that we got there suggesting that he'd have extra towels sent up immediately.”

“My friend and I came from Hawaii to celebrate her 40th birthday, and we couldn’t have picked a better place to start our girls’ trip. We spent three nights at the Pendry and wish we’d booked the whole stay here. The service was wonderful, and Sarah at Provisional deserves a special mention for making us feel so welcome. We loved the food and cocktails at Provisional and Fifth & Rose, enjoyed a great lunch at the rooftop bar. The gym was pristine, with a good selection of equipment. The rooms were lovely, although there was a noticeable musty smell that took away from the experience a little. Our massages were excellent, but the spa itself felt a bit dated. Given the treatment prices and the hotel’s five-star reputation, I had hoped for more in terms of spa amenities. Even with those details, we wish we’d stayed here for our entire trip. We moved to another hotel as planned, but we’ve been back to the Pendry’s restaurants every day since checking out. Clearly, we weren’t quite ready to leave! We’ll happily stay here again.”

“One of Those Stays You Don't Stop Talking About I'll be honest; we arrived at Hotel Marisol completely frazzled. Airline chaos had chewed up most of our day, and we showed up exhausted, hungry, and not exactly in vacation mode. What happened next is why I'm writing this review. James was at the front desk when we checked in, and from the moment we walked through the door, the stress just started to lift. He didn't just hand us a key, he took a genuine interest in turning our trip around. His dinner recommendations were spot-on, exactly what we needed after the day we'd had. That kind of thoughtful hospitality isn't something you can train into someone. James just has it. The next morning at breakfast, we met Mandy, and she became one of our favorite parts of the entire stay. She has this wonderful warmth that makes you feel like you're catching up with an old friend rather than talking to hotel staff. By the end of our three days, we genuinely looked forward to seeing her. Those are the people who make a place memorable. The hotel itself is just lovely. Spotlessly clean, perfectly positioned just two blocks from the beach, close enough to hear the energy of it, far enough to feel like a peaceful retreat. The courtyard is absolutely picture-perfect, the kind of space where you find yourself lingering far longer than you planned with a book or a coffee. And then there's the Friday Wine Down. A happy hour designed to bring guests together; what a thoughtful touch. We met wonderful people, the wine flowed, and it felt less like a hotel amenity and more like something a very gracious host would do for friends. Hotel Marisol, you won us over completely. We'll be back. and we'll be asking for James and Mandy!”

“A very nice hotel indeed. I stayed in a suite two separate times here during my week vacation in California. The lobby is very clean and breakfast was complimentary, which was awesome since their waffles were delicious! They have a little snack area by the front desk with a ton of different options boubd to satisfy your sweet tooth. They also have travel items which is really hekpful in case you forgot anything. The suite itself was very clean and there were two bedrooms separate from each other, along with two bathrooms, and a couch-bed. The kitchen was tidy and there were dishes already in the cabinet which I found convenient. The bathrooms were squeaky clean as well. An assortment of hygienic items were provided in the bathroom upon our arrival, including deodorant, tooth brushes, mouth wash, etc. The only thing that knocks a star off for me was that fact that the carpets seemed a little dirty. A part of me feels as though hard wood floors are the future for hotels these days. Overall, great hotel and whether you are on a business trip or a vacation like me, this hotel met my expectations in a great way, I would definitely return!”
