“What a refreshing experience! I received personalized, expert advice from Tim. I had a concern about pressure on the ball of my right foot. He suggested Sole inserts & a metatarsal pad. Placement of the pad is important & he did it for me. I also purchased a Spenco insole for arch support to use in my slippers. I tried on a few pairs of athletic shoes & there was no sales pressure. Prices are competitive. I still wear the Brooks Adrenaline style the he recommended when I first went here on recommendation of my Podiatrist. They are the best.”

“I I have been buying nice clothing from Patrick James since they were in the Campbell Pruneyard in the late 60s I can never go to another store to find the same quality others try but they can't match I've dealt with many of their key personnel and they've helped me in all of my endeavors of clothing. I like nice clothes that last and look good on me. Ollie and Richard are great in Danville. to sum this up, all I could say, is they have quality clothing at a Reasonable price you won't have to look further. “I needed an outfit for a western wear party in a short period of time. I found a wash "n" wear blouse in red with embroidery and a rose embroidered belt that looked great. I had to return to the store to get the belt cut down. The owner took great care to do that for me. The outfit was fantastic with black jeans, black hat and boots.”

I love popping in at least once or twice a month. When I visit, I like to survey the store and I always seem to find something new or what I want. The merchandise is of quality brands , with trendy and unique items that make it the boutque it is. The staff and owners are friendly and helpful, and are a long time buiness. “A great little shop to help you find the right shoe! When I came in I knew I wanted a Hoka shoe but wasn't sure which style or size would be best for me. No worries though! Scott helped me find the perfect fit! He helped me try on a couple different styles and sizes. Going over each style and what they offer. He was very knowledgable which came in handy when I was weighing which shoe to get. We ended up choosing the Hoka Bondi 8 as the best shoe for me! My feet are nice and supported and fit great!”
“I came across a beautiful peacoat while perusing their Walnut Creek store location while visiting family in Northern California for the holidays. I wasn't 100% sure I wanted that coat as it was the first one I tried on and I like to shop around.Fast forward to a month later and after trying on more than 20 coats from all sorts of designers, I was certain that I wanted the specific R&G jacket, but I couldn't find it in my size online or at any southern California location.I called the Walnut Creek store and one of their reps, Nikki, was so gracious and helpful. Between shipping and payment logistics, it wasn't the easiest transaction to coordinate, but Nikki totally took care of me.So big shout out to Nikki and kudos to Rodd and Gunn for doing an excellent job fostering great customer service. “I've been coming to Quenvold's for several years now to use my shoe allowance allotted every two years. On my most recent visit, I was specifically looking for western style steel toes and Robin provided excellent customer service by going to the truck twice to pull my size and get a second style that was being phased out. Not any women's high ankle boots available though (I'm going to buy off Amazon). Will be back in a couple of years for more boots!”

“I started playing tennis rather late in life. My patient and supportive friend Mariko coached me from the ground up until I could (somewhat) competently play with others. Recently she told me I was ready to graduate beyond my beginners racquet. This day felt momentous. I probably should've noted it down in my diary. (Reader: I did not, but it was sometime late last summer.) Mariko sorted everything related to my second tennis racquet by calling Tom at Montclair Sports. All I had to do was show up and pay for it. Others are unlikely to receive this level of service, but rest assured that even if you don't have a Mariko in your life, Tom will get you everything you need to get on the court. When I'm ready for my next racquet, I'll be coming back to Tom.”
