“I purchased a Precor recumbent bike from Top Fitness. Although my journey in actually receiving the bike was not what I would call smooth, the guys here are the real deal. I've talked with Brian and Mark, both of whom were very helpful. Eric is the one though who sold me the bike and is the one who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. He is awesome and I'm very thankful for all that he did for me. I would not hesitate at all to purchase from this store again.”

“This review is specific to the Walnut Creek Sports Basement location. I will have to say, as a frequent vistor of this location, I've had nothing but positive experiences from the workers on the main floor, specifically the shoe and main clothes departments. The staff working in those areas have been patient, knowledgable and friendly. I want to shout out some workers. Spencer and Tasha in shoes are always great in suggesting shoes and helping me with any questions. They are both very patient about fitting shoes and understanding my concerns. Mani, who helped me tremendously the other day, was very patient, knowledgable, and extremely likable regarding my questions for a snow trip and all the snowgear I would have to take. Once again, the customer service shown at this location always leaves me feeling like Sports Basement truly ares about their customers. Seriously, no other sports retailer compares to Sports Basement's customer service!”

“What a refreshing experience! I received personalized, expert advice from Tim. I had a concern about pressure on the ball of my right foot. He suggested Sole inserts & a metatarsal pad. Placement of the pad is important & he did it for me. I also purchased a Spenco insole for arch support to use in my slippers. I tried on a few pairs of athletic shoes & there was no sales pressure. Prices are competitive. I still wear the Brooks Adrenaline style the he recommended when I first went here on recommendation of my Podiatrist. They are the best.”

“If you need sporting goods and you prefer excellent customer service I would definitely recommend this Big 5 Sporting Goods store on Clayton Rd. My young child and I walked in today and not only were we immediately greeted but the person behind the counter, Maile also asked if we needed any help finding anything, and then I saw a really cute hat as she was ringing me up for a swimming cap and she told her coworker that I was looking for one that I could adjust to fit better around my head. In the meantime, another customer had approached the counter and at the last minute I grabbed one more thing. Maile rung my items up and asked me if I wanted a bag. Then, she helped the other customer on the other side as her coworker tried appeasing me with other hat sizes. Every person working there seemed to have a smile and a FANTASTIC attitude!”

“Paige was the one who reached out to me when I first walked into the store. She is very knowledgeable and she first measured both of my feet. I thought I was a 101/2 but it turns out my shoes were cramping my toes and the correct size I needed was 11. My podiatrist wears Hoka and that was the brand I selected. She allowed me to walk around the store a few times and my feet never felt better. I have Achilles tendinitis in my right heel and I felt to pain or irritation. I love the foam sole and great arch support. I have experienced a new way of walking on air. Paige is a tri athlete and very knowledgeable about walking and running shoes. The store has a great selection of various top rated brands. I will definitely be coming back due to the personalized service and fair prices.”

I definitely like that it's larger and has more stuff than Concord, but the people don't seem to be quite as friendly when I shop here. There is a good amount of parking which is always nice, but the traffic in that area can be really bad during the weekdays. Overall, it's a good location to stop and shop at”

“Great help finding some comfy shoes. They have shoes that fit me comfortably. I have wide feet and was able to find something. My wife found some shoes that she likes(shes been on the lookout for a few months). The best part is that the prices are good. There is a clearance section in the back with a lot of different styles of shoes. They carry steel toe, running, walking, and even slip resistant shoes(to name a few kinds). I'll be coming back to get some more shoes in the near future. Maybe even check out some of the clothing options if I have some extra time. Thanks for the good service and the help with finding what I needed.”
