“Not like LAX but a nice local local rental office. I'm renting a car again today from The Long Beach office. The staff is very friendly and it's a little closer than LAX. Both the manager and staff are very customer service orientated. Again the cars are excellent.”

They picked me up from the body shop they gave me the same kind of car that I had which was a four-wheel drive SUV, And then they drove me home and gave me a refund for some of my money so what more could I ask for. “I've rented cars a few times at this location but recently I rented a car at LAX when their computer was down and I returned the vehicle at Long Beach Blvd location and the process was smooth and easy.
The gentleman at the front desk when I returned my car was so helpful and provided great and quick service.
Stella is always helpful and amazingly fast whenever I rent at this location. I've seen some really rude entitled customers treat her and her staff horribly. Customer service is the hardest job! Thank you.”

“First time renting a car at this place in LB and it won't be the last! The check in process went smooth, checking out was even smoother. Stephen (i hope i spelled it right) was super helpful and kind throughout the whole process. They had a variety of cars which was great because the listing on Yelp is a little misleading by saying (truck rental). I got a Chevy Malibu for the weekend and it worked fantastic. I will be back for my next road trip planning!”

The kind lady Kathy(name can be inaccurate) made sure my convertible is available for as per booking, despite the low availability of convertibles in the area as everyone wants it in good weather. She went out of way to get my car from another branch.

“Avis preferred customer who rents cars a couple of times a year. Went to desk and left with keys in hand 20 sec later (after confirming id). Went to the car and noticed that the ac wasn't working properly, asked the Avis employee in the lot and thy tried to troubleshoot to no avail. Went back to the desk and got another vehicle 15 min later. While waiting on Avis desk, i heard the other company’s agents trying to upsell services like tolls and gas and trying scary tactics to their customers. I was so glad to not having to deal with that stuff while renting with Avis. Easy return. Parked in the lot. Agent came while taking the bags out, inspected the car and received the receipt (through app) before leaving the lot. No gimmicks, no surprises, not trying to upsell. All in all a 4.5/5 experience due to wasting 30 min unloading/loading from vehicles.”

Went back the day after dropping the car off and they quickly resorted the matter, returning me my missing item”
“We rented a car from LGB airport Aug 21-25, 2025. We drove to San Diego where we needed to upgrade to a bigger vehicle. The SD airport office added over $300 in hidden charges over the upgrade fee despite assuring me otherwise (and refusing a receipt, blaming a broken printer and inability to email). Thankfully, Franklin at the LGB counter and James the manager were outstanding - they honored the original commitment and resolved the issue instantly. Truly refreshing to find an non-swindler team in the rental business. Highly recommend them”

“I made my reservation through a third party and had my confirmation, but it was not in the Alamo system. In previous cases where this has happened with other companies they did not honor the reservation/confirmation and forced me to pay the last-minute rack rate for the car. My rep, Imtiaz Khan, honored my reservation and even found a vehicle for a slightly lower price. He was super helpful and friendly! What a great customer service experience.”
