“So this is for returning the vehicle...we rented the car originally from LAX and it was a somewhat of a breeze, transfer shuttle was way long, helpful hint, take any of the others, most of them stop at the same place give or take a few feet. Anyways, the parking lot to enter is off 6th and palos verdes...park around there and walk to the office to get the 4 digit access gate code to return the car. I have attached pics to show you where you need to enter the gate and drive straight up until you see the attendant. Service was alright, the guys were itching to leave for the day....def a bare bones office. Would rent again as it's about a 15 min walk back to the port to board my cruise. Hertz app made it easy to grab my car without lining up, so more or less they got their system in order. FYI: always take pics when you leave your car, LAX had the new AI scanner system so that I wasn't worried, returning it was old school method.”

When I dropped off our rental, I had the pleasure of meeting the new manager Valerie. I was really impressed with how she handled everything. “I have only used Zipcar three times but all three of those times I had little to no issue and the small issue I had was promptly resolved. The issues I have/had are1. There aren't any cars in Torrance where I live. I have to Uber to the car which is either in el Segundo or lax. Which whatever that's not that big of a deal. I have more of an issue with Ubers prices being so high but that's beside the point. 2. I was charged a late fee of $50. I was at the location at the correct time. I was waiting in the car for my Uber because it was pouring rain and I would have been soaked. My Uber showed up 6 minutes after my drop off time. I called customer service and easily got someone on the phone. The lady was extremely nice and removed the fee after I explained to her the situation. So all good.I like Zipcar. The prices are affordable, cars have been clean with the exception of one that smelled like smoke but it wasn't that bad and that's not Zipcars fault that's on the dip s**t that smoked in it. The gas is covered which is awesome!! I actually got a Toyota Tacoma last time and it was NICE!! I honestly don't know what everyone is complaining about because the Zipcar I use is awesome and convenient ish. So Zipcar if you're reading this maybe have some cars in Torrance but if that's not an option fine. Keep up the good work!!!”

“Julio at Hertz in Torrance went above and beyond for us. He stayed late two separate times to help us figure out a complicated rental through our insurance. Most people would’ve clocked out and called it a day, but not Julio. He was kind, patient, understanding, and treated us like real people instead of just another customer. You can tell he genuinely cares about helping others and takes pride in what he does. Truly one of those rare people who make a stressful situation feel easy. Would give him 10/5 stars if I could. Stephen (i hope i spelled it right) was super helpful and kind throughout the whole process. They had a variety of cars which was great because the listing on Yelp is a little misleading by saying (truck rental). I got a Chevy Malibu for the weekend and it worked fantastic.
