“This location has become my go-to store since Palo Alto closed. I'm always being helped by a young man named Aaron. Aaron is an awesome guy. He's very helpful and friendly and answers all my questions and offers advice as well. He always remembers me when I walk in which isn't too often because my shoes last a long time. This is the best shoe store around for quality shoes.”
“Your sales people really know the products you carry. They know the drop of different running shoes, whether they are for neutral/pronating/supinating feet, and which styles come in different widths. They even volunteer the information the you may be due a reward on your current purchase. I had some unexpected things happen on a custom order I had on Hoka shoes. Every person I dealt with took ownership of the problem to get it resolved. I won't be buying athletic shoes anywhere else.”
“My sister needed a good pair of walking shoes! Giovanni was great helping her find the perfect pair of shoes. Also, we weren’t planning to buy inserts but truly what a difference it’s making for her walking with her previous shoes when she would have sore feet and knees on her daily walks. Giovanni was very patient with her. I’ll be back!! Thanks!’”
“Was kindly welcomed Christopher who took all the necessary measurements for perfectly fitted running shoes. Vladimir was also very professional and super lovely. I am a beginner runner, I need wide shoes and I am new to Road Runner Sports, he explained everything to me in great details. The VIP Family Rewards Membership was a good option. The 90-day perfect fit guarantee is very reassuring. I am impressed by this shop, its assortment and recommend it.”
“Sonja went above and beyond to be helpful after an insane debacle with Keen Central. Basically, Keen had a batch of Versacore in the color Primose/Alloy size 6.5 that were mislabeled/missized which they vehemently denied was possible. 3 pairs and 6 Keen people later I gave up being treated poorly (Keen Central not Palo Alto store) and called the Palo Alto store. Sonja took time to measure the shoes to help confirm that the pair of 6.5's they had in stock in a different color were indeed smaller and true to size. She then held the shoes until I could arrange to be in the area to try them on and buy them. An associate validated that the shoes I had received were indeed bigger than they should have been and measured my feet and explained the measurements to me.
Sonja was so nice and apologized for all I went thru and expressed that this was very atypical. She encouraged me to try on different styles to explore fit. She was very knowledgeable about all of the shoes I tried on and Keens as a company. Ultimately She helped me get a pair of appropriately sized Versacore in a different color for very close to the sale price from what I had ordered from Keen.
She even was so kind that she found a pair of colored laces to make the replacement pair closer to the color I had been hoping for.
If you are anywhere close to Palo Alto deal directly with the Keen Garage versus online.”
“I recently visited Footwear etc. in Cupertino and had the pleasure of being assisted by Scott. His expertise and attentive service made my shopping experience exceptional. Scott’s ability to assess my needs without the use of measuring devices was impressive, and he guided me to footwear that fit perfectly and met my requirements. I highly recommend seeking out Scott for his professionalism and dedication to customer satisfaction.”
“Came in today looking for new work boots , Bruno helped me find exactly what I was looking for, also tested and recommended me my right size insole. Very knowledgeable will be back here for my next pair.”
“I will come here from now until forever for all of my dance shoe needs. They were so helpful in choosing the correct fit for me, as I am not in close proximity to the store. Their shipping was very fast, and they even called me on the phone before shipment to make sure that I was ordering what would work best for me. (as this was my second order and the first one i didnt know what i was doing and totally guessed on sizing and fit). again, thank you so much for your help and knowledge! i can now dance confidently in my Flavias and Stephanies! looking forward to trying some more styles in the future.”

“I found adult size leotards in a variety of styles. They could use more sizing. I only found a few XL and they were not truly large. There were no plus sized (plus sized in ballet terms being anything larger than a 10 ?). This is an industry problem, so it may not only be the choice of the store, but I would love to see more inclusion in that way. Half of the store was for children, so they may cater a bit more to the littles.”

“It's a club you don't need to join - anyone can walk in off the street and start shopping. They have a wide selection of shoe types and styles - from steel toe work boots to Air Force Ones. If you need hard to find shoe accessories (like crease protectors), then you can find them here. In addition to shoes they sell team logoed hats and Jackets. And the staff is helpful and friendly.”
“Such a lovely store! Smells wonderful when you first walk in and has a unique but nice flow to it. The staff are attentive but not overwhelming. I had a great interaction with one of the women working in the plant area and she helped me find a specific plant in an arrangement I wanted.
The one and only downside to me is the elevator since it was one of the scariest elevators I had ever been in- it was slow to begin with and then seemed to almost vibrate and shake and make some very unpleasant sounds. It didn’t seem to operate too poorly outside that but it was certainly a strange experience.”
“I was blown away by how awesome these guys are! I came in for a zipper fix on a jacket and they were so kind, efficient, and crazy quick. Plus the jacket was as good as new afterward and exactly what I needed; the shop is also very lovely and easily accessible. I will bring my shoes for repair here and only here from now on (plus other knickknacks like the zipper hopefully), and HIGHLY recommend that you do the same!”
“I've already done a review of the Rodd n Gunn store at Manawa Bay, Auckland airport, where the exemplary experience enabled by the staff (Medi and Chaminda) there floored me. It was a continuation of a similar experience at their Tawa store in Wellington with the staff member Rahul being very helpful and courteous.
And now moving across the Pacific to California. I bought (quite a) few pieces for myself and as gifts in New Zealand, before making the hop to.San Francisco. One of them was a gift for someone in the US, and the size turned out to be wrong. I had the receipt, and armed with that I went to this store. I was half expecting it to be a problem, because of it being a different country, different inventory codes, different pricing, etc.
And yet, the manager (?) of the store - Anthony (spelling?) assured me that he'd do all he can after checking options. And he did. He got the size swapped out! I was delighted and relieved - after all, these garments don't come cheap.
And not only that, he went on to guide me about some other product lines very helpfully, informed me of the upcoming 4th of July offers and gave me the option to choose garments which I could pick up at the offer prices when they would go live.
Unbelievable, consistent service quality across countries. Are they all sent to the same training school or something?
It is such a delight to deal with the staff at any Rodd n Gunn store.”
“Nordstrom Rack each has a different vibe. Fremont has better layout in the store sales and friendly staff. Palo Alto seems that everything is just thrown in the middle of the room. Not a lot of options shoe size for 6.5 - only 1.5 rack. Only engaged with the check out person who wasn’t rude but certainly didn’t seem thrilled to be there.”

“A repeat customer. The service is excellent and the staff expertise on sizing for longevity versus comfort is very helpful. A big selection of shoes too for all ages! We'll be back for the next pair in a few months ?”
“I really like their frequent discount coupons, frequent sales, especially their one and three day coupons, they have valuable savings, consistently, which I really like. Any sporting goods items you can think of is here at Big 5. Been coming to their various stores since the 80's. Good selections of shoes. Too bad they no longer sell rifles & shotguns, as they had some really great prices on those in the past. Make sure you're subscribed to Big 5 coupons, as they have amazing deals on Ammo, many times $15.00 for 9mm 50 count, sometimes no limit. Go buy your ammo now before July 1st, as ammo will go up 11% on July 1.”
“Several weeks ago,I had a very positive experience when shopping at the Palo Alto location. I had a very large return, and the manager Daisy, was very pleasant and efficient. I will share my experiences with others, and encourage them to visit this store.

“It's Macy's. Who doesn't love there sales. The employees are nice (the ones I go to or when you can find them sometimes). Been coming to this Macy's forever. Restrooms are clean.”
“Matt helped me purchase several items. Knows what he's talking about. Was not pushy. Felt good about the items I bought. Redwing Redwood city is a solid place to go.”

“this place is absolutely amazing. they did such an amazing job protecting my boyfriend's loafers, I am stunned. I will definitely be coming back! The woman was so kind and attentive, she is very efficient and extremely talented. I honestly do not understand the poor reviews, this place is absolutely incredible!!! If you are considering going to Village Cobbler, take this as your sign- they do perfect work in a very reasonable amount of time for a great price. 10/10 I will not be going anywhere else.”
“Famous Footwear at Westgate Center offers a good mix of brands, making it easy to find shoes for various styles and needs. My family had a smooth experience browsing and purchasing footwear, with staff assisting with sizing when needed.
The pricing was competitive for an outlet, and checkout was quick, making this store a hassle-free option for shoe shopping.”

“The owner of the shop is incredibly chill and knowledgeable. Helped me get a perfect longboard setup, even though the boards come as complete sets, he let me swap out some wheels and bearings and the prices were super reasonable. Also, if you're looking for the Baker Tim Robinson board, they have a few of the cosmic gumbo and the hotdog one, as of yesterday-just gotta ask about them!
(Just a note this is an old review so idk about the Baker boards, but still a fantastic shop!)”
