“The owner of the shop is incredibly chill and knowledgeable. Helped me get a perfect longboard setup, even though the boards come as complete sets, he let me swap out some wheels and bearings and the prices were super reasonable. Also, if you're looking for the Baker Tim Robinson board, they have a few of the cosmic gumbo and the hotdog one, as of yesterday-just gotta ask about them!
(Just a note this is an old review so idk about the Baker boards, but still a fantastic shop!)”
“Your sales people really know the products you carry. They know the drop of different running shoes, whether they are for neutral/pronating/supinating feet, and which styles come in different widths. They even volunteer the information the you may be due a reward on your current purchase. I had some unexpected things happen on a custom order I had on Hoka shoes. Every person I dealt with took ownership of the problem to get it resolved. I won't be buying athletic shoes anywhere else.”

“The staff at Patagonia Palo Alto are absolute all stars! They went above and beyond to get me the jacket I was looking for (seriously ABOVE AND BEYOND!!!) and made sure that I had the jacket before traveling east for a wedding <24 hrs later. Special shoutout to Thomas who was incredibly kind and action oriented.”
“Sonja went above and beyond to be helpful after an insane debacle with Keen Central. Basically, Keen had a batch of Versacore in the color Primose/Alloy size 6.5 that were mislabeled/missized which they vehemently denied was possible. 3 pairs and 6 Keen people later I gave up being treated poorly (Keen Central not Palo Alto store) and called the Palo Alto store. Sonja took time to measure the shoes to help confirm that the pair of 6.5's they had in stock in a different color were indeed smaller and true to size. She then held the shoes until I could arrange to be in the area to try them on and buy them. An associate validated that the shoes I had received were indeed bigger than they should have been and measured my feet and explained the measurements to me.
Sonja was so nice and apologized for all I went thru and expressed that this was very atypical. She encouraged me to try on different styles to explore fit. She was very knowledgeable about all of the shoes I tried on and Keens as a company. Ultimately She helped me get a pair of appropriately sized Versacore in a different color for very close to the sale price from what I had ordered from Keen.
She even was so kind that she found a pair of colored laces to make the replacement pair closer to the color I had been hoping for.

“I went in for cleats and they were very helpful. I have feet that are tough to fit, and I've been searching for years for a pair that don't cause toe pain and blisters. They provided great recommendations and were very patient while I tried on lots of pairs. Hope the ones I bought will work out for me.”

Easy to get along with, and provides great insights that deliver results.There may be 10 things wrong with my swing, but each lesson he'll prioritize the 1-2 high-impact things I should focus on. In the first 2 lessons, I went from inconsistently hitting fat and thin shots to getting consistent ball strike, which I had never been able to do before!He uses slow-motion video capture to analyze your swing, identify issues, recommend solutions, and explains the theory behind it very well.I look forward to my regular sessions with Leigh - getting the coaching, practicing on the driving range, and seeing my game improve over time!”

“Demo program really worth the money, I used to buy a rf97 just because I like fed and after trying 20 rackets in the demo program I realized that rf97 is not the one for me. So if you never own a racket before, I really really recommend going thru their demo program before your purchase.
Folks are really friendly, helpful and they really know each racket on the market, Howard helped us majority of the time and I cannot express how much I appreciate his knowledge”

“The best REI in the South Bay—and the only one I shop at! The staff here are always friendly and patient, which makes every visit a good experience. The only improvement I can think of that will improve customer experience is to display more shoes in popular sizes, so customers can try them on and decide whether or not to buy without having to look for a staff member to try on shoes their size. Hiking and running are extremely popular activities in South Bay and on some weekends the shoe department is packed with people and staff members can look pretty stressed out.
They carry a wide selection of clothing and gear for hiking and camping, so I can almost always find what I need. Best of all, their return policy is consistent with REI’s guidelines, so I never have to worry about unexpected rules or hassles when making a return or exchange. Keep up the great work!”
“One of the best stocked rei’s I’ve been in - great selection, well stocked, incredibly knowledgeable sales people, not huge waits at checkout, all in all a great outdoor store. Membership gets about a 10% discount in the form of a dividend. Their online shopping is excellent as well. Always beats the delivery timing.”
“This is a good place to play badminton with friends. We went here after reserving a badminton court online.
There is a small badminton shop inside too. You can rent racquets for 5$ each and it costs 50$ to reserve the badminton court for an hour.”
