“I have been to plenty but I keep coming back here. It's just so convenient the location you have so many places close to you just a walk away. It's quiet no one disturbs you. The staff very professional. Their location always clean neat and tidy. Amazing breakfast option as well as easy access to freeways. Just overall happy with my experiences definitely returning.”

“OH MY GOD! Came on a solo trip here on a friend's recommendation and stellar experience. From the moment I arrived and was greeted by the warm, sweet staff, nothing could have been better. The room is gorgeous, the pictures don't do it justice (I was in Celia's Garden). The room was exceptionally quietn, clean, the jetted tub ahhhhh! There was everything you could possibly need, water bottles, even little snacks in the lobby. Location is perfect, Marina area is right down the street for strolls, Bay trail right down the other street. Tons of restaurants, Bella Siena right on the water was amazing! The Inn even has the greatest shampoo and they labeled the bottle where to buy it locally so I walked to the shop and got some. Free Street parking, no need to touch the car once you get here. And an added bonus every walk I went on people say hello as they pass you and smile! What an outstanding trip. Can't wait to come back to this Inn!”

“Great place to stay. Safe, clean, and well kept. I stayed there for 14 months due to my work duties for the railroad. Eric, Crystal, Adam and Zee were amazing. And I highly recommend having Marisol clean your room she is the best. I was in room 111 and didn't have any issues at all.”
“It was a wonderful clean hotel at a good price. We were on our way to Napa and stayed here as it was on the way. Our room (king bed) was really comfortable and looks like it has been renovated recently. Extra shout out to Rachel at front desk who was just great!”

“We stayed at Mt Diablo Inn for our granddaughters graduation. It was the perfect location to attend two ceremonies in Walnut Creek and Concord Pavillion. The room was clean and cozy, bed was a bit lumpy. Did let the office know when we checked out. Will definitely come back when we need to stay over in the area.”

“I read another review and thought it looked like this person was disgruntled. You know those reviews that look clearly unhappy. But as my hubby and I went through the different aspects of our stay, I found that I agreed with him on a few details. Here were our thoughts: 1. Prepare to walk up some unevenish stairs to get to the check-in. 2. Our room had lots of windows but we were instructed to only open the ones with screens. That limited our choices. They need to be re-strung to be workable. 3. The bed was firm, but we were okay with it. Unfortunately, you could not move as the whole thing squeaked and rattled with the slightest movement. Breakfast was good and cheerful to sit with others staying there. But there was room if you wanted privacy. 6. Forget ease of parking. It isn't! And lastly the furniture in our room just looked a bit dated, not antique-like.
All In all a great location but in need of some help. Hope this doesn't deter you from booking as it is a great location and the property is smack dab in the middle of it all.
Nearby activities: In the middle of the downtown quaint area with lots of food and shopping choices.
Food and drinks: Lots of choices and friendly staff.”
“Here to visit family and this hotel did not disappoint. The video kiosk greeting was a little surprising when i checked in but Nathalia was a great help and got me checked in and into my room without incident.
The room was clean and everything worked the way it was described. Bed is a little soft but thats a personal prefence thing. Shower was hot and refreshing and the soaps and persnal care supplies were a recognizeable name brand. The towels were soft and the room gave me everything i needed during my stay.
The hotel location was right off the freeway, but short distance to everything i could have needed. It was a safe friendly area and the parking had video surveillance to protect my rental vehicle. I would highly recommend this hotel as an option if you are needing to be in the bay area”
“Casual place to stay the night. Nice people. Right next to fwy, can be little noisy. Fairly comfy. Allows pets in some rooms. Pool & vending machines. Centrally located.”

Because it is connected to a restaurant/bar I thought there might be coffee and food in the morning. There is not.
Cute little plant store near it.”

“Made reservations here via Expedia. Check in was very easy. They have free parking. The rooms are pretty clean and nothing broken. The biggest issue I have with this hotel is the smell of the hallway. It smells old and moldy. Elevator sounded like it’s going to break or stall soon. But everything else was decent. Free continental breakfast was pretty decent as well.”

“We've stayed here before and had a great experience, so we decided to make it our go to.
I went shopping and when I got back my husband showed me a massive bruise on his back from slipping in the shower. He explained when he stepped back to exit, the floor was extremely slippery and he landed on his back. I called the front desk and told them about the incident and I was hoping to get a rubber mat to use for the rest of our stay. They sent up housekeeping with stack of towels to use for the floor and she volunteered they only use water to clean the floor (ick). My husband and I were hoping management would appreciate the situation and get a rubber mat for us to use ( I have osteoporosis and he's concerned). The manager said there's nothing wrong with the shower, the manufacturer states no mat is required, would you like me to call 911 for you or write up a report? Not helpful and worse...extremely condescending.”

“Great cozy little place, but pretty spacious rooms. A little bit older, but looks to be in very good condition, a lot of modern amenities, and well maintained. Extremely pleasant service. The young lady at the desk was very accommodating to help me out with a work related issue. Cool little café downstairs too. Would definitely stay again, and will 100% recommend.”

“Stayed here for 3 nights after having moved from my apartment without having an alternative permanent location to relocate too.
Service was exceptional, I wasn't bothered or harassed for having guests over or coming in and out at very early and very late hours.
The location has many businesses within a very short walking distance and is is located on one of the most frequented roads in Concord. Getting on a bus or getting to bart is very easy.
Now as far as the rooms... Very nice compared to places like the Premier also located in Concord or The Lodge located in Martinez. A single bed room ran me $130 per night, not in the discounted range but the rooms are very nice, I had hard wood floors, tile kitchen and bathroom, a heater/AC combo unit that pumped out heat with no issues. It was very quiet and I felt like I didn't have to worry about making management angry or regret serving me.”

“Thursday afternoon August 8th. I checked into the hotel for the last minute due to my condo is currently now under construction due to the leak in my unit.
The front desk staff it's okay it was just kind of a little bit of miscommunication I said for one night only when he accidentally charge for two nights on my credit card however he fix it and dispute back to my credit for only one night it took a little longer to check in.
My room was not too far from the lobby it was just around the corner..
The room is very spacious it's very much like having your little apartment except there's no washer and dryer in the hotel room so you just need to go down the hall for a washer and dryer. The room had a kitchen with the stove microwave and a refrigerator. My room was facing the north side where you hear cars going back and forth. Did not bother me because I sleep without my hearing aids. The room is so big it's easy to walk around the bathroom is pretty big even the walk in closet is huge. there is also a kind of a little storage back at the bathroom you can add more stuff even your bicycle. There's only a table in a chair inside the kitchen. I wish there was a computer desk inside the bedroom so that when people are on the computer can watch TV or eat at the same time also it kighter in the bedroom. There is a patio however there's no tables and chair outside. best to bring your own folding chair to relax on the patio.
The air conditioning and heater took a moment to figure out how to operate Once you turn the blue button for cool and then you need to press the bottom button for fan and it'll work. I kept the room extra cool by having the other door closed.
Unfortunately the swimming pool is closed this summer for some maintenance reason I don't know why I just saw the sign in a lobby that said the pool is closed.
Overall I had a great experience staying at the hotel I will repeat it's not bad for the price for $123 a night you really get more for your money. And that $123 a night that's including taxes and surcharge.
The location which I'm going to say about 80% walking score there are a lot of shops and restaurants nearby. There are two bus lines in front of the hotel here's how it works.
Bus 14 and 16 are free runs 5 days a week Monday through Friday they both take you to the Concord BART. Only the 314 bus runs on the weekends and that's free as well. The bus 314 will take you to Concord BART. Bus 14 that is across the street from the hotel is outbound will take you to Pleasant Hill BART and Walnut Creek Park. The bus 16 outbound that's also across the street from the hotel will take you to downtown Pleasant Hill and to the Amtrak station Martinez. The downtown Pleasant Hill has a lot of fancy restaurants, shops and movie theaters there as well. The bus 314 across the street from the hotel outbound will just take you to Diablo Valley College.
Once again the hotel the very modern facility always clean and I was just highly recommend it and there's free Wi-Fi as well.
The only reason I took away one star there are some improvement that needs to be made by the hotel is at 1 it should be another desk inside the bedroom next to the TV finally this should be a table to chair out on a patio.”

“This is a great little hotel. Clean, people were very nice, we have stayed here before and it's always been a pleasant stay. Got a nice weight room. Some of the rooms Have balconies and. nice bath tubs. A little bit tight on the parking. If you have a big truck like mine, the coffee shop is not always open which I wish it was, but overall we had a great stay.
Rooms: Rooms were clean and well appointed. Some had balconies with a bathtub. Others had showers overall kind of nice.
Walkability: There are many little stores shops and restaurants within very close. Walking distance. It's very close to everything including a riteaid. I believe in the parking lot.”

“We stayed for the second time In a year. Our room, 226 was fine up until the last day/night when the bathroom sink had slowed up to drain out ( we did not rinse dishes with food on them..gross. only for brushing teeth) . We also had a wi-fi issue with the connection after we signed in, that was ANNOYING and my husband was irritated. We did not have a problem on our last stay, hence the 3 star rating.Walkability: There are walking trails nearby. One trail, IronHorse trail will take you to downtown if you are willing to walk a little over 2 miles to reach some outdoor shops, restaurants.”
“Tiffany at the front desk was professional and very helpful , sweet. I give her ten stars if that was an option . She def needs a raise and a promotion . Personality is consistent and loving . We need more people like her in customer service and in the world”

“I stayed at the Carquinez Inn for two nights and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the service and the room. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the check-in and check-out process was smooth and fast. The room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed, a flat-screen TV, and a private bathroom. The balcony was a nice touch, and the wifi was reliable. The hotel also has a garden and a terrace, which are great for relaxing. The location is convenient, close to the Carquinez Strait and the Mare Island Naval Shipyard. The price was very reasonable for the value. The only downside was the noise from the nearby road, which could be bothersome at night. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the Carquinez Inn and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a decent and affordable place to stay in Vallejo.”

“Hotel is in a good location, clean rooms and quiet. Lobby is nice and parking is secure. Restaurant on site is a different story. Flight was delayed so got in late, just figured I'd Head to the restaurant and grab some coffee and a quick bite to eat. Was 30 mins before close. Was,seated at the bar and given a water. I was the only person in the place. Was told they close at 845, so I asked for a coffee and a burger, figuring easy. Was told they don't have any coffee, I said you could make coffee, but was told no, it would be a waste. Figured at that point they didn't want to serve me so I left. Returned for breakfast and it was mobbed. One per waitress seating people, taking orders, running food and bussing tables. The complete opposite of the staff at night.”
“The rooms are clean, comfortable and large. The staff are friendly, warm and very helpful. I loved that there were 2 upholstered chairs and a table so we both had a nice place to sit. We had room 11.
Don’t expect big, fluffy, soft anything (towels, pillows etc) but all bedding and linen were spotlessly clean and in very good to excellent condition. I also appreciated the hard floors without carpet. The window coverings were in excellent condition.
We were a bit concerned there’d be road noise but it was actually very quiet. You’d hear just a little noise earlier in the evening but by 9 we couldn’t hear anything from the road. The bed and pillows are firm which isn’t my personal preference but again everything was super clean and in great shape so it was fine for a night. This motor lodge offers a great value.”
