“The rooms are clean, comfortable and large. The staff are friendly, warm and very helpful. I loved that there were 2 upholstered chairs and a table so we both had a nice place to sit. We had room 11.

Don’t expect big, fluffy, soft anything (towels, pillows etc) but all bedding and linen were spotlessly clean and in very good to excellent condition. I also appreciated the hard floors without carpet. The window coverings were in excellent condition.

We were a bit concerned there’d be road noise but it was actually very quiet. You’d hear just a little noise earlier in the evening but by 9 we couldn’t hear anything from the road. The bed and pillows are firm which isn’t my personal preference but again everything was super clean and in great shape so it was fine for a night. This motor lodge offers a great value.”

“For the most part it was a great experience. I felt the rooms were clean. I did see a cockroach in my room but no others during my stay. The breakfasts were filling and had a good selection for options. The juice is way too watered down to taste good at all. Staff including the housekeeper was very friendly and helpful. The hot tub and pool were something my children enjoyed a lot in the evening plus a really good selection of local restaurants that deliver to your room. Yes I will be staying here again next year when I come to visit family.”

“Chance was such a wonderful person. She helped coordinate decorations for a colleague graduating college from across the country. She went above and beyond to create a magical moment and I just want it to be named here.

The room was very nice and quaint and had been around since the 60s but the interior is definitely updated. Reasonable price even for the last minute booking.”

“Great alternative to dicey historic lodging….clean, comfortable, modern, pet friendly lodging.
And the breakfast was first rate, all the options, good Java, fresh fruit and a woman running the show who takes pride in her work!”

“Lovely old hotel, with great views offered. Heater is up to the task of a cold California winter, and honestly, using a rickety old elevator is part of the charm! Bathroom could use updating, but the room was spacious. Luckily, no ghost sightings here, though I do wish we'd been able to check out the restaurant. Parking is street parking, FYI.”

“I stayed at the Hyatt House for a quick one-night getaway, and it was exactly what I needed. I spent most of the day relaxing by the pool, soaking up the sun, and it was the perfect way to unwind.

The location is a huge plus—it’s within walking distance of a movie theater, along with plenty of restaurants and shops, so there’s no shortage of things to do. If you’re into fitness, they also have a well-equipped gym.

One feature I really liked was that the rooms come with a full kitchen, making it easy to cook your own meals if you don’t feel like eating out. Parking was also plentiful, which made coming and going completely hassle-free.

In the morning, they offer a complimentary breakfast that includes an omelet station where your omelet is made fresh to order, which was a great touch and much better than the typical hotel breakfast.

Overall, I had a fantastic stay. Between the relaxing pool, convenient location, spacious rooms, and excellent breakfast, I’d happily stay here again. 5/5 stars!”

“Older hotel, well maintained. Staff friendly and helpful. Second floor courtyard was an unexpected and very pleasant bonus. Breakfast does not start until 7am, business travelers may need to make other plans.”

“So for someone that frequently travels to the US on business and pleasure, I have to say that this hotel is one of those that I love to regularly book! Shout out to Tracy who made this stay pleasant and her smile and demeanour for an exhausted traveler such as myself was very well welcomed.

What I like about this hotel is the ability to cook, but also have a nice breakfast every morning. Julia P. and the rest of the staff have always made my stay and breakfast pleasant.

Depending where you are, you can hear the highway but I think it is only because they lost some hedging / trees they had before which covered the noise quite well.

It is certainly one of those hotels I would recommend to stay at, as the malls and shopping places are quite nearby/walking distance away (but also door dash able)

This time around, I stayed alone but in the past with family. The rooms are double to European standards and are therefore quite spacious. Water pressure is ok for a European such as myself and I was pleasantly surprised that water here was drinkable as I kept being told in other places that you cannot drink hotel tap water.”

“I booked this room for my brother, who lives in the area, had an emergency in his home, rendering his home inhabitable for the night. I called the front desk staff to coordinate the 3rd party check in, and they were wonderful from start to finish, making this a seamless transaction for me. My brother and his wife also commented on how helpful the staff was, assisting them with their belongings, making an easy check in, and providing them with a wonderful stay.

I do not have the names of the staff members that assisted, but I called the hotel around 1730hrs PST on June 5th, and my brother arrived around 1900 hrs. I would like to thank to thank the staff, from the bottom of my heart, for making a difficult time for my family as pleasant as possible! It is truly appreciated!”

“Very convenient location - close to downtown and grocery is right next door. Staff super helpful and kind. Room is clean and quiet. Bistro on the first floor is nice for a morning coffee and pastries. Beware though there's no parking for this hotel.”

“Stayed here for 3 nights after having moved from my apartment without having an alternative permanent location to relocate too.

Service was exceptional, I wasn't bothered or harassed for having guests over or coming in and out at very early and very late hours.

The location has many businesses within a very short walking distance and is is located on one of the most frequented roads in Concord. Getting on a bus or getting to bart is very easy.

Now as far as the rooms... Very nice compared to places like the Premier also located in Concord or The Lodge located in Martinez. A single bed room ran me $130 per night, not in the discounted range but the rooms are very nice, I had hard wood floors, tile kitchen and bathroom, a heater/AC combo unit that pumped out heat with no issues. It was very quiet and I felt like I didn't have to worry about making management angry or regret serving me.”

“We stayed here at the same time last year and just loved it, so we came back this year. We were surprised to learn they changed their name to Travelodge. But other than that everything was the same. Nice clean rooms, hot tub is ? hot, pool is clean. Quiet safe area”

“My wife and I love this place! A nice quiet inn that feels more like a humble community. Room is equipped with a mini fridge, toaster, microwave and great wifi service. The owners are very accommodating and even allowed my car to be parked until I procured a tow! I highly recommend and I definitely will return every time I visit ”

“My parents stayed at the Sonesta Select in Pleasanton Hill for a couple of nights and just checked out yesterday, and I couldn’t be happier hearing how wonderful their stay was. As their son, it means so much to me when a hotel treats my family with genuine respect and care, and this property did not disappoint.
With the Super Bowl coming up, finding a hotel in the area at a reasonable price was tough, but this place turned out to be perfect. From the moment my parents arrived, the staff went above and beyond. They were greeted by a manager who helped with check-in and made their very first Sonesta experience feel special. The next morning, that same employee greeted them again, chatted with them, and said something that really touched me: that guests are part of the family and everyone at the hotel treats each other like family. That kind of warmth and personal attention is rare and so meaningful. My parents usually stay at Marriotts, so trying Sonesta was new for them, and I can honestly say this was a 10 out of 10 experience. What made it even more important was that they had a very stressful meeting the following day. They were nervous the whole stay, but thanks to the incredible staff, they felt calm, cared for, and truly comfortable. I am so grateful to the team at Sonesta Select Pleasanton Hill. From the little personal touches to the genuine kindness, they made my parents feel valued and respected, and that means more than words can express. We hope to stay again soon.”

“The rooms there are very spacious. The entire staff are amazing. All amenities that you need are in the room. Coffee pot, plates, silver ware, pots and pans. Microwave, full sized fridge. Rooms are cleaned daily. Excellent wifi, vending machines. $2.50 to wash and dry. Clean towels, large closet. Very quiet rooms and area.”

“Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was nice, but a little dated. The pool was good, but the jets in the hot tub didn't work too well. The elevator near our room was out of order. Breakfast was good.”

“I have stayed at this hotel multiple times before, but a few things were in need of an improvement.

The last time I stayed at this hotel, the fitness center sprung a leak while I was working out. Since then, it has been remodeled. That's the good part. Since the remodel, there are no ellipticals in the fitness center. This is standard in any hotel gym anywhere. Why this gym decided to have three treadmills and no ellipticals is beyond me.

Secondly, the fitness center does not open until 7:00 a.m.. that makes literally no sense, early risers and people traveling on business want to get their exercise in early in the day.

They will sometimes let you in early, but only if the maintenance people are on staff. If they are not, you have to wait.

Also, this hotel still does not have all of its floors with TVs that can support apps such as Netflix. That's pretty standard these days.

Additionally, they got rid of the valet parking that was used in 2024. In 2025, they said that the valet parking was coming back. In 2026, and still has not come back. The underground garage is terribly laid out, and many of the spots too small to support SUVs or minivans.

The hotel is literally right next to Pleasant Hill BART station. That part is convenient. The train goes right by some of the rooms. I would say the windows block out 90% of the noise though.

Also, this is a cash-free hotel. There are QR codes around the hotel which will allow you to tip electronically. Unfortunately, if you failed to look at the employee's name tag, you (were they) are out of luck.

If you prefer to tip in cash for housekeeping or drinks, etc. that means they cannot break a bill at the front desk.”

“I stayed at the Carquinez Inn for two nights and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the service and the room. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the check-in and check-out process was smooth and fast. The room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed, a flat-screen TV, and a private bathroom. The balcony was a nice touch, and the wifi was reliable. The hotel also has a garden and a terrace, which are great for relaxing. The location is convenient, close to the Carquinez Strait and the Mare Island Naval Shipyard. The price was very reasonable for the value. The only downside was the noise from the nearby road, which could be bothersome at night. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the Carquinez Inn and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a decent and affordable place to stay in Vallejo.”

“Nice staff, and rooms are relatively clean. The pool is heated which is great, I was under the impression they had washers and dryers for guests to use but that is not available at this location.”

“I had a small issue with my room, but Holis went above and beyond to make things right. He was incredibly kind, professional, and genuinely cared about making sure we had a good experience. The property is very clean, well maintained, and beautiful. Thanks to the outstanding customer service, I left with a very positive impression. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this place to anyone!”
