“Mike is The Man! The bolt that holds my gear selector on the right handlebar had slipped off, dangling only by the tape. Mike was able to reconnect it within 15 minutes. It was a major safety hazard, so my hat is off to Mike. And it only cost me $4.”

Came in for a saddle (saw they carried specialized saddles which were recommended to me) and got excellent service from everyone in the store. Chris especially helped me and went the extra mile to make sure it really fit for me after it was installed and that my bike was adjusted properly and accommodated my injuries. Super happy with my purchase and experience here. Prices are fair. Will definitely be coming back here and for a future fit.”

“Super cool bike shop. I own 3 Specialized bikes bought elsewhere... I've never bought anything here, but I had a dinner meeting in San Mateo and stopped in to work on my laptop for an hour. The staff was super nice and the space is REALLY cool. Great place to hang out lol :)

“I have always had a great experience and appreciate the knowledge and helpfulness of the staff at Mike's Bikes PA.
Sharing my most recent experience; I walked in less than half hour before closing, expecting to drop off my wheel and leave it for a few days for a spoke replacement. Max offered an alternate spoke option that was available in-store (exact replacement spoke would have to be ordered and take a week) and he offered to fix it immediately and stayed a few minutes past closing time to finish it. I really appreciate the extra effort and offering me the option. It would have been reasonable to me to leave it for a few days, so he definitely went above and beyond!”
“Fantastic bike rental. My 10 yr old son and I rented two road bikes for 24 hrs, which they extended for free to give us in effect two days cycling. Bikes were superb quality and in perfect condition. The guys in the shop couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Website also has great suggestions for local rides. Really highly recommended.”
“I just brought home a Trek FX 2 Disk Stagger Gen 3 from Summit Bicycles in Palo Alto. Alain was great. He lifted multiple bikes off of an upper rack for me to try out. He let me ride each one. Alain wanted to make sure that I was getting the bike that felt just right to me. He was so knowledgeable, patient and friendly. I bought it around 4:30 pm on a Monday. I had some things I wanted added to the bike and I wanted different tires. Alain told me the bike would be ready the next day, Tuesday, in the afternoon. I told him the traffic would be terrible in the afternoon and that Wednesday morning would be fine with me. He surprised me and got the bike ready for pickup on Tuesday at 11:30 am. Such fantastic customer service! I couldn't be happier. I would really recommend Summit Bicycles in Palo Alto.”

“Rented a road bike from these guys. They had stock other stores didn’t, made it easy to put the bike on hold, and have prices that are as good or better than anyone else.
During pickup, they were patient, friendly, and helpful getting me set up. When I came back the next day to have them look at a gear issue, they were just as quick and accommodating
I ended up crashing the bike on a ride and doing some damage, and was worried about big repair fees. They could not have been more chill and understanding when I brought it back, and after taking a couple minutes to fix some pieces up, sent me on my way without any fuss or surcharges.
Will definitely be coming back here for my next rental”

“Matt is awesome! I hadn't realized there was a bike shop on this street but stopped by to buy a new tube + rim tape. Matt was awesome, the stop turned into an unexpected spot of great, friendly conversation. Definitely recommend stopping in if you ever need anything related to bikes, the store is very cool as well, and it's great getting to know a local business / neighbor!”
