“My daughter's little Woom bike wasn't staying in gear properly, and it was making the bike ride to Oak Knoll a bit anxiety-inducing. Although servicing kids' bikes is not what Red Lantern Cycles is about, they were very gracious about giving it a look (for free!) and making some small adjustments to get her back on the road. Thanks so much to Red Lantern Cycles for dedication to keeping our kids on bikes!:)”

“The service and the products (Farley and Powerfly 7) and now the e-caliber that I purchased are world class. Also, the service department has worked on my Ibis MojoHD3 and that has been superb. Keep up the great work!”

“10 out of 5-stars! The staff is very knowledgeable and passionate about cycling. They give no-nonsense honest advice with pros and cons without trying to push a particular sale.My brother who lives abroad needed a new road bike. Colin gave good advice and possible upgrade options including what bike travel bag we should get. Chris did an awesome job with the fitting based on your preferences. Finally, a staff member (sorry forgot his name) helped us in getting the bike ready in the travel bag. 200% recommended!”

“Tom @ Velotech is the best bike mechanic on the peninsula, bar none. Great service and always top craftsmanship. He's definitely a "bike whisperer" who can solve just about any noise, tick, clack or rub. Great bike builds as well. Recommend without hesitation.”

“Great service and value. They fixed a flat tire for me right before closing for $30. It took only about 10 minutes. I had asked for bids on YELP! and one was $60. They needed to open up a package with special axles to get the tool to get my wheel off. They did this quickly and pleasantly and didn't charge extra. Thanks, Willy!”

“Shop has been super helpful in managing Shimano's crank recall, really appreciate all they put into it. Making Shimano's not great situation a good bit better. Fitting services are also top notch, I'm two years into my fit and remain very happy.”

“I had an excellent experience at Veloro! I went in for a bike fit with Gaelan and he provided a great experience. He is knowledgeable and was able to field all my questions and explain the changes he was making. After the bike fit I hit 38 PRs ! Apparently I wasn't using the full power of my legs. Thanks again will definitely be back!”

“Thank you to this local business for being knowledgeable and fairly priced on their services. We had an issue with brakes for a new bike (purchased elsewhere) and the folks at the shop were very competent in getting it repaired. We are planning to go back. I would recommend based on our experience.”

“We went to the store at Palo Alto. Alex was very patience explaining to us about everything related to bike. It's true fixing bike in this area is expensive, but you have to pay the proper labor rate per hour for them to survive living in this area. So there's no way around. As long they deliver the service, you just have to pay the Palo Alto rate.”

“Excellent service and really nice staff. My son's bike that we bought from them had a small issue, we brought it in and they fixed it right away at no additional cost, and also offered to wash the bike and tune it for free. Highly recommended!”

“I went today for service. The guy who looked at it was very nice. He rode the bike and figured it out what the problem was right away. Then he told me how to fix it which was super easy. This happened after leaving my bike with another shop for over an hour and they couldn't even tell me when they would look at it. I will definitely bring my bike back here.”

“I purchased a Specialized commuter from now-closed Menlo Velo (RIP) less than two years ago. About three weeks ago I noticed a failed weld on the frame. I called Palo Alto Cycles and they instructed me to no longer ride that bike , as it could potentially break mid-ride. I brought the bike in and Christian worked his magic to get Specialized to honor the two-year warranty and ship me a new bike. The shop did a great job building the new bike and transferring components from my old bike. They even replaced the break components since Specialized had sent a bit of a lemon break-wise (they leaked). Christian and the guys at Palo Alto Cycles went above and beyond with the new bike , and may have even saved my life with their advice to not ride the broken bike. Hats off to them. Honestly I was very impressed with their service.”

“I went in with a broken derailleur on an old Schwinn 21 speed. They had me out the door and on the way and under a half hour. They were really nice and professional.”
