Honey & Herb - Belgian Waffle House
765 Wendy Dr, Newbury ParkStopped at Honey and Herb while we were in California, and overall it was a very solid breakfast.
Everything we ordered was good. I would not quite call it great, but it was definitely above average and showed more thought than the typical breakfast spot.
The Bloody Mary was especially well done and had actual flavor instead of tasting like somebody poured vodka into tomato juice and called it a day. The waffles were another highlight. They were well thought out, properly executed, and just flat out good.
The pork belly had great potential, but I would have liked it cooked a little longer so the fat could break down further and turn it into that tender, sticky meat candy pork belly is supposed to be.
The only real downside was the wait. Breakfast took over an hour for a table of four, which is a long time to sit around getting progressively hungrier. Fortunately, the food was good when it finally arrived.
Honey and Herb was not a life changing breakfast, but it was comfortably above average, thoughtfully prepared, and absolutely worth trying. I would go back, hopefully on a day when the kitchen is moving a little faster.

579 N Ventu Park Rd A, Newbury ParkMy favorite Indian food restaurant. Amazing dishes with plenty of flavor options for both meat eaters and vegetarians. The restaurant itself is perfect for a nice dinner with a partner and the bar is great if you're visiting solo. Several great beer choices (I get the Lizard's Mouth and Old Rasputin every time) as well as full bar. Highlights for me are the Nirvana curry, chili paneer, Pesahwari naan and curry fries, but I have never once been disappointed in anything I've ever ordered here. Great service, relaxing atmosphere and excellent food. Highly recommend to all

We happened to go on trivia night which was wednesday, so heads up in case you enjoy that sort of thing.

The service is phenomenal. Very fast for take out. Quality always the same.
Just tonight was the first night they forgot anything on my order, the sauce for chicken lettuce wrap. They delivered it to my house within 10 mins. Never had a take out/ restaurant place do that.
Strongly suggest trying Mandrin Bistro if you love Chinese food and supreme service.

There was so much food I was able to bring home an entire meal for my loved one. I will say the smoky flavor of the chicken was spot on. The tenderness of the tri tip was excellent, not to mention it was so lean and tender. We sat on the outside patio which was so very cute. Staff was very attentive and we really appreciated that. Thank you. We will be back.
