Pet Stores & Supplies

Pet Food Express
1330 N Moorpark Rd, Thousand OaksI came in looking for a specific brand of dry food for my cats. They didn't have it, but the service was exceptional nonetheless.
The shop is large, clean, and stocked with many brands of food and toys. Food is in the name, but they carry a variety of pet supplies, of course.
I was impressed that the employee who I talked to, after realizing they didn't have my brand, suggested a few other options locally which might carry it. They respect that cats are particular, and rather than pushing something they carried, truly just helped me find what was best for my kitties. That's worth more than any product.

NuVet Labs
5717 Corsa Ave, Thousand OaksFlorence Paul here leaving a review. I have been using NuVet supplements since 2022 as recommended by the breeder when I bought my bernedoodle puppy. In 2023, I bought my English cream retriever and again was recommended NuVet supplements. I also give them to my rescues. They are all doing extremely well and my oldest boy who has had cancer in the past is at his best. I witness my dogs having a much better quality of life since using NuVet. Thank you to the breeders and NuVet Labs!

PetSmart
2685 W Hillcrest Dr, Thousand OaksAbsolutely loved this place and how they helped me so much when it came to questions about puppies and their habits and they don't even make you feel bad when you have to get a muzzle, as if you fail them but let me say, they also have dog training classes here and it's so convenient because you have your pet supply also here. The important part is, they also don't badmouth other pet supply stores because you feel like there is a community with all of them. They have a shared goal and that is, the love of animals with the employees

Animal Hospital of Thousand Oaks
1772 E Avenida De Los Arboles F, Thousand OaksBrought my new rescue pup to see Dr. Milburn after my neighbor told me how great her dog was treated. Have to say I was very happy with the staff and felt welcomed.
Everyone seemed to love my boy Buster and he could not stop wagging his tail. They offered him treats and snacks which he gobbled up. Dr. Milburn was a great doc and took time to answer all my questions. Happy to have found our new vet!

Conejo Valley Veterinary Hospital
3580 Willow Ln, Thousand OaksOur 14 year old pup Cashie was seen for issues with his teeth. Everyone - the doctor, vet tech and front office staff - were very informative, friendly and provided great care. They referred us to a cardiologist to determine the best anesthesia medication for our senior dog so Cashie can receive the dental care he needs. We appreciated this so much because this will provide the best outcome for our pup. Previously, our two cats and German Shepherd have also received care at Conejo Valley Vet Clinic - we wouldn’t go anywhere else.

VCA Camino Animal Hospital
700 N Moorpark Rd, Thousand OaksWe’ve trusted Dr. Jennifer Kelly with our family for almost 15 years, and there’s simply nobody else we’d rather have caring for our pets. We’ve followed her through multiple hospitals over the years because she’s that good. Between our five “kids,” she’s been there through routine checkups, difficult diagnoses, and some incredibly emotional moments.
Dr. Kelly is one of those rare veterinarians who puts the well-being of your pet first and everything else second. She’s unbelievably thorough, incredibly knowledgeable, and takes the time to explain every option without ever making you feel rushed. She’s brilliant, but she’s also genuinely kind and down-to-earth—a combination that’s hard to find.
What makes VCA Camino Animal Hospital even more special is that the entire team shares that same philosophy. From the front desk to the technicians and support staff, everyone treats you like family. They know your pets, they care, they communicate, and they consistently go above and beyond.
In a world where customer service often feels rushed and impersonal, VCA Camino feels refreshingly old school. They do things the right way—with compassion, professionalism, and heart.
If you love your pets like family, this is where they belong. We couldn’t recommend Dr. Jennifer Kelly and the entire VCA Camino team more highly. Five stars isn’t enough.

Naughty Pine Brewing Company
766 Lakefield Rd A, Thousand OaksAs a person who doesn't like beer (my partner does) I can say this place is the best! We've been to a couple of Breweries in Thousand Oaks and The Valley and this one by far has the BEST BEER! He got a flight and shared a taste of each one with me. I was amazed at how smooth and easy each one was on the palette. It was so good, I almost took the flight from him. We loved the vibe which is more alternative and the music was great. The atmosphere they create is very welcoming and it's very kid friendly. I can't wait to go back for Emo Fest! My new go to brewery. If you go, I suggest you take a growler, you're going to want to take some home.

Charming Ice Bar
2920 E Thousand Oaks Blvd, Thousand OaksThis place is great. I’ve been here twice and wish I lived closer as I would come far more often. In fact my second visit happened because we were driving down the 101 and said, “hey we are near this ice cream shop, let’s get off the freeway and go there. “. I mean when do you ever get off a moving freeway in California, because you’re driving by an Ice cream shop! But that’s how good this place is. Calling this place an Ice cream shop is a little unfair though, as there stand out is their shaved ice. This is not the shaved ice we all grew up with... Granuly, with flavored multi-colored sugar water poured over the top. Instead this is a preflavored Ice that they thinly shave off of. The shaving are so thin it’s not like eating ice, but rather a smooth velvety dessert. I got the strawberry Ice over Black cherry ice cream. But they have about 10 different Ice flavors and about 20 different ice cream flavors to try. I would recommend you come and try their shaved ice.

Historia Bakery Cafe
11b E Hillcrest Dr Thousand Oaks California 91360Read more I love this!!!! and yes I know the feeling @historiabakerycafe ...Instagram · historiabakerycafe40+ likes · 2 years agoInstagram · historiabakerycafe40+We decided to “try someplace new” in our hometown of TO and landed at this outstanding bakery/cafe. Open for 7 years, it is an inauspicious entrance that belies the fabulous treats inside. We sampled the BLT, avocado toast, fig and goat cheese toast and the potato cheese knish over two visits. Every item was scrumptious with the knish being a stand out. The crust is a flaky, croissant like texture buttery good with a soft potato and fontina cheese center. Absolutely amazing. Definitely the best in the Conejo and San Fernando valleys. Have not tried their bakery items yet, but this is definitely a place we will be returning to again and again. The coffee is rich in flavor with chocolate undertones and the chai latte is sweet and fresh. No packets dumped into hot water. They also have an active chess club. Enjoy.
