Healthy Pet
67 N Reino Rd, Thousand OaksThis review is for Ron. He was great. I went in because I found a flea on my cat & was kinda freaking out, wanting to see if there were any products I'd feel comfortable using. I actually went in two times that day. The first time he spent quite a bit of time w/ me & I ended up buying just a double bladed flea comb that he recommended. The 2nd time was after I used the comb & found more fleas. Ugh. Both times he was friendly & amazing at listening to my concerns about strong chemicals if avoidable, or essential oils that are advertised to naturally treat fleas but are actually harmful to cats. He spent time standing there w/ me looking through all the ingredients of many different products (they have a great selection). Also, he used to be a groomer so he had some knowledge based on that. He really seemed to care & his support meant a lot to me. If you have a need or question, go see Ron! And Ron, I hope you read this. Thank you, I appreciate you.

PetSmart
2685 W Hillcrest Dr, Thousand OaksAbsolutely loved this place and how they helped me so much when it came to questions about puppies and their habits and they don't even make you feel bad when you have to get a muzzle, as if you fail them but let me say, they also have dog training classes here and it's so convenient because you have your pet supply also here. The important part is, they also don't badmouth other pet supply stores because you feel like there is a community with all of them. They have a shared goal and that is, the love of animals with the employees

Pet Grooming
Barkingham Palace
783 Pamela Wood St, Thousand OaksAnthony did an excellent grooming on our challenging-to-groom Havenese, Murphy. We've had Murphy groomed by others but none had done as thorough a job as Anthony. We were so pleased...so happy, and Murphy was too! He looks like a little rock star now!! Anthony is professional, creative and affable too. We will definitely have Anthony groom Murphy again and have already made our follow-up appointment.

Mary's Pet Salon
2681 Thousand Oaks Blvd, Thousand OaksMary goes above and beyond grooming our dogs. She is super sweet to them and they aren't stressed in her salon because she only ever has a couple of dogs in her salon at once. We are very particular about how we like our cavapoo and king charles groomed and Mary always exceeds our expectations. Her prices are comparable to other groomers in the area but her golf star service far surpasses the other salons.

Pet Care
Animal Clinic of the Oaks

Caring Hands Veterinary Hospital, A Thrive Pet Healthcare Partner
1020 E Avenida De Los Arboles, Thousand OaksI can't speak highly enough of Caring Hand Veterinary and Dr. Kohan's exceptional care for my beloved German Shepherd. My king German Shepherd has struggled with severe allergies, and Dr. Kohan went above and beyond to ensure he received the best treatment possible. The level of attention and expertise provided by Dr. Kohan was truly remarkable. I felt reassured knowing that my pet was in capable hands. I highly recommend Caring Hand Veterinary and Dr. Kohan to anyone seeking compassionate and professional veterinary care.

Dr. Lowe
2223 Michael Dr, Newbury ParkWe took our dog to here for the first time yesterday and they were great. Not only did they get us an appointment quickly but they were so nice and accommodating. We usually dread taking our dog to the vet and have been wanting to find a new vet for a while and so glad we tried a Borchard vet clinic. Dr Lowe was so nice and just reminded me of an old school vet that is there for the best interest of your pet We have found our new vet!

Vetco
140 W Hillcrest Dr STE 101, Thousand OaksThe employees are all very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about their products. We do not feed our dogs low quality food as they are on a special diet for their age and health concerns and Petco prices on what we feed them is priced along the line of any other place who sells it (online or in stores). I would hate to see this store closed. Most of the groomers who have done our dogs are great and love pets. My only complaint would be the groomers we really love seem to move on after 6-12 months.

Arboles Animal Clinic
413 E Avenida De Los Arboles, Thousand OaksEdit: when I posted this, I forgot I left one 9 months ago as well. That just goes to show, I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! Been going to Dr Bremer for a very long time. All together I've brought in over 20 animals. Can't say enough great things about him and his staff. Truly!!! His staff is very nice, accommodating and always look you in the face when talking to you. That always means a lot to me. Willing to spend time talking and explaining things. They're patient, return phone calls, make sure Kona's meds are correct. Dr Bremer always calls after procedures and with any info needed after appointments. He's patient with Harley who is a 90lb nervous dog. If old time personal, caring, knowledgeable care , which is hard to find these days, is what you're looking for, you need to come here. Family owned, which is important to me. No corporate BS here. Prices are great, very caring. I HIGHLY recommend

Animal Hospital
1772 E Avenida De Los Arboles F, Thousand OaksI have had lots of animals and lots of vets to take care of them... Doc. Jody is among the best... She truly cares about the animals that she works with; putting extra care and effort to do what's best for the animal and the owner... when my once in a lifetime dog was said to be beyond help... She saved him... And when that time came for him to pass... She was very gentle and compassionate and caring for both me And my dog. My new dog is a Queensland heeler with a very different personality... She handles him without issue... and that's saying something;)

VCA Camino Animal Hospital
700 N Moorpark Rd, Thousand OaksThis is the BEST Veterinarian hospital that I have ever been to!!! It took three different places for me to go to, and a lot of wasted money before I finally found Doctor Kissel. She was very friendly, caring and the only vet that was able to help my German Shepard. I really can’t say enough wonderful things about this amazing Doctor. I am very grateful for her. They are also very reasonably priced for their wonderful service.I would never consider going anywhere else. All of the staff are friendly and very sweet and caring as well.I would recommend avoiding Midtown and Banfield vet clinics!!!! It seems that all they care about is collecting as much money as possible without any results. Very sad ?

Pet Sitting & Training
Zoom Room Dog Training
45 N Rancho Rd, Thousand OaksI started bringing my husky mix here when he was 12 weeks to their puppy preschool classes and after going, wish I'd known about them when he was 8 weeks! I desperately needed some help with my hyperactive land shark! He's now moving up to the puppy + classes after turning 16 weeks recently! The whole crew has been monumental in his training and are so patient with him and my inexperience with such a distracted and hyper breed. They've taught us so many things that have made a night and day difference in my now not so little pup. They ask about and address specific concerns and issues we have instead of pushing out a one size fits all style of training. They offer support/advice not just with training but also with crate concerns, treat values, toys/enrichment, and even poop formation (helped me find pumpkin my vet recommended but that he would actually eat)!! The class sizes have always been manageable and the trainers are always understanding of my VERY distracted pup and offer guidance on how to handle that appropriately AND effectively. I am excited to continue with my pups trainings here and try out some of the agility and obedience classes as he progresses!I highly, HIGHLY, recommend them to anyone seeking trainings, play groups and even 1:1 training sessions. The work they do there is paramount to mine and my pups happiness! ?

Bill's Hospitality Inn 4 Dogs
1949 Chalon St, Thousand OaksMy husband and I were extremely pleased to have found Bill’s Hospitality Inn 4 Dogs! We were taking care of my sister’s dog after her car accident and didn’t have much time to locate a kennel before a trip. I did’t know a lot about the dog, Lucy, and was having trouble on my own getting her to eat. I was also nervous about leaving Lucy for a week because she had also been in the accident and was still shaken. Bill was truly wonderful and a life saver for us and especially Lucy. Bill was able to get her to eat and he and his daughter, Dawn, were very helpful and loving towards Lucy. I especially loved that the dogs that stay at Bill’s can go anywhere they want in the house and lie on the covered furniture. Bill knew I was so worried about Lucy and he was kind enough to send me photos of her while we were gone. I don’t think you could find a better place for your dog than Bill’s!! Very highly recommend.

Newbury Bark
138 N Madrid Ave, Thousand OaksLisa and Anton are wonderful. My puppy Finley just got his vaccinations completed and was in doggy day care for the first time with Newbury Bark. We had a meet and greet the week prior to ensure he'd get along with the other animals. Yesterday we picked him up from Lisa and Anton after a full day of care. We had received numerous pictures, videos, and updates to put our minds at ease. He was so relaxed and happy. They were so affectionate to him and the other dogs. I'm so grateful to have found them through their excellent reviews. I will be using Newbury Bark for all my doggy daycare and boarding needs.

The Doggy Den
975 Business Center Cir, Thousand OaksMy rescue Pomeranian Sylvie is a little scared of other dogs, especially big ones. But I needed either a daycare or dog walker to watch over Sylvie while I was at work, and I happened to come across the Doggy Den. I like that the Doggy Den strikes a good balance between flexibility and ensuring that the dogs are in a safe environment. They check vaccination records for every dog that enters the facility but also accept booking requests that are made super last minute (I'm guilty of this). I dropped Sylvie off in the morning, paid for a full day of service, and picked up Sylvie in the afternoon. The whole process was very easy, and I had the peace of mind knowing that she was being looked after. When I picked up Sylvie the first day, she was a little quiet and seemed ready to leave. She is pretty reserved when it comes to new experiences such as this, so I didn't see it as a concern. On the second day, she was visibly more excited and alive. I think after an adjustment period, she will be more comfortable with being at daycare. Price-wise, Doggy Den is on par with most daycares in the area. I like that they also have an Instagram page, where you can see pictures of the cute dogs and play areas. If I have one small complaint, it's that my dog smelled heavily of daycare when I picked her up. Overall, this is a solid choice if you are looking for a safe place to drop off your dog in the Thousand Oaks area.

Rhineland Deli
1817 E Thousand Oaks Blvd, Thousand OaksFound this place on accident. Surprisingly delighted by their offerings and the quality. First, let me tell you that the large sandwich is worth two meals. But don't let me tell you how to eat their food...just let me tell you what I ordered. I have been here twice. I ordered something different each time. First time, I ordered I got the Americano. Second time, I got the italiano. Omg!!! Both sandwiches knocked my socks off. Chock full of high quality meats and cheeses...and the toppings were an absolute delicious complement to the sandwich. The bread is fresh and soft and a perfect delivery tool for the amazing ingredients. When you get here, there will probably be a line. But it moves very fast. Don't be discouraged. Just get in line. The person taking your order knows all the sandwiches very well and they are happy to help you navigate the menu if you need it. I went with five friends. We all got a different variety of sandwiches. Everyone was pleased. This place also serves as an Italian market. Lots of nice offerings. Including containers of sauces and frozen pasta's and even lasagna. Great idea to take some of these well-made ingredients and make some thing. Fabulous at home. They do have specials. Usually a half sandwich and a side for about the same money as a large sandwich. So, it depends on if you are good at managing leftovers or just want enough food to finish in one sitting. I haven't made my way around to the lunch specials because I'm still working on their specialty sandwiches. Hot tip: get a side of the Italian dressing to dip your sandwich in. OMG! It's so good! They make it in-house and it is very obvious that they put a lot of love into each of their things even their Italian dressing. Are you still reading? Get your butt over there and order something. Don't forget I told you a large sandwich is a lot. Have a great day! I hope you enjoy it as much as me and my friends did.

765 Wendy Dr, Thousand OaksI like that there are a lot of vegetarian and vegan options. The coffee's were non acidic and the fruit was super good. The gluten-free waffles are made with soy. I didn't try it but noticed it. All the ingredients tasted fresh. You can spice things up or have it as is. I ordered the avocado toast and the Great Eggspectations sandwich and 2 coffees to go. It travelled well. The service was quick and the guy at the register was very helpful. Dog friendly on the patio. I think it's worth a try if you're in Thousand Oaks.
