Her loving care was so appreciated when she remembered my puppy Shelby’s birthday with a bag full of treats, hair bows, and Shelby’s favorite toy, Lamb Chop.
While we waited, we watched Aurora carefully working on another customer’s dog, creating a beautiful and precise haircut with incredible attention to detail. Aurora provides high-quality grooming and truly goes beyond grooming. She genuinely loves and cares for the dogs she works with.
We can’t wait for our next appointment for Shelby’s feet trim and paw pad grooming on my long-haired Shih Tzu. Aurora is the only groomer in Westlake Village I would trust with her hair.
Many thanks for the wonderful service and for always showing such kindness to my little girl.

3747 E Thousand Oaks Blvd, Westlake VillageThe best groomer I have found, hands down! Not only are they incredibly sweet and skilled but they always find space for my girls, even last minute. The facility is always clean and well kept, you can tell they treat each dog with kindness—this is the only groomer I have found where my dogs are not scared to enter or exit the building. I have one that has skin tags and this is also the only groomer I have found that is mindful to that: one groomer I told proceeded to cut over them and when I got her back, you could tell several of them had bled.
I can’t recommend animal house enough. The pricing is fair, the space is great and the people are wonderful!

During the last six months of Butter’s life, Dr. Anderson treated him with such patience, gentleness, and genuine compassion. Every visit felt unhurried and thoughtful. He took the time to explain everything clearly, answered every question with kindness, and always made Butter’s comfort the priority.
The entire staff was equally incredible. From the front desk to the technicians, everyone showed such care, empathy, and attentiveness during an incredibly emotional time. I never once felt rushed or alone in the process.
After Butter passed, the team sent me a beautiful handwritten card that they all signed and mailed. That gesture meant more to me than I can express and speaks volumes about the kind of people who work here. It wasn’t just professional care, it was truly human.
I am deeply grateful for the respect, compassion, and kindness shown to Butter and to me during his final months. I would wholeheartedly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a veterinary team who truly cares.

She unfortunately had the task today of informing us that our 12 year old German Shepherd had a very aggressive cancer and did not have much time left on this earth. She referred us to an oncologist and gave us some other options to keep our doggy comfortable in case we did not want to go the route of chemotherapy. You really can't ask for anything more than that from your vet. She met and exceeded our expectations in this extremely difficult situation.

742 Hampshire Rd a, Westlake VillageI can wholeheartedly recommend Matan Dog Training based on our experience with our Rottweiler, Sequoia.
Sequoia spent seven weeks in their Board & Train program. She is a two year old Rottweiler who, despite a tremendous amount of effort on our part with training, socialization, and exposure to both people and dogs, had become increasingly reactive toward humans and other dogs. With a large, powerful working breed, that level of reactivity is something you simply cannot take lightly.
I don’t believe in saying that a dog like Sequoia is suddenly “cured.” She is still naturally cautious around unfamiliar people, and she is not, and probably never will be, the type of dog that every stranger should walk up and pet. But the change in her behavior after seven weeks with the Matan Dog Training team has been dramatic.
Her human reactivity is now virtually nonexistent. The lunging is gone. We can actually sit with her on a bench or at a coffee shop and relax instead of constantly worrying about how she might react to a waiter or someone walking past us. That alone has been a huge change in our lives with her.
She is substantially less reactive overall, more confident, much better with commands, and extremely responsive to the e collar system they introduced and taught us how to use appropriately. Just as importantly, I feel more confident handling her and better able to provide the clear, consistent leadership she needs. The program didn’t just improve Sequoia’s behavior. It gave us better tools and improved our relationship with her.
I also can’t say enough about the people at Matan Dog Training. Matan Shaibi himself has built an incredible team and clearly understands dogs, particularly dogs with more challenging behavioral issues. Amelia did an amazing job working with Sequoia, and Heather, Michael, Josie, and the rest of the staff were consistently kind, communicative, responsive, and supportive.
Throughout the seven weeks, I trusted them completely with Sequoia’s safety, happiness, and well-being. That means a lot when you are leaving a dog you love somewhere for that length of time. They were professional, compassionate, reliable, and have continued to make themselves available when we have questions or need advice. I genuinely feel like Sequoia now has an extended family there.
For anyone dealing with serious reactivity, particularly with a large, powerful working breed where the stakes are higher, I would recommend Matan Dog Training without hesitation. They understand that some behavioral tendencies are deeply rooted in a dog’s temperament and cannot simply be erased, but they know how to work with those traits and create meaningful, practical, real-world improvement.
We are incredibly grateful to Matan, Amelia, Heather, Michael, Josie, and the entire team for what they have done for Sequoia and for us.

L A School For Dogs - Best Dog School in California
31828 Village Center Rd, Westlake VillageWe sent our vizsla to LA School for Dogs 3 years ago and she did the 3 week program, it was amazing and she was an entirely new and improved girl after she finished! We can take her anywhere! If you're on the fence about doing the 3 week program at all...just do it, it's so worth it!! We have regularly stayed in contact with Jennifer since then and can reach out to her with any questions or concerns.

They even have a little joke about it on the wall. My pita wrap was really good though. At the suggestion of other reviews I went with the garlic butter chicken. It was a bit of an upcharge but since I was getting the daily special it evened out. It came with seasoned fries that were nice and crispy. No drink was included so I purchased one and the lady said since I'm buying a drink and would waive the upcharge. Sweet! Most people order to go but there's tables if you want to eat there. A few tables outside as well.

They say farm to table ingredients from farmers market. Started with burrata and house made focaccia which were both incredible. Burrata had perfect texture, arugula and figs balance the dish well. For entree we got rock shrimp pasta and the sauce tasted so fresh and flavorful. Mushroom half bread was full of fresh mushrooms.

Picked up a couple of what I would call a chocolate chip croissant and oh are they good! We stayed at the hotel next door and are back in San Diego but next time we are back in the area we shall return for a visit!

3059 Willow Ln, Westlake VillageMy husband and I have been visiting Gessinger Winery since 2009. We first discovered it at the Santa Barbara, CA location, and most recently we’ve visited the winery in Westlake Village, CA.
On our last two visits—including just this past weekend—we had the opportunity to do a wine tasting with the owner, which made the experience even more special.
We sampled a variety of wines, and many of them were delicious, refreshing, and beautifully crafted. My personal favorites were the Cabernet Franc and the Petite Sirah. What I especially enjoy about Gessinger’s wines is that they’re fruit-forward rather than overly heavy, making them incredibly smooth and enjoyable to drink.
If you’re looking for quality wines and a welcoming, personal tasting experience, Gessinger Winery is definitely worth a visit!

This time, we had the pleasure of meeting Travis, our server. He was attentive and very friendly. What really set our experience apart was the manager, John, who went above and beyond to make us feel valued. He took the time to stop at our table and chat. This is why Finney's is unique. The staff pays special attention to making guests feel welcomed. We can't wait to move back to the area so we can enjoy this amazing restaurant more often.

Tifa Chocolate & Gelato
30760 Russell Ranch Rd Ste A, Westlake VillageBeen to other locations for Tifa. But this was our first visit to his location. There is a nice fountain right outside of the store so it would be a nice experience to sit by the fountain and enjoy the gelato.
The inside of this store is nice, pretty similiar to the other location nearby. You can get board games and hang out a bit in the cool air conditioning.
We got two samples and my daughter ordered a small cup. She liked the flavors. It would have been better if the greetings were a bit warmer. Really there wasn’t much, not even hello or a smile from either server of the day. I have been to a few places in a day and this was the only one that was a bit off.
Overall this is a nice place to get gelato.
